After Reckful I am making a conscious effort to not hate on other people. Not that I hated on Reckful but it's so easy to effect others with your words and make their situation harder to deal with and I don't want to be a part of that ever again. I mean look how fast it breaks down, within 5 minutes of talking about their life they are already crying. People hurt so much and many have nobody to talk to about any of this which is why these Dr K chats are such a good idea.
@@kashunahar4643 it messed up a lot of people, you are not alone. Please remember, there is always purpose in living, even though we might not see it now or have found it yet.
Same here, I never really realized how I always separate people mentally to good and bad and kept them there. People can change, anyone would feel like shit if they had their stupid mistakes held against them forever.
I used to hate her for the things she's done to her cat, stupid and silly things that does not justify the need for this amount of hate... After watching this video, I am truly humbled to my knees and I now understand that she is just another human being, trying to live her life. How could I become this way? To allow this superficial barrier to blind me and turn myself into this vessel of hatred. Thanks for enlightening me Dr. K, we truly don't know the extent of an individual from just the things we gleam off of their online persona.
If you are for real then what you've written here is a big deal. Most people will do mental gymnastics, deflect or pretend they did nothing when they see they've done something wrong. But you didn't and accept the mistake. That's very admirable. This type of hateful mentality is pretty easy to get into so I don't think you're a "bad" person for taking part, though I would if you continued after watching this interview. So kudos to you.
I haven't interacted with her content or community very much, but I remember hearing about all of this stuff, and it definitely gave me a bad impression of her. Of course she has messed up, but she doesn't deserve the insane way the internet attacks people. Don't get me wrong, I still don't really like her, but the amount of hate she has gotten is fucked up. I think a lot of it comes from the fact that she's a pretty girl on the internet, and people are jealous of her in a lot of ways. There's also some sexism in there since people really like to imply that she slept with people to get where she is. It's really sad and messed up, and I do feel bad for her. I really hope the internet community improves in their attitude towards people over the next few years.
I'm in medical school and the stuff he says is basic knowledge any medical student knows. I don't see how hes praised as some hero, the guy just listens to people talk.
@@jasonbronson963 He's praised as some hero because there is shortage of people listening to other people, and even though what he does is very basic, not everyone need therapies to recover from child abuse or a trumatic orphanage experience. Sometimes it's the little things and little words that bring the most and best out of people. Especially in a non social sphere that is streaming/content creation.
I think Dr K was the best thing thats ever happened to the internet, he shows how flaming and toxicity actually affects people by talking to victims of things like cyber bullying basically saying that its a serious problem and we can see that in alinity. Thank you very much, Dr K :)
I first heard about her because of Pewdiepie drama and like everybody i didn't like her. Then I've seen all the drama videos but didn't care because why would I? But when a few days ago I've seen a clip of her crying on stream and talking about people not letting her move from her past I felt really sorry for her. We're all lucky to have dr. K on twitch because in the last few weeks I've seen many streamers open up about their feelings and maybe that will help people understand that streamers are human too. I hope Alinity gets the peace she deserves.
that's the spirit! we are all human and even people that f up a lot still deserve base compassion and forgiveness. I hope she wil get to continue without all of it hanging over her all the time and just improves and learns.
When you manipulate once, you manipulate twice and more. And then people don't know if that's what yoou are doing any more or not. I guess you don't know that she married a husband to get Canadian visa and divorced him after getting it.

I love how Dr K says the hate she's getting should be for someone who committed genocide yet people in the comment section still trying to defend the hate they are giving and completely missing the point of how unrational their thinking is.
@Ronnyqt I mean I assume part of is, they don't want to believe they are wrong because then they'd have to live with the guilt that they have been a truly vile person
@Ronnyqt There isn't a broad solution to this, sad thing is she has to put up with this for a while. On the other hand she had biased stories and I never felt that she was here to improve as a person but rather defend her image which isn't the purpose of conversations with Dr. K, I think it took 1 hour and 18 minutes until she opened up a bit, but even then she fell into the same path of defending her image after some time. I don't hold any grudge of some sort towards her, I think she deserves forgiveness. I think Pokimane was a great example of how you should treat a similar situation like this, she was there to talk about herself and her troubles, not internet trolls, cause really, what the f can Dr. K actually do about her getting hate.
@Ronnyqt it's the internet man. I'm not saying it's okay, but if you're gonna ride a storm as wild as the internet and use it to fuel some sort of financial or emotional success, then it's just part of the game. So I think people just need to understand that they have to take a step back emotionally from the things they encounter virtually, whether it's on social media or streaming. It's been said before, the way some people act on here, most of the people would not say half of the shit or do half of the shit they do in real life, to normal people or to the internet celebrities if they see them. I think while it's important to understand we're all human beings in and out of the internet, it's necessary for your well-being, to have a personal disconnection with many of the things you find online. Some people aren't built that way and that's ok, but it's what needs to happen
Well she keeps denying and embellishing. I think that's why people don't cut her slack. And let's be frank, she should've been deplatformed long ago, twitch is kinda throwing her under the bus in my opinion. If people get deplatformed for cheating or touching someone inappropriately because they don't wanna be associated with that... I believe animal abuse(meh in her case), marriage fraud and a history of breaking ToS should've done it... But it didn't, and I think thats the core of the hate. I strongly believe Twitch handled her case so fucking poorly and they are partly to blame for her harassment, if she had gotten even the 24 hours or 48 hours ban she deserved on the spot, I doubt people would still be on her case today.
First, did you watch this video? At around 30-35 minutes, she talked about the marriage and pewdiepie things. Second, do you think twitch releasing a statement would change anything?
Imagine being subbed to a channel that advocates empathy and forgiveness among many other positive things, but still insta-disliking this video and spreading hate in the comments because :-| GUEST BAD :-| WeirdChamp
It's because Alinity doesn't actually admit to any of the things she's actually done wrong, she makes excuses and blames other people. She's not looking for empathy or forgiveness. She's just looking for another way to lie and cover up what she's done to the world. At best she says "okay, I've done some things wrong", but doesn't say what those things actually are and she doesn't own up to them, she makes up lies and excuses around things. Why would we have empathy for people like this? Are you really so gullible to believe what she's saying because she fake cries? She said she's 32 and won't be changing as a person. Even Dr K said he wasn't sure how he was supposed to help her, he said she already does yoga and meditation and is self reflective and secure as a person that loves herself. She just came on so people would pity her and to gain more attention and to cover up with lies and make excuses for things she's done. She also says that it's a control thing that she's most upset about, that she can't control the narrative. These are her own words. She doesn't care about the things she's done, just that she can't control what people say about those things.
@@bgill7475 it's not like she owes us the truth tho. We are just viewers looking for entertainment. If anything we contributed to her current dilemma but in the same way, we dont owe her an apology. nico alcover She’s done so much shit that saying most of what she did doesn’t mean much. Actions speak louder than words and at the bare minimum of the shit that she’s done she should’ve been banned/suspended on twitch NUMEROUS times. What most people don’t understand is that twitch used to be a safe haven for a lot of people. Streamers like alinity have “ruined” the platform for them. There hate is justified to an extent, just like her suffering.
Manamune anada on most of the stuff she did I feel like it was definitely twitch’s fault, but she has to do her part as well to abide by the rules everyone else follows
@@adc4836 That's the issue "it was definitely twitch's fault" fuck twitch. It's sad how just a few days ago everyone was committing to take people's mental health more seriously but no one is willing to let Alinity move on from her past. She's apologized and I hope she genuinely understands what she did was wrong, but you can't just write off someone as an "evil" person that doesn't exist if you give them a chance/environment to prove themselves.
