I've been in a similar situation on a date, mighty hard work indeed, I felt I was flogging a dead horse until she had a few to drink and she came to life, total different person.
Escorted her to the taxi rank and waved her goodbye, funny thing was I actually met my next girlfriend as I got into the next taxi, she asked if her and her friend could share.
I never did hear from the girl I had the date with again, no loss really.

I’d personally along with others would like my partner to be intelligent, funny, easygoing and kind. Someone that you can be honest with and connect with. She wouldn’t allow any of that, and you would feel like you have to provide a lot more than what you’re getting out.
