The two brothers are not "boys", they're adults and should be well aware of the fact that living in such conditions is unacceptable. It lets you assume their personal hygiene is exactly on the same level. Yuck
Can you imagine how many of these kind of people out there and we quite possibly travel with them on public transport etc. 😀 this bad examples makes you germophobe even if you were not one before 😀
Haha I read some of the comments and it seems to me it's possible that those who judge the filthy turn into OCDs, and those who recognize some OCD in themselves go towards "filthy". Funny.
What would girls think if they were to go there?
@@margasa7 There are limits to everything. They are disgusting. Anyone living in an acceptable looking house will see that house as disgusting. Their "normal" mother was distraught and started crying, any normal person would react like that.
Actually they are boys 🤣 in an adult body. Men don't disrespect their mother like that.
After watching quite a lot of these I have to say Ben is one of the most respectful of the cleaners
Well yes, but he also didn’t have to deal with true squalor like many of the others.
He still needs to deal with the issues he has around untidiness around hes own children tho I hope hes had help since so hes children and him can enjoy time together ❤ the fact hes children have a bedroom but can't stay made my heart break a little xx
He is so sweet...
And Jade, from the previous ep.
Agreed
Omg Ben has a real issue. You have kids room and can't have the kids in it. You have a bed but is on the ground sleeping.
Life is too short to loose your children over your situation.
Yeah that’s what OCD is. It’s not just “haha I gotta organise.” It’s “if I don’t organise these cushions 14 times right now everyone I know and love will die in a fire”. That’s the compulsive part.
This is why ocd is a mental illness hun
i cant believe he spends all that time making the bed and he doesnt even sleep in it lol
his own kids.
I died when he say ‘hi I’m Ben’ and she said ‘hi I’m Jerry. Because it’s like the ice cream😂.
poor ben needs help, he can't even have his own kids over
that was sad..Gonna to effect his future relationship with them for sure
I was wondering, is there treatment for OCD?
@@haskao77 yes cbt and exposure therapy
@@Nancy-lc8jw Thank you.
They need to try Faster EFT As well.I am nowhere near ocd but I also dont like mess and untidyness everywhere, and to be honest I have a 3 yr old and her constant mess depresses me, but I let her do it and clean when she sleeps. Then she goes to her dad on weekends and for 2 days I can live in peace and calm until she comes home and the mess starts again. And im not ocd everything is not on its place like a showroom. So I do feel for this guy. Its really not a good feeling
Those two brothers are a lost cause. Throwing darts into the wall? The filthy bathroom? The piles of cigarettes? No respect for themselves or their mum or anyone who comes to visit. Disgusting.
They dont even take care of the dog. Look at its nails, poor thing.
Probably don’t have a girlfriend
They are devaluing that property those boys.. what on earth is that mother thinking of.. her property will be destroyed 😢
Ben is lovely. I hope he can get the help he needs to overcome his OCD.
I just loved Sarah! She did not mince her words, was honest about the mess, roped the brothers in to clean, sent the boy off to pee in the yard, said she would have thrown the boys out of the house if she was their mom (exactly my sentiment, tough love! Way to go, Sarah!
The scene with Jerry and Ben fussing about the bedding creases was really wholesome. Jerry has no understanding whatsoever about Ben's ocd but still helped him in such a simple effective way, it was really cute
Gerri is her name
The sons lack of respect for there mum and her property is discussing i would have told them to clean it or get out
If those are my mum, she will gave good beating first, then kick me out if i were to let her house ruins.
It's disgusting. Not discussing.
I stayed at my grandparents for a year. They told me if my bed wasn't made and the room weren't clean I couldn't stay. I respect them so much and love them to bits, it was easy for me - should be easy for them too.
