Thanks for taking us along. You have a real flair for mixing gorgeous photography, background music, and low-key commentary. The labeling of the roads is a nice great idea; it gives the viewer a chance to follow along on the map. Looking forward to doing this ride myself.
This video should have 50,000 views. Great editing, mixing in your drone footage with the Go Pro stuff. Perfect background music. I came for the BDR-X ride, but stayed for the excellent scenery and commentary. Shaking off 45 years of riding rust, I bought a dual sport bike at 60 (a bit early) and will be riding the BDR-X in my retirement, if not sooner. Thanks for taking the time to video and edit all of this together for us.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate you saying this. I still want to go back and run section 2 again and then explore more of the trails all around there. You could spend a year on a small dual sport and not see all the black hills have to offer. I still find it so strange the badlands and the black hills are so different from each other, yet so close. And also nothing like the rest of the state. It's a wonder to see. I hope you have the best adventure when you get out there. Thanks for the support.
RIGHT! production value on these is spectacular. Just stumbled upon the channel after seeing someone post a link to a trail he rode in rural eastern KY recently, and just can't get enough! Now I got google maps on the other monitor planning a weekend ride locally here just cause I've got the bug.
I really like your intro song. been through custer, black hills and badlands and although those were the final parts of my three month trip they made wonderful memories.
As I have said before, you are so lucky to live in that magnificent country across the pond from here. Only saw a very small amount (3000 miles) on a bike in 2008 but loved it then. Thanks for showing us all the wonders of the more remote areas that I did not get to see. Looking forward to anything else you want to throw my way. Keep safe. Regards, Mike. (from England)
Well done Jay, well done! Wondering if you'd ever seen any of Tewster2's Y.T. stuff a few years back, such as "Tiny Bike to Alaska"? You guys have similar styles in many ways, keep up the good work! Re: "Too many tourists," I was there in May and did not have that problem, LOL. (Some snow storms here and there, but not very many tourists.) Looking forward to your next adventures!
I have not seen tewster2's stuff, but will be checking it out now.. Tiny bike to Alaska sounds like my cup of tea. Oh boy, I knew I was asking for trouble the week before Sturgis, but just didn't know if I would get another chance with the timeframe I had. I cut out so much of the business. I bet I passed 10k bikes on section 3. I never seen anything like that. I would love to hit that section in the fall one day. Until then, I'm still glad I did it. Thanks again for riding along. And the kind words mean a lot.
thats cool you could get your drone out on that loop on Iron Mtn Rd....very cool series so far Jay......what jacket are you wearing? is it completely vented or just like a nice all around jacket? i'm looking for something lol
Klim marrakesh. Highly recommend. Like wearing a sweatshirt but cool. It does allow air to flow. Not like a full vented but close. The trade off in comfort is more than with it. Not good in cold weather though. Will need another jacket or outer layer.

@@JoshuaClarked these are my favorite compliments. If I can get one person inspired to get out there and adventure, then I am happy.
Hey, just wanted to say how much I appreciated this series of videos. Very well done. Very inspiring!
Great to hear. I appreciate you taking the time. Loved that trip so much.
I really like your intro song. been through custer, black hills and badlands and although those were the final parts of my three month trip they made wonderful memories.
Thanks so much. One of my favorite areas. Appreciate you spending time on the channel.
What a fantastic ride. Thanks for bringing us along. Would love to ride this someday!
So much to see, so little time... Get it on the calendar.

My pleasure Mike. It's a thrill to know you are enjoying the videos from so far away. Keeps me going for sure.
You make some really enjoyable videos, thanks brother.
My pleasure. Thanks for watching.
Another epic adventure. Can’t wait to see what you do next year.
Thanks Paul. All I've been doing is riding, I have so much stuff recorded. I will have plenty to do this winter.
Thanks!
so much thanks!!!!!!

@@localrouteadv cool thanks, i already have the induction jacket, and wanted something that isn't completely vented....
@@Eds_PanAm it still lets air through, but nothing like the induction. But also wouldn't consider it a cooler weather jacket without layers.
@@localrouteadv ok..... just looking for something for spring
Is it waterproof?
@@Eds_PanAm semi waterproof. After 30 minutes it comes through, but dries in 10 minutes while riding after rain.