There is a certain threshold of major 'fuck-ups' people can tolerate and accept the change before it becomes too much. Alinity did not just act like a complete pos once. Nor twice, nor trice etc. etc., I can remember 6 such occasions just from the top of my head and the actual figure is somewhere in the double digits. Plus, I have near zero trust for people who start a discussion with "I am probably going to cry", it is a blatant appeal to emotions that gets abused way too often nowadays. She'd have to go through some miracle level redemption arc for people to forgive her and frankly I don't expect her to put this much effort into it. If it actually happens, I'll be more than happy to eat my words, but until then I'll remain VERY skeptical like, I would imagine, a majority of people.
Atom Knight That’s the thing “it” isn’t just one thing it’s multiple things she’s done. Simply put I agree with the whole worse thing to happen to twitch shit. She breaks so many rules and it doesn’t matter. She is the type of person that should not be on twitch and deal with internet culture. If she wants to better herself she just needs to disappear from the internet for awhile. Come back when she’s fully confident in herself. Trying to improve yourself while having constant negativity in your face isn’t ideal.
Yep, at some point you have to allow people room to grow and change, even if you don't like them or ever forgive them for it. Everyone has made mistakes that they regret, we're all human in the end
I never really liked Alinity, but i didn't type anything hateful to her. But hearing, that people threaten and send hate to her daily is disgusting. Can't imagine what shes going through. Hope she won't end up like Byron did :(
yeah i felt like Dr.K mustve gotten really scared and felt a lot of pressure, but his sociopathy thing really helped him pull through this i think. Id almost feel responsible for what happened if I was in Dr.K's shoes which would make me feel scared of not doing good enough for Alinity too... god.. dark stuff..
iLike Samanas If internet culture is so toxic that people are regularly told to kill themselves, shouldn’t we focus on changing that rather than exiling everyone who can’t handle that sort of abuse?
I literally heard a guy on a podcast talk about how he's been harassing her for years and when asked what she did, he couldnt name anything but the nip slip and throwing a cat. He went on to say he's never watched her stream... People are fucked.
@Ghojirah Beats Yeah i've been realizing. Now I just have 5 or 6 sources of people who i know never do that and i dismiss almost any opinion until i hear one of them talk about it or look it up myself because i know its based in real life and not just off what they heard or were made to believe lol
@Susuya Juuzou How is, her changing, supposed to look like? Is your definition of change the proper way for people to change for the better? Everyone has their own opinion about what she should do to redeem herself. Do you really think she can cater to every single one of those people? I can understand that people are upset because of what she did, but everytime she says sorry or express redemption, some guy goes "she might lie, though." and invalidates anything, because it's easier to be speculative.
@Hien Pham Shw downplayed every single one of the problems. Watch Pewdiepie copystrike video. Are people supposed to believe, that something like that was for fun? There were no problem to admit, that she was pissed off and went too far, but yet she didnt do it.
I have to admit, this video changed my mind about a lot in the internet. You always superficially hear how hurtful hate is on the internet, but you never truly understand it. Hearing Alinity talk in depth about how shitty some people on the internet can be and how it has truly affected her, makes me really comprehend the mental effects of hate on the internet. It also makes me wonder- how do people have the time to hate so much? And what makes them do that? It seems like you need to have a serious incentive to wake up everyday and send hate to UA-camrs. Those people need some help. Understanding these things makes me understand the responsibility we have as a community on the internet and the real affect we can have on the people we watch. I personally never liked Alinity and still think she could do some things differently (mostly because of the Pewdipie thing), but this was helpful in humanizing her and showing that also she deserves empathy. Don't hate, it's a shitty fucking thing to do, and it can cause a lot of harm. Even people you don't like deserve empathy, leave hate for evil people.
I never liked Alinity, or I would even say I hate her, cuz i really dislike ppl who always self-victimise and shifting blame. But I never have the energy and time to attack her everywhere she went. Just let her be, just don't watch her tht's the best u can do to wipe her out of existence in ur own world. People always thinks that they need to do the world a favour by attacking someone who doesnt deserve their fame. Tht's just naive and self-obsessive, and in most of the time people just want to take pleasure from standing at the moral highground instead of “justing the wrong”. We shouldn't be thinking how to change others or how to change our society and environment before we manage ourselves good enough. We should focus on ourselves and improve our capability so that we can solve the problem properly instead of shouting attacking and hating mindlessly. For example, if you think many twitch streamer or youtuber are toxic and doesn't deserve their fame and our younger generation shudnt be watching them, and to fix this is ur main concern and ur main goal, perhaps you can become a teacher, a mentor, a tutor, like Jordan Peterson or like Dr.K. Lecture the audience u think are mindlessly idolizing ppl they shudnt, or help the toxic streamer or youtuber to fix their problem. This, will fix the problem, not hating and abusing ppl. In chinese we have a saying that goes “严以律己,宽以待人”, which means be strict to yourself, and be forgiving to other. You hv to upheld urself to the moral u use to judge ppl, and forgive ppl for u may not know them well enuf. Sorry for my poor english, I am still learning.
I was in the same position as you but now im like she really didnt do much. In my opinion pewdiepie really fucked the situation up he has a giagantic following and lets be honest even if he didnt mean for this hate to follow alinity it was inevitable. Kinda irresponsible for felix. Also im a bro been watching him for a long long time so id understand if you felt like im attacking felix. I was the same.
Its just people with no lifes. Like someone above me said, just dont watch. There are thousands of other streamers to watch. These people have her living rent free in their head.
Fr bro it’s okay to dislike people but to actually send hate??? Who goes out of there way to ruin someone else’s day. I don’t think I realized just how bad Alinity had it.
I learned so much watching DR K's videos. You are our hero Sir. Finally someone who tries to understand the struggle that us youngs are passing through.
I would like to add a lot of things: Alinity has done a lot in the past, and I think one of the reasons people hate her is because there was no justice served. In my opinion, twitch has a major part in the reason why she gets a lot of hate. For example, the N word incident. She blatantly says the N word, and there is no punishment. Twitch just decides to do nothing and let her continue to stream, and comparing her to other streamers, they would get banned instantly. For example, when Tfue said the c word, referring to the raccoon, not black people, he was banned. Alinity in the other hand, despite saying the N word referring to black people, gets no ban. Twitch is very strict in their rules, if a streamer messes up, they are banned, so why is Alinity not? In the minds of the public, they see that as unfair and it paints Alinity as the bad guy. Also, when she threw her cat. People saw it as her abusing her cat. They think twitch will do something about it, they do nothing. They let her continue streaming. This is a pattern that happens over and over, where the people want justice, but twitch refuses to follow their own rules. Finally, when the nip slip happened, twitch at first, did nothing, it took Alinity herself to get herself banned. Meanwhile, if it was another streamer who did a nip slip, twitch would have banned them immediately. Again, why does she not even get a slap on her wrist? When Alinity said she will get herself banned, and she did, it would mean the hate stops, right? Well, no. Twitch themselves did not punish her because she did something wrong, it was because she asked for it. If they are so strict with the rules and always force them on other streamers, why does Alinity keep getting out without a penalty even. It took herself to get banned, twitch did not take any action. The punishment she got felt unfair. I'm not saying the hate sh gets is what she deserves, but rather, twitch should have done something from the beginning. If they punished her for saying the N word on stream, maybe banning her for a period of time, or something along those lines, the people would have been more willing to forgive Alinity. If you look at it, it is twitch's fault to begin with, why she gets so much hate. All they had to do was punish her the same way they do to other streamers and not give her any benefits. She needs to learn the actions of her consequences, and just hating on her for what she did, will not help anyone. Sorry for long post, just giving my thoughts. And didn't double check this, so if there is any grammar mistakes, I can't be bothered since I'm too lazy to double check.