@@krystallify it is easy but also don't say stuff like "if I can do it they can too" bc you never know what people are goug through. But in this case the boys are just...well not well behaved.
That's what I was thinking.. I would be ashamed as a mother.. This also shows that she couldn't teach her 2 sons how to properly clean the house and (probably) their own personal hygiene too..
So we're not going to talk about the face that she uses the same vacuum to clean the toaster AND the outside?
I thought the same 😂 that’s not really ocd to me. It’s a bit like using your kitchen mop to clean the toilet floor 🤮
@@samanthahartles5701 you have more than one mop? Ya know floor cleaner kills the germs right lol
Gross ! I could never do that.
She might have switched attachments off-screen? I sure hope she has one that is for only outside cleaning.
@@samanthahartles5701 Do you live in Tesco that you have 3 different coloured mops for different things? xD
I love Jerri so much. She's so colorful, creative, and kind. Her messiness is not disgusting and lazy like the others. She wanted to give back to the world, and utlitize her creativity and kindness.
She was kind of receptive when he pointed out the benefit of clearing up sho she could carry out her projects and finish them instead of hoarding up stuff. She was a bit emotional needing the walk because he was right, and kind about it.
I think her problem is like mine. You have all these awesome ideas for things just not enough space in your house for them to be completed. Especially in the UK where living space is so small.
It can be so hard being Environmentally conscious and creative. I have bins of fabric to upcycle. I totally get her. but I also keep it contained and I donate or recycle what I can.
@ Rikki- Jade Sixx I agree totally with you I hate people like this the laziness is unreal and I just want to scream at them
@Rikki Sixx yep, nice, creative lady but come tf on - 'There's absolutely no joy in cleaning...' 🙄 Sounds like an 8 year old - is there 'joy' in paying bills? Going to the doctors? Wiping your a*se? No. *But some things just have to be done.* How can you get to your 50s & not get this?! 🤔
I know they have ocd and it’s a terrible affliction but I feel that the mother daughter duo is a very difficult combo - the mother often seems to make the daughter even more stressed and it’s hard to watch! I know for some it’s untreatable and it’s possibly being hammed up for the cameras but (in my opinion) the mother has a responsibility to utilise therapy or medication to help herself and as a result support her daughter? Regardless I love these shows 😂
They are extremely co dependent and the Mum wants to keep her by her side.
@@bigb853 absolutely agree 👍
I can't stand the pair of them, they give me anxiety
They do utilise therapy. Lesley said in another episode they have been to CBT therapy sessions, which had failed. They then said they were upset by the wait in between trying to see a therapist for more sessions. Lesley said she had to wait 32 weeks then another 42 weeks to see one.
Lesley also admits that she feels responsible for Tuesday having OCD and felt really upset and blames herself. They are both seeking help to the best of their ability.
Some people blame Lesley for Tuesdays illness, but Lesley fell ill herself and has tried everything to get rid of it
Absolutely, I thought the same thing, the mother is definitely aggravating the whole situation no end. Perhaps even growing up in that environment could have had adverse effects on the daughter as well.
Andy and mikk stopped doing dishes as they *ran out of washing up liquid*
Wtf can't they just buy more lmao 😂
😂
No. Because mum didn't buy it for them. *sigh*
They need man classes, lol! Time to grow up!
Buy more? Isn’t that effort?
I wonder what happens when the toilet roll runs out 🤢🤮
So sad he can't have his own children in his home.😢
You do realize this episode is from 2010 or 11, yes? I don't recall if he ever really was comfortable having his children sleep over, but now they're both young adults, or at least in their late teens, and likely don't want to sleep over, or at least not in the same room.
Very sad for everyone 😿

