Dude I binged your videos already! Great content, keep it up. I used to ignore the Panameras because of their styling but they really grew on me over the years.
Hahaha! I ordered the same R1 Concept rotors but I returned them after receiving them because they did not look like the ones advertised and just ordered the Zimmerman front rotors. Thanks for the vid! Time to change my front rotors on the Panamera now. 👍
Thank you so much for this. I have a 2010 as well. Only issue I came across was the bolts on the caliper were different than the video. I had my T14 ready to go I had to run out and get a torx socket.
I’ve been looking to buy the panamera 2014, I really wanted a 911 but the price have gone through the roof at the moment. But for the money I think they are really good value. Over here in England they are going for around £27000 pounds with full service history and 50,000 miles. Thanks for the videos they are very helpful.
Thanks for Watching! Right now the prices on first gen Panamera's are starting to go up a little. With the announcement that the future of the Panamera will be electric. I feel that prices will go up even more.
In Spain around 40/45 thousand € , its crazy Im going to buy one, 2009, 970 4S, around 145k kms and 35 thousand € ....... but it doesn't looks old , I think its a very good car
Thanks for the video! Very informative. Btw... torque for the M14 brake caliper bolts on the front-wheel is 140 nm. On the M12 rear-wheel caliper bolts it is 85 nm. Greetings from Germany!
Thanks for the video! Can you tell me what size/type sockets you used to remove the caliper bolts, along with any other special tools needed to replace both the front and rear pads and rotors?
Mike I enjoy your videos, I want to do do a brake job on my panamera 2011, v8 4s ,where did you buy the parts from? I want to order them and get start.
Great video! One thing I noticed is that your previous set of brake rotors were on the opposite side of where they should've been. The marks on the slots should face backwards. Your new rotors are installed correctly (handy L and R markings).
I washed the brakes first to remove the loose dust. Then I was using a liquid cleaner. The dust was contained in the liquid solution. No dust was air born as far as I can tell. Thanks for watching and for your concern.
Hey mate. Really beautiful car! In fact actually my dream car and I am informing myself about it because in the near future I think I'm going to pull the trigger on one used. What did you find about the running costs, maintenance costs, thirst of this car, etc...? Possible to compare it to a newer E class or BMW 5 series, or around there? Best regards from Germany
I have the exact same car! Color, everything. I have not seen your interior, but I'm very pleased with mine! I stumbled upon this supplier accidentally. I was hoping these would be the guys that you used to purchase from. And, as you know, not just brakes, but many other components for people that wish to work on their vehicle.
Hello! My question isn't related to front break, but maybe you can give me some advice. I went to a garage and asked them to replace valve cover gasket (Panamera 2010 4S). They said, in order to replace it is needed to remove the engine as the rear bolts are not accessible otherwise. Is it true?
Engine doesn't need to come out. I had the cam bolt recall done which requires the valve covers to come off and they didn't pull the engine. Thanks for watching!
@@mikeshorsepowergarage7577 well I obviously missed that part or you're talking shite , thanks for your useless response anyway. Why not just reply saying which tool it is? I'm assuming you watched it again given the confidence when you say "it was covered in the video".
@@mikeshorsepowergarage7577 thank you, i did Already done the Job. But what about the Parkbreak at the rear, dont we have to calibrate it with a tester?
@@splater591 I didn't need to, I didn't touch any of the parking brake components when changing the rear brakes. I left the parking brake off before the disassembly which allowed me to remove the rear rotor. Everything worked fine after reassembly.

Awesome video brother. I just changed the front brakes on my 2020 Panamera. Thanks a lot! God Bless!

pretty thorough diy, thanks

Porsche has changed the bolt heads a couple times. Thanks for Watching!

The Panamera is Porsche solid product … and the 970 and 971 opened the gen with pretty good engines and specs. 20:20
Just got one 10/2014 ( 2015 ) diesel around 100k miles

Thank you how what sockets are you using to get the bolts off to remove caliper front & rear
Get the factory pins that you screw in and pull they calipers out onto. They’re not expensive & make the job soooo much easier 😊👍🏻
Thanks. I didn't know there was such a thing.
Great video on brake maintenance for the Panamera. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work, appreciate you, your time and effort.

Great content... planing to buy panamera, and your videos will help me cut the maintenance cost.... thanks! Keep it up!
Thanks for watching and for the subscription!
Very helpful videos . With this inflation and labor pricing and shortage I have to learn to do everything myself these days.
thanks for the video. I have a 2011 S, love the car, not so much when I have to go to a mechanic (I say porsche and they say twice as much)
You should keep this movement going and buy the next generation. 2017 and higher I enjoy these videos
2011,front right side waabows at 60 miles per hour??brakes???
Great work Mike!
Hi your video was very good but I’m a little worrying to see that your not wearing a face mask when cleaning the brake dust from the brake discs
I washed the brakes first to remove the loose dust. Then I was using a liquid cleaner. The dust was contained in the liquid solution. No dust was air born as far as I can tell. Thanks for watching and for your concern.

Is there a wear sensor for each pad or just per caliper?
Each pad

Love the exhaust sound! Just bought a 2012 4S and the exhaust sound is unimpressive. Mike, what did you do to get that exhaust note?
Removed stock mufflers and had Magna Flow's put in. Thanks for Watching!
Which Magnaflow did you go with? Quiet at cruising sooed?
Is it the same procedure to replce the carbon ceramic brakes
I would think it's the same procedure. The brakes should attach relatively the same way.
are bare feet necessary when replacing brake discs? :-) Great vid! thanks for sharing
Not a requirement. Just more comfortable for me when working on the ground.😉

Where did you order brakes from
www.autohausaz.com
Can you mention the reference of the brakes you are using ? And the cheap junk one ?
I bought Sebro brand brakes from www. autohausaz.com. The cheap brakes I was using were from Q1 concepts. Thanks for watching!

Outstanding video, what type of exhaust system do you have ? Sounds pretty good..
Stock exhaust with Magna Flow mufflers. Thanks for Watching!
Could I buy different brand rotors and break pads and still be able to replace them? I plan on buying brembo rotors and textar brake pads
As long as that rotors are designed to fit the hub.
Rag Baseball classic tee ? Lol
Great video but buy a proper caliper separator/compressor.
Definitely would have made it easier with the Six Piston Calipers
Rwd drivetrain mr?
Yes, RWD. Thanks for Watching!