So what you are describing is that Twitch is at fault here, but Alinity is receiving hate for it. The community has taken it upon themselves to punish her. But they continue to support Twitch. Seems extremely hypocritical. On a further note, I can easily imagine that many of the people who take time from their lives to leave hateful comments have to indeed have something wrong with their mental state AND their morality. As in -- I might judge someone to make myself (to myself) seem innocent, to cover up my own faults, because if I can judge someone then I must be without fault (an obvious misconception).
Twitch also receives alot of hate actually. The people aren't blind to how horrible they are as a company, how biased they are with their policies, how they ban streamers instantly. Twitch is horrible and people are not hypocrites because they too get hate but get away with it.
It’s sad the amount of unlimited hate she gets from one incident she apologized for, proved that she changed and wants to keep growing and still gets people not only hating her on past mistakes already either proven false but also just a mistake atoned for long ago but wishing her to die and stuff....online toxicity needs to be addressed and fixed, people on the internet are so confident on being shielded behind their screens that they will literally send you death threats and shit cuz they know you can’t do anything about it or see them physically....But I can bet you that 90% of those people wouldn’t do so face to face to those people.....Did Alinity deserve some sort of backlash on those incidents?! Absolutely, not at that amplified growth...she atoned for them already and changed, and yet people still bully her for it cuz they rather would trust a twitch streamer or a chat dude that got no proofs what so ever to overall deny the fact that all the rumours were checked by authorities and else or mistakes were apologized for and she changed to be better.....to hate someone so much to bully them to the point were they don’t just think about suicide but actually planned out how and where to do it or legit do it, that is beyond having lost all humanity within your being.....I’m talking from a similar point of view...I’ve also tried to kill myself twice within the same year after being fed up of trying to stop being bullied by changing the way I approach things and such, as such to even lose myself and become someone I am not for years....I have been bullied for over 10 years straight, 4 days a week beaten up and no help cuz everyone broke me to a point that at some point I couldn’t even let out my emotions and looked like I was fine.....when someone even thinks about suicide after doing everything they can to change and atone but still people don’t giving a shit about it so you tell yourself that dying is the only way out or becoming someone else, it’s not a problem within this individual anymore, it’s a problem of the ones that makes that person lose their mind and telling themselves that they don’t deserve to even be alive because their life is shit because of assholes being toxic on them....those people just can’t put themselves in other people’s shoes, they are so blinded by rage and being toxic to feel superior and impactful that they decide to spend energy and time destroying lives for their own enjoyments (that is fucking selfish as fuck btw) instead of doing productive shit and actually being human beings, most of those people either never lived shit in their lives so they just don’t know how bad their things hurt the other or just don’t care or they just have such a shitty meaningless life that to feel the need to tear ppl down to feel good about themselves....I can see the pain in her eyes, that she feels as I felt it for many many years too from being beaten up all the time and that makes my heart break so bad (well, what lil bits are left of it from all that breaking people did to it)
It's really easy to shape someone's opinion on someone when you only see negative things about them. People should do more research before they attack people. Alinity isn't a bad person, just made some bad choices and learned from them.
Her side of the story wasn't really worth hearing because she lied about a lot of things to not seem (or to not make her ACTIONS at least) as bad as they really are, and Dr K noticed this because he probably did research on her controversies beforehand and literally said "I don't know how to help you." because he knew she was lying.

The company has absolutely no transparency or consistency when it comes to their rules and as a result, millions of viewers take it upon themselves to "dispense justice" because they believe Twitch isn't doing anything. Twitch is just sitting there raking in money from this massive system of online bullying.
I just don't get why anybody cares so much. If I think a streamer is a shitty person, I just don't watch. @@sully6261 So I just watched those clips for the first time, and it's utter lunacy to call either one abuse. She doesn't throw her cat, she picks it up and drops it over the back of her chair. And giving her cat a tiny bit of alcohol was probably something it didn't enjoy, but it's clearly not even remotely close to enough to do any actual harm to the cat. I didn't even know it was harmful to them. I've met people who give their pets alcohol, and I've met people who hot box with their pets to get them high. And there's another clip I found, where her cat bites her, and it hurts a lot. If she were an abuser, her immediate reaction would be to hit the cat, but instead she just curls up in pain and laughs it off. Plus, the cat just sits there, rubbing its cheeks on her armrest and looking in her direction. This is what cats do when they want attention. It makes zero sense for an abused animal to attack its abuser, then look for attention immediately after. But even interpreting everything the worst way possible, and pretending she abuses her cat, why harass her about it? Giving her more attention is only going to make her more money, which will encourage her to do more of this kind of thing. If you think she's broken a law, report her. It's one thing to be forgiving, but I think the main issue is the prolonging of hatred and aggressive behavior, purely for the sake of memeing basically. She should be banned from twitch though. if a man did what she did in the past, he would be...Not everybody wants to live in a world were women can do anything with no consequence
a lot of the hate is from shit she did. abusing copyright laws, scumbag business policies, possible marriage fraud, animal abuse dating back years. that's stuff SHE DID BY HERSELF.
They are services which can send a certain message after every post on twitter and stuff like that. You still need some irrational hatred toward someone but it is possible with little time investment.
@@XFR18 False. Incessantly hating on someone like people do to her is DEFINITELY a sign of some serious issues. No mentally stable/content person tells someone else to kill themselves, and there's no room for debate on that. Does she deserve criticism for the bad things she does when she does them? Yes. However, when people devote their entire online presence to hating people and ceaselessly bring up their past mistakes, those people undeniably have their own issues and are certainly not "normal" in that regard.
Some sociopaths need to hate-stalk to make themselves feel superior because their ego is so weak they can’t admit they hate themselves and need to put in actual effort to improve, so they take the lazy, easy, undisciplined path
I think in her case she did some messed up stuff and was never punished for it really, and it can be infuriating when a streamer you like shows an accidental glimpse of a butt or something minor and gets banned while someone like her can make racial slurs and abuse her pet and she gets a slap on the wrist at best. Even now there is a purge of people who have made racial slurs or done blackface years ago and yet she pretty much walks away 100% scott free. She's incredibly privileged for reasons unknown aside from being a pretty white girl.
@@XFR18 if you don't see anything wrong with stalking someone and sending hate you have issues. If you do this in real life and cause someone to die you can be liable legally. If you stalk me I can file police restraining order. Just because it is on the internet doesn't mean this is okay. The law just didn't caught up to it. Don't even try to normalize this behavior. If you hate twitch for not banning her hate twitch. I don't even like her tbh and i will never watch her, the end move on. Giving her traffic and attention is only helping the view count.
Turns out if you watch Alinity longer than the 20 second clips , you actually get some context. I actually really enjoyed this video. It's always funny watching Dr. K discover all these memes & things in the moment.
