I think you’re amazing. I was actually one of those “pandemic followers” who started practicing painting furniture as I was cleaning out my mom’s house. She had passed just days before the lockdown. As an ordained minister of the Gospel for over 40 years, I say you are clothed with a 'faith' that is in plain view for all to see. My dear sister in Christ, this is just the beginning! 1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV: 9 "However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”[a]-the things God has prepared for those who love him-". Thank you for that. Usually I am turned off by anyone who brings their faith into their videos, but there was just something different about this...heartfelt & real. You did a fabulous job, you're a natural whether you think so or not.
I run two YT channels, Simply Relaxed Videos & The Prayer Chain and have been trying to grow them. I thought it would be so easy (listened to too many gurus, I think) - I love content creation (and learning all the skills that go with it), but have been getting a little less traction than I would like. I was hit with tragedy and death all through 2023, but instead of stopping, I just plowed on through. I hope to be able to keep my head down and focus in 2024 and still have time to work on my other ventures (Etsy and my own website) - but it is soooo much. I keep hearing in the back of my head "that next video (or design) will be the one that takes off, so keep going." Not seeing results is hard - but in 2024 - I am trying to look past the numbers and keep doping what I love, praying it will pay off in the future.
Why would you be turned off by anyone bringing their faith out? Remember the song "This little light of mine?" We are to let the light of Jesus shine not cover it up and we are to share it with others.
Mostly because not everyone shares the same faith. Especially when it becomes preachy or judgmental.
I agree with you. Religion was forced on me as a kid and I grew up resenting it. Everyone has their own belief system and I don't need someone else's forced on me. This video did none of that, it was just her story & perspective.

Thank you doesn’t seem to say exactly how your video touched me. I’ve feared failure my entire life after being trained to worry about what others think, worry about how I spoke, how I acted, how I looked, it’s important to put on the appearance you’ve got it all together and come from a perfect home. If I want to try something new but don’t know what others will think I won’t even try for fear I’ll fail then I’ll really know what they think. This was truly a blessing to stumble across your video this morning while at the gym on a treadmill fearing I might not succeed at getting all this weight off and if I don’t I’ll let others down with my failure. But what if I succeed……will God use me to then be able to encourage another? You’ve given me a lot to think on. ❤

A friend told me to watch this. I have a book to publish about how to get rid of spiritual entities and I am afraid of both disinterest from others and kickback from trolls. I do not want to be in the public eye at all. You reminded me that this did not come from me but from God, so get to it and see what happens.

Christina! That was marvelous! It was definitely strange to hear MTSU on an online platform because I've worked there for the past 11 years. Lol But don't you just love when you know it was exactly right; terrifying, but right. When you're nervous energy stills, and you may end your speech not knowing anything you just said, but you're positive it was there ministering to someone, even just one someone, it makes everything worth it!! Keep speaking, and I know God will keep ministering. Thank you for your word. I'm kind of on the other end of the spectrum where I feel something in the ether, but it hasn't revealed itself yet. I pray I have the bravery to obey when it happens. May you continue to be blessed.

That was a beautiful message. Yes, I also have faced my greatest fear, of something happening to one of my kids..Two years I had to face the loss of my 33 yr-old daughter, suddenly without any warning. she passed due to injuries from a car wreck...I have no fear anymore, but I DO HAVE GUILT AND REGRET AND GRIEF.

That is when I found you in 2020!! You were the first furniture flipper I studied and still favorite. You flip a little side table with gel stain still my favorite because it was what inspired me to start refinishing furniture!! I never really thought of it before but after hearing your message I wonder if fear is the devils way of keeping someone in a little box? Fear of putting yourself out there and making a success of yourself? No problem, fear will set in and keep you stagnant. Don’t grow, stay fearful and don’t share your light. God’s there to show you that you, we, all have a gift to share. The devil spreads fear. God spreads light and hope.
When there’s light and hope, God wins. ❤

Wow thank you so much for this video! Your speech really touched me and made me think about my life and where I am currently. I just retired after 30 years of employment. God has been putting it in my heart to use my gifts and talents to bless others. I enjoy DIY everything and refurbishing furniture but have feared moving forward. I desperately need your expertise! Over the last couple of years, I have had such a desire to give my bedroom furniture a facelift. I’d describe the pieces as extremely ORNATE and dark in color. Before painting with Beyond Paint, I would like to simplify the pieces and consider filling in a lot of the busy detailing. Unfortunately I’m unsure what is the correct product to use: Do I use a wood filler or a Bondo type product? Wishing you continued success! Thank you
Bondo would be your best bet if you have a good orbital sander. If not, regular wood filler would work (I like DAP plastic wood) just might have to do multiple fillings and there will be a longer fill time. I have been watching your videos for the last few years and love them because you really have a way of energizing someone to be creative. When I saw your speech and you started talking about god, that really turned me off. I was so disappointed.
