I love the whole Hotashi video thing and the "Just mash 5p and counter her" but Elphelt mains dont tell you that only work if she does the string in a certain way, if she changes anything or ends on shotgun, there is nothing you can do but take the loop and pray you manage to either backdash or something

I hope some more guides come out for specific characters and their tools on beating Chain Lollipop for my homies hardstuck at lower floors.
Yeah. Until she continues her rekka and you run out of tension meter. She can also do a low attack or overhead to knock you out of Faultless Defense and continue the rekka.

Even playing against em the most monkey brained player would spam it, eventually you'd learn to hold back, which will block it, then you use the time to counter instead. Or alternatively that's on you for not wanting to put the effort in. I mean I'm not saying it's dumb not wanting to spend money but idk, I and anyone else who plays the game enough and loves to lab did it so that's a whole different conversation. Like I doubt either of us play tournaments, but you reason for losing can't be "well I didn't want to buy the characters so idk how they play so you won obviously."

Took me 1 match to learn how to counter it. Hotashi isn't that great of a source of information, the guy is terrible at critical thinking and its a big part of why he hasn't won anything besides that one time. That and HC existing.

Like maybe having a resource system so that you can reset it a limited amount of times before you have to stop. This isn't an infinite. You can back-dash at certain intervals or 5P/6P the first move of Chain Lollipop (the leap) if she doesn't mix anything up. There are ways to make it extremely hard to punish by the Elphelt player. However, you're on a lower floor, so they are unlikely to go for some of these options.

The shotgun ends the sequence and puts a distance between you and her, it's the easiest moment to leave the loop
you can mash 5p after every single one of the followups on block except the H followup, which already ends the sequence

I use training mode all the time. It doesn't help because I didn't pay the $7 to be able to use Elphelt in training mode.