I love the work you are doing DR. K, you are definitively filling a need for mental health right now. Not just for twitch streamers, but for alot of people globally. I myself found you through youtube and saw that you interviewed streamers, so i ended up watching alot of the interviews. There were some i could indentify myself with wich has helped me realise or rethink how i live or deal with problems i encounter. Thank you :)
Too many people say the wildest things to people online they would never tell someone in person. Too much hate from people when they themselves aren’t perfect
R M we aren’t excusing the behavior, we simply think its best to move on. Everytime Alinity is mentioned its Cat, Vodka, Marriage, on repeat. That doesn’t help anyone. The cats are still alive, she probably learn now, perpetuating the hate doesn’t help anyone and causing more harm. Its so stupid.
I’m really glad she went to Dr. K, everyone who reports on her always makes it out to seem like she hasn’t learned or grown as a person. Glad to know that’s not the case to some extent and that she’s a good person when it comes down to it. I hope the hate she receives dies down a little in the future.
@@D_Jilla Yes. She intentionally downplayed everything that happened. Watch any of those clips and compare her account. For example she clearly THREW that cat, not trying to set it on her chair. She also clearly LAUGHED at her cat hating the vodka, where she downplayed it to Dr. K. It's hard to have a redemption ark when you refuse to be honest about what you are re-deeming.
It's honestly very saddening hearing all the stuff she has to go through every day, no person has to deal with this amount of harassment and bullying daily. This just proves a lot of people still haven't learnt a single thing since a year ago from Etika, they also accused him of faking it all and they sent him clown emojis and made fun of him. I can't help but feel that if people sent him love and support instead of clown emojis maybe things could have turned out differently. We shouldn't let this happen again.
Oh 100% he would still be here. People baiting his manic episodes and egging them on constantly were a large factor of his downward spiral. If you're manic and getting nothing but reinforcement to your delusions of grandeur, you're gunna keep spiraling.
yes. it's so sad how people feel that entilted to judge someone and think they have the right to decide what should happen to someone's life. If they had eyes, they would see they are worse than the people they hate on.
Coffee Latte if you create content for the public you are willingly allowing critique or hate to be directed to it, it’s a choice if you are being affected to the point of heavy suffering YOU NEED TO TAKE A BREAK
@Thatshow ED this is the first time she's ever reached this far to get better though, I'm not saying her past is excusable but I am saying it's important to forgive and forget, perpetuating the same hate over and over and over doesn't get anybody anywhere, this girl is clearly broken down and depressed and to kick keep kicking her while she's down I think is the lowest thing you can do, she clearly needs time to reflect and think and the constant barrage of hate she gets probably makes that impossible, nobody should feel guilty for something they did for their entire life unless they've literally killed/raped someone
"trying to get better"...so she said on this video her cat licked her after drinking vodka BUT I watched the actual clip and what really happened, she was the one who initiated the kiss on her cat. Tiny detail but If she can tell a small lie, she can tell a big lie. She could've just be 100% honest so it will be easier for people to forgive her but she still tries to justify or mitigate her actions. Maybe she's trying to be better this year but her old behavior is still here.
@Thatshow ED I swear to God, people like you just think every "influencer" lives like a fucking actor, faking literally every emotion they show on every kind of media. Like, seriously, she really did some bad stuff, but what good does beating this dead horse gonna do now? Don't you realise the people behind the screens are human beings just as flawed as you and me? Or is your vision of the world too black and white? It's honestly not that hard to not make someone go through depression intentionally, just letting go of her past mistakes so that she can try getting better as person.
I think what Alinity doesn’t realise is that the hate is only happening because she won’t own up to her mistakes. People didn’t care that she copyright striked Pewdiepie’s video. What people really got annoyed about was her pushing the blame onto someone else and victimising herself to make her look good and Pewdiepie look bad. Even now after all time she still doesn’t understand that all the hate will go away if she made a genuine apology where she said what she did and promised to be a better person. Trust me that is all it takes. People have been forgiven for much worse crimes, but they have to prove that they’ve changed.
You're a gift to this platform and honestly are probably the best chance we have to stop these streamers from dropping like flies. They deserve better, and Twitch chat deserves to be happier with their lives. Let's make this platform a better place to work and a better place to enjoy our time together as a community!
Thank you again for doing these interviews Dr. K. and thank you for being so transparent and brave Alinity. It's sharing this kind of information and exposing your weaknesses and fears to the world that allows us to see ourselves and our actions for what they really are. In the wake of Reckful's death and the steady growing sense of consciousness in the Twitch community and beyond, I feel like a large, positive changes are looming. At least I hope.
It changes nothing. This side is what everyone has been saying all along, that she's fake. She legit lied about her controversies to Dr K and changed the story multiple times. You can't help someone who isn't honest and you certainly can't help someone who doesn't want to change, that's why Dr K said "I don't know how to help you." Because she's demonstrated throughout this interview that she doesn't really want to change. It makes you wonder why she even wanted to be in this interview besides trying to clear her name, maybe.
@@LethalByChoice even if she lied and was fake (which I don't think she was), not even murderers get 1% of the hate she gets. just think about that for a moment
@@RedLoopster Why does that even matter? I’m pretty sure murderers get death threats too. She’s a vile person through and through and I’m surprised that a psychologist like Dr.K didn’t pick up on her narcissism.
When dr. k ask her "what are you deserve" i legit thought she going to say forgiveness. But she really surprised me when she said 'peace'. A genuine human answer.
I can definetely say that the hate she got was one of the biggest blind bandwagons ever. I feel so bad for not giving it a second thought. She absolutely is right about the fact that we were not hating on her, but an idea of her.
Such an amazing stream, I’m so glad she was so open. I totally didn’t like her at the time, never hating her just kinda ignoring everything but after that stream I really made me love her!
ShadowLight747 I’m fucking married lmao it’s not like I’m gonna be hopping on and watching her streams and fantasizing about her or anything. I’m relating to her and sympathizing because I’m a human with emotions and empathy.
I don't think I can sit thought this one... I simply find Alinity to be a unlikable person personally, however I would never go out of my way to try and hate on her if I don't like someone I simply ignore their existence and move on with my life, sadly many people on the internet don't know how to do that their lifes are so sad and empty that the only way for them to feel something is to try to put someone else down on the other side on the screen but would NEVER have the nerve to do so in person... I completely think she doesn't deserve the kinda hate she gets online, I don't think anyone that hasn't committed some type of heinous crime does.
That's a valid and healthy way to deal with disliking someone, just ignoring could work if done in a large number cause she would not have income and stop making streams BUT i seriously doubt that everyone would be ok with just letting her go withouth talking shit. I really dislike her but i don't throw hat at her cause it's too much effort wasted (Ido not think bad of people who treat her badly cause even when she's talking to Dr K she seems fake). I would really like more people to act as you do and just avoid her :') better results than just hopping she kills herself or goes away solely based on mean comments
You're one of the most reasonable and wisest people in this comment section with how you're dealing with this. I wish more people were like you. So much freakin' energy and time wasted and for what.. hate.
Honestly I'd recommend it mate, I've never paid much attention to Alinity except for the drama I see her in. I'll admit I wasn't much of a fan of her and I fell into the trap of believing she's a terrible person although I never actively sent hate to her but after watching this not only is there a lot of useful information in this but it also shows a side to Alinity that I can't help but feel bad for and honestly, at the bottom of it all I think she's quite a nice person who has just made a couple mistakes like we all have. TL;DR watch it man hahaha
She confessed to having committed a crime on camera, I don't think you know enough XD, the crime she committed was immigration fraud. Still, I don't like people hating just to hate, is just not useful. As for the people demanding justice, I understand them.
