This is a chaotic woman who has made poor life choices and who now expects a man to jump through hoops for her, despite the fact her dating market value is severely diminished with two very young children. This woman is expecting a high-value man to 'wait' at a time when her dating market value is low, but she gave lower-value men the key to access when her dating value was higher. She will be single for a very long time.

He seemed enamored with her from the start, but so much so that none of his natural personality could come out. I’d say this was a dance, more than two people figuring out whether they had long-term compatibility. I guess they will, ultimately.

I'm hoping the drinking was an attempt to calm her nerves. If it wasn't, I agree, she needs to get that in check pronto. Out of control drinking = instability, and everyone should have a stable partner. As to being a single Mom, for some men it's not a deal breaker.