Andy and Mikk are just immature children. Mom should be pretty embarrassed that she perpetuates that behavior.
Their frat boy lifestyle was just gross.
They are disrespectful, rude, arrogant, and they live and act like slobs.
Yea I feel sorry for the mom...those sons are horrible...
When she said about the moth "oh it's actually quite beautiful, a piece of wildlife" that's cracked me up! 😂

I’m from Coventry and most of the youth and some young adults have the same attitude to cleanliness. I’ve been in a lot of dirty cov houses in my day 🥲
They’re obsessed with cleaning, I’m obsessed with these videos 😅
I understand if people haven't been able to keep their house clean after a loved one died, but just throwing darts a the wall? Absolutely l no reason for that what so ever, so disrespectful. If they were my kids I would give them a week to clean everything or else they can leave.
Those 2 boys seem almost proud of the disgusting state of their house while they were showing her around 🤮
Ben is such a sweet and kind person, I hope he found some help and is enjoying his children now, he'd be such a lovely dad. Honestly I think the boys laughing was more embarrassment, deep down they were upset at themselves for upsetting their mum.
I feel bad for Tuesday, she’s innocent but I hate it when mothers project their mental illness into children in this extreme manner…awe they gave her an Eukelele, people can’t be organized w out being taught organizational skills..
The mum of the frat boys only saw two options: Let them stay or make them homeless on the street. But I saw grown men who could work to support themselves. If they were kicked out of that house, they would quickly have to figure out a way to pay rent elsewhere.
She's supporting their lazyniess now and has likely done so all their lifes, so I'm not sure I feel sorry for her. Clearly they never had to take any responsibility for their actions or needed to help around the house or anything really. Not even respect for someone else's property has been internalised. I guess with so little respect, a complete lack of responsibility and so much lazyness between the two of them, chances are that the mother feared that if she doesen't let them live there, they'd become criminals in order to support themselves.
@@nicoleroth3127 These boys in adult bodies are so pathetic. That mother failed as a mother.
The illogic is baffling. If you use your toilet you can't contaminate it with germ you don't already have. Instead you keep your toilet spotless and rather have your boyfriend use a public toilet from where he could bring home new germs.
Yeah its more about the obsessive thoughts rather than logical reasoning
Nothing to do with logic. It’s a mental illness.

True but I think she meant irl. 🤔
Just last week in the US a hoarder whose clutter infiltrated his entire home and surrounding yard caught fire and because of what he had in the home caused several explosions and resulted in his death and the destruction of almost an entire city block. Can you imagine all these OCD people now during the pandemic . They were probably the ones who bought all the anti-bacterial stuff in the supermarkets and left the shelves empty 😂
i believe Lesley has ruined Tuesday's life, by putting the fear and obsession into her life.
I agree. They all have different things that they can't bear but that mother is giving Tuesday all of her fears too so she's ending up with double the amount of fears. She also points things out like ' Tuesday I can't believe you're touching that ' instantly making her doubt it when she was fine before mother said anything!
ruined it from the start with that name
I felt sick with her using the vacuum on the work surface and toaster. That is just nasty!
Me too! Funny how a lot of these people are ocd diagnosed and in wear their shoes in their houses, I’m not ocd diagnosed but people must remove their shoes in my house
I was wondering about that too she used the vacuum on the floor and the toaster then to the deck?

@@debbiemohekey1509 Amen to that!
It's beyond me why so many parents think that making children help with chores appropriate for their age is taking away something of their childhood when, in fact, it can be very rewarding for them short and long-term. It's not as if children at coming off age suddenly know all these things; and on top of that, there's that sense of entitlement that develops which leads them to believe that everyone owes them while they don't need to lift a finger.
'Doing everything for your children' doesn't need and shouldn't be taken literally, they can and should do some things for themselves and for their family, f.e. setting/clearing the table, bring out the rubbish, wash the dishes, wipe the table and the like. It's those little things that make everyone's life easier and which also has children grow into responsible adults. - Unlike here...
I find it interesting that this show pairs the OCD folks with people who need to learn cleaning skills and incentive. I see it as sorta kind of therapy. I went through a bad germaphobe stage once, I realized the air I breath is full of germs and that realization helped me to, mostly, get past it.
When you live with somebody that doesn't care to clean it's nearly impossible to live a healthy life, I finally gave up and only clean my