@@p-skv i have never watched her streams but she addressed animal abuse in this video. anyway people change. maybe she doesnt do stuff like that anymore?
It depends what the "haters" do. Donald Trump has a lot of haters. Is he supposed to be immune to criticism? People do stupid things and get the bill for it. America is known for the court of public opinion more than any other nation on earth. The things you say and do have consequences and as Dr. K rightfully points out she has done statistically much more shit than the average public figure. And she definitely deserves backlash. But the question is what kind of backlash. The things people say dont come from nowhere. She should have been banned a couple of times more than she actually was. That is without any doubt. And i strongly believe that twitch played a big role in how it ended up with her. They make exceptions for some and then go overly harsh on other streamers... This certainly escalated the situation.
The dr K impact on my life is huge. Thank you very much for the content. Just to add something, I feel like some streamers ask for this interview to defend themselves and not to open up and try to find an answer to their problems. This is not an issue for me because I get the best out of the interview but for the streamer, it is not very effective.
You are right, but it us difficult to change the streamers intention. If they really want help then they will focus on their issues rather than clearing their name. Dr. K is very helpful
I mean, maybe? But also I don’t know how hard it is to be in their position and to open up about intensely personal information knowing it will be on the internet forever, that’s got to be intimidating.
That makes exactly zero sense. If all the hate they're getting is taking a huge mental toll on them, then anything that can lessen that is going to help them. Even if nothing Dr. K says to them helps them directly, he's going to humanize them in our eyes and make it harder to justify harassing them.
Keemstar doesn't believe in mental illness. He is so far gone that he doesn't even regret what he's done. a lot of people on Dr.K's show at least come in with an understanding they want to change but don't know how.
Keemstar is just an all around bad person. Dr K is more about giving mistreated people a voice and making them feel better, and Alinity definitely deserved it
I always felt like the people are projecting their hatred of Twitch towards Alinity. They are angry at Twitch for allowing Alinity to get away with things that normal people would have been banned forever. There is no face for Twitch but there is a face of Alinity to direct your hatred.
her being bipolar put a lot of pieces together for me and explained a lot. I've never been a fan, but death threats? that's just too much...and at this point I think it's clear she's learned-though I could tell in this interview she wasn't being fully transparent, but I wonder if that would've made a difference. I was skeptical before watching this but I see now she is aware that her actions have had a lot of consequences and I agree she's suffered enough. I hope she can find peace.
Whether or not she's actually learned from her bad decisions... is it even worth the time to harass her online? I still find it unfathomable how so many people seem to have nothing productive to do with their time.
It only takes around 30 seconds to harass her. Its not like people are on her twitter page for 3 hours or more. What else is productive in 30 seconds? Grabbing a glass of water?
@@saltygamer8435 Is it not possible to let people know that they made a mistake without harassing them? Does it really take thousands of people telling someone to kill themselves to get them to introspect and change their behavior?
I see people commenting that she is downplaying or not being entirely truthful about things she did, and I get that and I don't disbelieve it, but it seems to me (and I am an outsider to this and never heard of her before watching so grain of salt) that this kind of misses the point. The point is that she has received more than enough punishment for it and people are still not letting up. I guess my question is, at what point, in the eyes of the people who've taken it upon themselves to do the punishing, has she been punished enough? When is it enough that it's time to stop? It seems like the answer is "never," and if that's the case, do you really think that's fair? Think about something bad you did in the past that you regret. If the whole world knew about it and had the power to punish you, do you think it would be fair for them to punish you for the rest of your life no matter how much you tried to be better and how much you moved on since then?
I mean punishment isn't really justice. Assuming she was a horrible animal abuser, people aren't satisfied with her having been punished to the maximum in this kind of emotional turmoil way if they don't think she's actually learned her lesson. The fight to protect the cats might be so strong. They also might not realize any of the hate is actually affecting her at all so they might not think she's been punished at all and that's why they're so angry. That she's fully getting away with all of it with no punishment, maybe.
the clip where she throws her cat doesn't look like she was just trying to set the cat up on her chair. it looks like she genuinely threw the cat. most of the videos where she's harassing her pets show her laughing after the fact, with no remorse. (and there's a disturbing amount of these pet clips.) after the vodka kiss, she simply says "I told you it was vodka." i can see how being drunk, bipolar manic, etc. can all contribute to things like this, but reasons are not valid excuses. these are the only behaviors out of alinity I've ever seen that have upset or disgusted me. they're also the only ones that can't be fixed with a simple apology, but require a complete change in behavior regarding them. alinity, everyone's always going through something, and I feel for you, I really do. but I'm mostly glad that you didn't hide the pet one away, and instead addressed it and made it clear you've learned they're mistakes. thank you for that, and please continue to treat your pets more gently and mindfully.
She was lying left to right in this video. She tried to blame the company that copystrike piediepew. Blame her exhusband for cheating on her (most probably a lie). Etc
Juan Coffaro I do not know much about the situation, but how can you just outright say “most probably a lie”? Do you have background information? Also apparently the company made a statement saying the copyright strike wasn’t by her, so what are you trying to say by “trying to blame the company” when the company itself clears it? What is your evidence in claiming she’s lying left and right?
@@fietspompje259 because they are idiots that WANT to hate her. If there isnt any reason to hate, they will make it up. You can see it in the comment above... @@fietspompje259 Vodka is deadly to cats, even if it's just a bit it can result in death, just saying that's one of the reasons a lot of people hate her
This episode definitely felt more like a platform for her to share her story as Dr. K wasn't able to help as much. Usually I ask myself a ton of questions during these shows but I didn't do it so much this show. But was still good to hear her story and pain. Can't imagine what that's like. Meditation was great at the end! Hopefully, she find whatever she needs to not let the hate permeate her so much. It would truly be interesting if he does get one of her haters on here...
it reminds me of a kid i went to school with, poor guy attracted the hate of everybody, people picked on him for everything and nothing, call him names, at lunch he would sit alone the whole table for himself as people avoided him like he had the plague and people in charge of us would threaten us with forcing us to sit with him at lunch when we were too rowdy. i think they did this because they felt bad for him and wanted people to interact with him. the worst thing with all of this is that he wasn't ugly or anything, just chubby and as far as i know never did anything to deserve that hate. however he would fight back when people picked on him, i guess they liked getting a reaction. i never forgot his name and sometimes wonder what happened to him.
That was basically my experience in elementary/middle school. It was pretty rough, there were other terrible things going on at home but I'm not going to mention anything. Before I moved schools, since the abuse there was too much, there was a new kid and he became the new target for everyone.
