thank you, first youtube video I've found that shows a rebuild on the Honda TRAC fork system! Nice work! Were you able to find a rebuild kit for the TRAC parts?
Thankyou so much for going to the trouble of making these videos. Iam challenging myself to my first ever total (everything is corroded or seized or both ) rebuild of a bike and it is a CX650ED. I am in Ireland and the weather and previous owners have not been kind to this girl. Your videos have been more than extremely helpful. I would like to know why you added the white pvc tube in above the springs ? I only have a cx500 manual to guide me on specs. Did you note the relaxed length of the springs? Mine are 538mm each.
Thanks for kind words robert. If you go to cx500forum.com, in the technical section you will find links to manuals for cx500e and a separate addendum to 650e. The manual however gives an incorrect spring free length. Mine were same as yours. On these forks, air pressure provides the pre-load. I substituted around 25mm of pressure PVC pipe instead of air. Length depends on rider weight. It is a challenge to get the caps back on. Best of luck with build.
Buona sera posso chiedere dove trovo i due gommini che evidenzia al Minuto 9,50secondi del suo video? Non riesco a reperirli da nessuna parte. Grazie Good evening, can I ask where I find the two rubbers that highlights the minute 9.50seconds of your video? I can't find them anywhere. Thanks