I notice that a lot of the "hater" comments on this video follow a common theme: that everyone who doesn't hate Alinity is a "simp" for her. This seems to take two primary forms. On one hand the label "simp" is used as an excuse to dismiss the words of people who are not hating her. The people making this accusation most likely believe that their hate is the rational response to her behavior. As a result, the act of not hating is irrational "simping", which in this case is an irrational defense of an objectified female due to a parasocial fascination with her. This most likely ties in close with the accusation that Alinity sleeps away from all her problems; that she is using her sex appeal in order to muster an army of "white knights" (an older term used to refer to males who defend females in the wrong) that defend her bad behavior. This is not correct, however, as there are reasons to not hate random women online other than to get into her pants. Legitimate reasons include not caring about internet drama, not believing that internet harassment is a good tool for positive change, not believing that her crimes warrant the amount of harassment, and believing that she has suffered enough so she shouldn't be haunted by old things. There might also be an element of projection; the "haters" might feel attracted to her and might have been, in a different life, "simps" for her. They might be using the hate as a sort of coping or control mechanism to distance themselves from and view themselves superior to someone they see as more physically attractive than them. The second use of the label "simp" was that the existence of some "simps" justifies and diminishes the hate. Someone wrote that they have never bullied anyone in their life, yet they hate on Alinity because she wants the hate as it makes her more popular and more wealthy. This is a really interesting take, as it kind of shows a symbiotic relation between the "simps" and the "haters". There also seems to be a sort of contradiction of belief at play. The "haters" want her canceled and ruined, but at the same time they justify their hate as not that bad as it actually makes other people "simp" more for her, making her more money. Do they really want her canceled, if they then turn around and say they are actually doing the opposite? Perhaps the "haters" are failed "simps", or the "simps" are failed "haters"? **reclines in armchair psychology**
although obviously it’s very sad to see the amount of vitriol random people feel compelled to espouse in nearly every single thread in this comment section, i think you touch on a super interesting observation. what exactly drives these people to go out of their way to post such hateful things about her? it’s different than merely disliking or being repulsed by her; typically if you don’t like someone, you would just ignore them and try to remove them from your life. yet you see these people go out of their way to click on a video about her, spend time writing a comment, and interact with something they could’ve very easily just not clicked on in the first place. it’s a parasocial fascination and obsession with someone just like ‘simping’, but on a different end of the spectrum, both sides of which are pretty clearly rooted in a misogynistic obsession with some random woman they truly don’t know anything about on the internet. it’s fascinating, in a really sad way. truly baffling to me.
Huh I think a lot of people just want her to say sorry for throwing her cat and possibly seeking out twitch to give her the suspensions she deserves for committing those actions it doesn’t matter how far back it was
Dr. K is a sage. I don't know who Alinity is, nor have I ever seen any of her streams, and I'm quite glad because I feel this is a much more honest interpretation of her than what is being said.
It's really easy to get caught up in the hate mob but seeing her in this really resonated with me. My sister is bipolar schizoaffective and she does a lot of things in her bad states where if some random person saw her do what she does they would hate her. Thinking of alinity like shes my sister, and it hurts to think about that I've given hate that affects people like Natalia ultra negativity. Stay strong everyone.
the hate needs to be redirected to twitch edit: she shifts the blame a lot though, if she just admitted to it then she would really not deserve the hate
It doesn't matter what I think about the person Dr. K. talks to, after the talk I always like em and relate to a lot. At the end of the day we all are just humans
I think the comparison with cancer is spot on. You can try to treat it but sometimes it is terminal and there is no treatment. As long as she is on Social Media she will have this hate following her and there is nothing she can do to make it better because everything is recorded and will be brought back up. I can understand how you get suicidal through this and i am really concerned about her.
Dr K, I love your work but I truly think you should take a deep dive into the streaming community outside of just the one on one videos you make. The community can be horrifically toxic. The negative people don't care about someone improving. They want to troll, they want to follow the pack of wolves that just attack. This is a daily thing with dozens and dozens of streamers and especially women. And the level of drama between the streamers themselves on Twitter and other social accounts doesn't help. This issue is so much larger than it might appear or that you realize. Drama channels exist for this very reason, to expose these negative interactions between streamers and often times how these streamers react to their community. It's an entire culture that exists to expose people's faults and not give them the ability to learn or grow. Yes people make mistakes and they should, but once it happens, the attackers start. Please dig deeper into this community as a whole. I watch very little between twitch and UA-cam and even with my limited exposure I see it is rampant. You deserve credit for working to help these individuals see how their thoughts and feeling impact their lives and suggesting strategies, but as an internet culture, things need to change at the macro level. While you certainly can help an individual, helping change a mindset in a culture and community should be a larger focus to improve the environment as a whole. I would love to see the streamers themselves attack less and stand up for one another, speak out against these vicious trolls and users that only participate to attack. As a content creating community, they all need to stand together, speak out against these haters, and establish a methodology and culture that sticks together and supports one another. Dig into twitter, dig into these stream communities, dig into the drama channels that promote these conflicts and stir up the hatred. Keep up the great work but I do believe this is a much larger systemic problem that isn't visible unless you really research how toxic this whole community can get. The fact you've never heard of Keemstar is a massive issue in your overall exposure to the problem. I would even wager haters will emerge following your video that will attack Alinity. There are many many healthy streams and good communities and users, don't get me wrong. But there are millions of faceless and nameless people sitting in front of a screen that want to spread pain and misinformation. And it doesn't end. They attack day after day. A drama channel puts out a story, they attack again. A streamer posts about another streamer, they attack again. It's a terrible cycle and needs a more thorough review. Even by the time this video got to the section where you're laughing about how silly the whole situation is because "that's just how the internet is", that severely SEVERELY minimizes what's happening here. Please don't take this topic on such a surface level. I don't see many channels like yours on UA-cam so you might be the right person to take this leap. If you want a healthier gaming community as a whole, healthier gamers and streamers, a healthier Dr K community, you need to expand your reach and fully understand the problem. Everyone feels better in the moment of being helped, but life goes on after that and nothing will change outside of the small bubble of this video. Best of luck.
i think that every social media has the trolls but on twitch it feels personal i think and funniest thing they are the shit that they insulting you with is what they are themselves
You know, I completely agree with you--myself, my friends, and the community in twitch and youtube in general is often terribly toxic and completely insensitive. However, I don't think a systemic problem of CULTURE can be really solved by broadly talking about the issue. Take a look at some of his Q&A sessions and he talks about the psychology of a toxic individual quite often. The cycle that you mention seems to be a direct conclusion of some of the insecurities and loneliness that Dr. K states as possible baselines for the 'nameless dramatist'. However, there has been massive critiques on the community by several people with larger platforms than Dr. K, and I know that I personally would never change simply because some big personality states it's hurting their feelings. I think the point of AoE healing is that these individual micro heals will always help the culture, little by little, instead of polarizing the issue further. It should be noted that only the head honchos at youtube and twitch are capable of creating systemic level change, and from what we've seen of their policies, it's probably a bad idea to let them make any new decisions.
@@pokemonded Thank you for your perspective. I certainly understand where you're coming from. I sit in my own small corner of this massive community so seeing the broader picture always helps. I sit here day after day watching a video or stream and honestly it hurts to see what people on these sites go through. I saw a Dr K video and then the next and the next and the cup overflowed. I felt it important to at least say what I did and maybe broaden the scope, if even in the smallest way. Thank you again for the feedback. UA-cam and Twitch do need to stand up, we'll see what the future brings.
I completely agree with this. But would like to add onto what you said, I think one of the biggest problems is that often times the "good communities and good users" can be the same "nameless faceless people spreading pain and misinformation." There are definitely bad outliers (people who send death threats and targeted harassment and tell people to kill themselves) who are not in the majority. But in my opinion, the majority of the pain is caused by normal people who feel justified in expressing hate because of the way the narrative has been pushed. Alinity is the perfect example of this, because the baseline stories that the internet criticizes her for are truly worthy of criticism. She threw her cat over her chair, she fed her cat vodka, she joked about abusing copyright law for her own monetary gain (and the video did get struck, but not by her, or at her direction, what she said was intended to just be a joke), she had a nip slip, she joked about her past relationship in a way that sounded like she committed marriage fraud and was proud of it. All of these things are worthy of criticism, and normal people will hear them and criticize them. The issue is that normal people (and streamers) take these mistakes, and cache in on the righteous anger that feels so good, because if the hate is deserved, it doesn't feel so much like hate. Again, I'm not saying that normal people hear all this and issue death threats. BUT, normal people do hear these things and tend to completely write her off as a "bad person" and tend to overlook things like her apologizing, or owning up to her mistakes. Those things don't fit the narrative of "she is a bad person to the core", and it feels good to criticize people for bad things they do. It feels like you're making the world a better place by condemning evil things. The issue arises when the narrative about someone is being pushed SOLELY for people to use it as an outlet for what they feel as justified hatred or criticism. Again, I say Alinity is the perfect example of this because all of the criticisms are rooted in truth. But the snowballing narrative that has come out of those truths is by and large, false, exaggerated, and offers her no way of moving past it or "making up for it". I say all this to highlight how even the "good ones" (myself included) can contribute to these kind of cultures simply by being too eager to express their "righteous" anger, since sometimes the narrative will end up being somewhat false, just to encourage that outlet for justified anger. Each person needs to ask themselves "why do I dismiss this person?" "why do I write her off as nothing more than a 'twitch thot'?" "what could she do in order to make me forgive her?" And actively avoid buying into narratives that amount to "X PERSON BAD BECAUSE Y" and then writing off everything they do or say as wrong or disingenuous as a result. That's the only way to reverse this kind of culture.
@@jibblez353 so true, it is certainly a nuanced topic and your honesty is to your credit here. Maybe that's a good point too, Dr K jumps into these conversations based on users saying he should talk to person X or Y, and maybe he doesn't know the entire back story to these individuals. Certainly people should be held accountable for their actions, but they'll also come on Dr Ks stream and give their truth. Whether that's real, perception, or purposeful lies, he doesn't really know. He's just reacting to what they're saying. I think I was just trying to point out to him it's a much bigger issue that needs to be explored when it comes to these streamer interviews. I think with his own community, they don't necessarily have the size communities of these streamers. But I just see these interviews and think to myself "if he only really knew what was happening". But your point is well taken about the community as a whole, justified or not, righteous not not, accountable or not, it is a mixed bag. And changing one individual who is self aware to know what they're doing helps, but it's a drop in the ocean. Thank you for your input and perspective. Much appreciated.
I agree with Dr K when he said it would be worth trying to tackle the root of the toxicity and hatred in online gaming, though this is arguably a lot more difficult to do. This is also relevant to any social group though - there is toxicity and hatred within streamer fan groups, but also applies to religious groups, political parties, basically any group based around an idea that has another group with a differing opinion is likely to spawn animosity between themselves. It's like human behaviour so easily and naturally drawn to giving in to horrible, crappy behaviour. And the internet has made it easier to engage in these acts of hatred (and anonymously too, which empowers many who wouldn't have done so otherwise). I'm just so glad that Dr K has been able to help all these people so far. Thank you and keep at it Dr K! :)
they talk about abusive relationships. That is exactly what the internet is. People that send hate comments and especially DM’s are abusers and need to be treated as such, by law.
Abuse isn't actually illegal in most countries i know of including the USA. Sexual or physical assault is illegal; and hate speech and death threats are. I'm not sure about other types of threats beyond death ones. It sucks horribly that my mom was severely psychologically abusive and there was nothing anyone really could do to prevent that continuing to traumatized her children for years on end because she has the right to raise her children unless she commits a true crime or can be proven to be an unfit parent. Etc etc.
I never got why people enjoy jumping on the hate train so much. I've been aware of alinity for a few years now, and she's never been a person i particularly liked, but It just seems so ridiculous so go out of my way to publicly hate her. I dislike people in my daily life and can still interact with them as humans. Our generation need some serious help with social skills.
Right, it takes so much energy and evil mindedness to even comment to them something so hateful, yeah you can hate them but if you were empathetic you would second think to comment something that might ruin their day.
I think it is the ease of just making a comment and doing a hot take. You are also doing a hot take because you don’t know what that person with that evil comment is going through in their life. They might be suffering from some issue as well. You only judge those comment based on that small window. Same as how those evil comments were doing a hot take a small window of their target’s life. It is just a vicious cycle really.
@RaniaIsAwesome This is just shoving responsibility of bad behavior off. I am absolutely not convinced that the majoriy of her harrassment came from kids. and EVEN IF IT DID, we must ask ourselves, how did KIDS become incited into doing such a thing? Kids are not naturally prone to harm. They're taught to do it, just like racism, homophobia, etc.
By putting people down they either want to make themselve feel superior or signal their "virtue" with just a sentence and they can clap themselve on the back.
I don't think anyone deserves as much hate as she gets but she brings it on herself. She never owns up to the stuff that she does. For example after just hearing her explain the cat incidents I checked them again with what she said in mind. She clearly throws the cat out of anger and doesn't try to place it on her chair. She acts in this conversation as though the cat just happened to lick her lips. She sets the whole thing up by calling it a vodka kiss and holds her lips in front of the cat for about 5 seconds before it licks it, freaks out and she laughs her head off. I don't condone people bullying her but acting as though she isn't doing bad things doesn't help at all. The best way to teach her a lesson is to starve her of the attention she craves
Bruh, Dr. K even addresses this around the 58:00 min mark, she's already reflected on it plenty and is trying to change for the better. Trying to better your current self is an acknowledgement of past shortcomings. The lesson's been learned, let's move on.
If I'll be honest, I almost see myself as her when I listen to her speak. I've been seeing a therapist for almost a year straight over hatred from other people during my 1st year at university. I did things which were never completely right and I got people kicking at my flat door room over it, yelling and denouncing behavior. Spam calls and messages, authorities coming over heresy and even a pastoral carer being emotionally abusive because of my mistakes. I retreated into gaming as an extreme measure to escape, not buying food properly, losing weight, panicking in every waking moment. I was given a gap year to mend my broken self on a miracle of convincing my department to let me come back and try again. I considered suicide, I cry on a daily basis, I have nightmares about my world crumbling around me, insomnia, I even have images of myself burning alive from the raw pain of those emotions because they do not come out without washing over you and filling you up with the urge to scream. Everyday has become such a habit of self-sabotage, it becomes a coping mechanism to feel normal, and wearing my pain becomes my identity; because I started to believe what people would say about me. Now I still suffer from it, wondering if I will ever be better again, watching Guru's like Dr k to try to adapt and cope however I can, but of course I'm not Alinity, I'm Rory. It almost scares me how much people hide about themselves, that maybe if I opened up to someone else and took more risks, I could find solace in meaningful interaction, much like hearing Alinity tell her own story. I must confess I believed the hate on Alinity was real, because what I see in people like her are the things I reject about myself, and it makes me a horrible person. Whatever happens, I hope she does not end her life. I would suggest listening to recommended music, it helps me find something new to grieve with. Finding something new always helps. We are too young to die, there's so much fun yet to have, and we must live if we want to see it :) Take care everyone
ChaosKnight HD Sorry for what happened to you. I got bullied all my school years and even though it left scars I can't imagine how it was to live with the kind of hate you got. And great for you for admitting your own mistakes and trying to become a better person despite your circumstances. You genuinely come out as a very wise and reasonable person with things you say. You are making the world a slighly better and less toxic place even with just your words here. And a cruel world it can be sometimes. Hope you have a good day! If you ever wanna talk, shoot me a dm!
I understand the emotions that person can go through, but Alinity is just a case of fake emotions and complete acting. The last few years shes been ruining the platform that many people enjoy and getting rich off it, several youtubers spoke out about this (Penguinz01 for example). What she is doing is completely wrong and she doesnt learn from her mistakes. Yes, I understand Alinity faces some hate n shit, but it doesnt approve of what she has been doing. If people just stand back and not take more radical manevoures then Alinity will continue on with her manipulation of the platform.
Just look what she has been doing to her cat. ua-cam.com/video/4ThPUH_7LGE/v-deo.html People say that the best way to see someones personalities honestly is to see how do they treat animals.
@@lick28 There is a difference between 'hating' and speaking about a problem. Twitch has been ignoring everyone about this, and when Alinity self-requested a suspension, they out of nowhere suspended her 3 days, just shows how incapable they are, and Alinity always took advantage of it to get away from multiple faults she has done. If a person had abused its pet, made several explicit incursions and exploited its viewership on a platform you enjoy being on and spend a lot of time on, would you just ignore it and move on?
It would be super interesting if you could get a session with keemstar, especially because he is seen by many people as a bad person. I know he's not really a streamer but it could look into the perspective of someone who tends to spread hate. Or maybe Dr. K doesn't even want to cross paths with that man which is completely understandable.
Keemstar is shaping up as Dr. K's final boss
I'd pay to see that battle
He would never go on
Nobody thinks that guy is redeemable. Unless dr K openly admits that the lives Keemstar has destroyed are acceptable in his pursuit of his content.
the plot is getting thicker
That would turn into an argument fast
After Reckful I am making a conscious effort to not hate on other people. Not that I hated on Reckful but it's so easy to effect others with your words and make their situation harder to deal with and I don't want to be a part of that ever again. I mean look how fast it breaks down, within 5 minutes of talking about their life they are already crying. People hurt so much and many have nobody to talk to about any of this which is why these Dr K chats are such a good idea.
Yes! Thank you for being a great example to others!
Really great mind set, good on you for being a good example for what we should aspire to be.
seems like someone woke up from a pointless hate train, nice going man, keep it up
I used to hate her for the things she's done to her cat, stupid and silly things that does not justify the need for this amount of hate...
It's the mob mentality. Most people are still falling into it with politics in particular these days.

Yes, but it shouldn't be one-sided. There is always another side to the story. Doesn't mean whatever anyone does or says is right.

Legend says that if you go into one of Dr.K's doors you come out the other one.

Wait, is coon a slur?
@@qaiser648 yes
@@qaiser648 We all know tfue really meant to swear tbh

Man same. I know people process things differently but I find it hard to think through almost anything he says with 5000 sad pepes zooming by
It’s sad the amount of unlimited hate she gets from one incident she apologized for, proved that she changed and wants to keep growing and still gets people not only hating her on past mistakes already either proven false but also just a mistake atoned for long ago but wishing her to die and stuff....online toxicity needs to be addressed and fixed, people on the internet are so confident on being shielded behind their screens that they will literally send you death threats and shit cuz they know you can’t do anything about it or see them physically....But I can bet you that 90% of those people wouldn’t do so face to face to those people.....Did Alinity deserve some sort of backlash on those incidents?!

@@foop145 totally agree. I am just saying that they are messing a huge part of the session.

I geniunely do not understand how some people devote their lives to sending death threats to others online.
As Dr K taught us once: Hatred comes from anger and anger comes from hurt. People hurt, and they deflect that feeling onto others.
I just found out about you and what you do. Doctor K you are a real hero.

When she says that when she sleeps her body is asleep but her mind isn't, I relate to that so hard. It's hard or near impossible to shut off my brain.
59:15 this made me smile the way she smiled when he said that
and then he immediately calls her stupid lmao fucking aye
Whether or not she's actually learned from her bad decisions... is it even worth the time to harass her online? I still find it unfathomable how so many people seem to have nothing productive to do with their time.
It only takes around 30 seconds to harass her. Its not like people are on her twitter page for 3 hours or more. What else is productive in 30 seconds? Grabbing a glass of water?
Without that instant harrasment she wouldn't have known what she did was wrong . But harrasing her for things she did a year ago is kinda toxic.
@@saltygamer8435 Is it not possible to let people know that they made a mistake without harassing them? Does it really take thousands of people telling someone to kill themselves to get them to introspect and change their behavior?
Her army of simps does find it worth it to harass anyone who criticizes her even slightly.
it's about justice. people are fighting for it. she get's away with animal abuse live in steam.
This help me gain more perspective. You the MaN, Dr. K!
the clip where she throws her cat doesn't look like she was just trying to set the cat up on her chair. it looks like she genuinely threw the cat. most of the videos where she's harassing her pets show her laughing after the fact, with no remorse. (and there's a disturbing amount of these pet clips.) after the vodka kiss, she simply says "I told you it was vodka."
i can see how being drunk, bipolar manic, etc. can all contribute to things like this, but reasons are not valid excuses. these are the only behaviors out of alinity I've ever seen that have upset or disgusted me. they're also the only ones that can't be fixed with a simple apology, but require a complete change in behavior regarding them.
alinity, everyone's always going through something, and I feel for you, I really do. but I'm mostly glad that you didn't hide the pet one away, and instead addressed it and made it clear you've learned they're mistakes. thank you for that, and please continue to treat your pets more gently and mindfully.
Honestly the vodka kiss is the most egregious one
She was lying left to right in this video. She tried to blame the company that copystrike piediepew. Blame her exhusband for cheating on her (most probably a lie). Etc
Juan Coffaro I do not know much about the situation, but how can you just outright say “most probably a lie”? Do you have background information? Also apparently the company made a statement saying the copyright strike wasn’t by her, so what are you trying to say by “trying to blame the company” when the company itself clears it? What is your evidence in claiming she’s lying left and right?

This episode definitely felt more like a platform for her to share her story as Dr. K wasn't able to help as much. Usually I ask myself a ton of questions during these shows but I didn't do it so much this show. But was still good to hear her story and pain. Can't imagine what that's like. Meditation was great at the end! Hopefully, she find whatever she needs to not let the hate permeate her so much. It would truly be interesting if he does get one of her haters on here...
it reminds me of a kid i went to school with, poor guy attracted the hate of everybody, people picked on him for everything and nothing, call him names, at lunch he would sit alone the whole table for himself as people avoided him like he had the plague and people in charge of us would threaten us with forcing us to sit with him at lunch when we were too rowdy. i think they did this because they felt bad for him and wanted people to interact with him. the worst thing with all of this is that he wasn't ugly or anything, just chubby and as far as i know never did anything to deserve that hate. however he would fight back when people picked on him, i guess they liked getting a reaction. i never forgot his name and sometimes wonder what happened to him.
could be worth a try looking him up on facebook or instagram. or just google his name. hope that poor dude is OK today....
Huh I think a lot of people just want her to say sorry for throwing her cat and possibly seeking out twitch to give her the suspensions she deserves for committing those actions it doesn’t matter how far back it was
Meh the more they use simp the less meaning it has and they will eventually move on to other words for other people with different opinions.

I watched the whole video and now I just want to give Alinity a hug.
healthygamer is the best thing i saw ever happen.. thank you for everything you will do and have done, greetings from Austria

The bandwagon is as full of people as ever!
Try to watch through the whole thing. It sounds like shes deflecting at first, but just wait till she starts explaining herself
...where she keeps deflecting

I understand the emotions that person can go through, but Alinity is just a case of fake emotions and complete acting.