@@Kubulek17 Same. I can’t look at filth and not try to clean it. Even if it means I’m doing someone else’s job. Sometimes you have to be the better person and take initiative, because there are people who just won’t change. Sucks, but it’s true.
The level of disrespect those two boys have for their mothers house kinda shows how little respect they have for her....
Ben is such kind soul, I'm sure with the right professionals he can go far and enjoy a happy life, and Jerri is a sunshine, the way she brought the iron for Ben to get rid of the wrinkles on the bed sheets so that he could feel better is a subtle 'thank you for doing this, I care for you'. She was not disgusting, she was just a hoarder of potencial art work. I hope both of them are doing great.
Ben is such a sweetheart
Jeanette is an enabling her sons to never be able to live on their own.
It's interesting the psychological effect these people have on one another. In the end the OCD people tend to loosen up their standards a bit and the hoarders tend to feel invigorated to keep their home clean. It's a win-win for both parties. It seems the OCD people have taken a step back and realize how their cleaning is a bit too much, that you can still enjoy it being a little messy temporarily while doing things with the children and still be able to retain their standards afterwards. They realize that the family interaction is much more valuable in the end than a spotless germ free home and they begin to see that once they help out the hoarder. Sometimes psychiatric treatment in itself isn't enough to turn a person around. Sometimes it's the intervention that does the trick,
This isn’t ocd
In cognitive behaviour therapy it's often successful to have controlled exposure tho what you may have a phobia or feeling uncomfortable about. The effects may be similar for these situations. Germohobe exposed to them som hours per day and hoarder getting to view their stuff trough a more critical evaluating frame. Often they seem to be obsessed over the issue of "my stuff" and come up with weird answers when asked what purpose or good it is to them.
Don't watch this at 2 am, it will make you get out of bed and start cleaning haha

I discovered this channel recently, can’t help but to watch it like a marathon but the most valuable lesson I take from it is that Balance is the most important thing in life! Nothing in excess… a clean environment is an open door to flow and greatness… don’t over do it, keep it clean and organized and make time to enjoy life and dinners and coffee outside! Life is unpredictable, just try!

On the contrary, their immune systems are weak due to never having to make anti-bodies against germs.. They would commit suicide if they knew that the body is more bacteria than human.
I'm starting to think that ppl with OCD cleaning obsessions might be addicted to certain chemicals in their cleaning products. They are terrified of being harmed by germs yet not scared one bit about the harmful bleach fumes etc.
My OCD is like the opposite of the heavy bleach and chemical cleaning product users. Part of mine is finding all kinds of cleaning methods that use natural cleaning methods instead of chemical cleaning products
Ben & Geri are lovely working together, you can see they both tried as hard as they could to show respect & tolerance, and honestly this episode clearly shows that the producers actually CARE and place people together that will help eachother, both with the mess and mentaly begining to heal... i am a tiny bit 'obsessed' with this show 🤣
I hope Ben has been able to have his kids over now even just to visit. He seems like a nice guy and I liked that Gerri was able to help him with the bed making when he was getting stressed
I like the obsessive cleaners' clean orderly homes.
Those cleaners are doing an amazing job! Helping each other is really a good idea also...
I don't know if Mom was just trying to keep like a smile on her face for the camera. I feel like a part of her son's failures to keep her house clean is on her for clearly not teaching them how or raising them in just the way to respect other people's belongings.
if you want to be lazy, if you want to be dirty it is one thing to do it to someone else's home or someone else's things versus doing it to a home you own. And her sons have no problem doing it to her.
Gerri is amazing i love her. She wants help and is willing to get it.She has lovely energy:))
The brothers.... Wow, imagine them meeting women and what a life the women would have. The mum is just as bad tbh. She's smiling at them throwing darts at the living room wall 🤦🏻♀️. They're not children, they're fully grown men.

It shocked me that the person obsessed with cleaning touched the medicine dropper with his mouth and then right back in the bottle
Same goes for the woman who vacuums the toaster after she did the floor and the deck with it.
Just let's you think it is a sickness or a disorder where they're compelled to do illogical things
i mean thats the thing about ocd (or one of them) some things and methods seem to have an obvious why an obvious sequence of doing and some just dont sometimes but it still also shocks me when I see people touch literally poop sometimes and then touch their faces Im like dudeeeee you for realllllll
I don’t have ocd but people must remove their shoes when in my house. Whereas I’ve seen numerous of these videos with people actually diagnosed with ocd and wear their shoes in their houses 🤨

OCD is a weird disease and logic is usualy tossed to make room for compulsions
Ben is such a sweetheart in this episode I love his positivity
The sons are so disrespectful. :(
This such a great series. I like watching things like this to help motivate me to clean more. Most of the OCD people have helped people to feel better about cleaning more. But that mother with the spiky hair is not great for the daughter. The daughter seems to want to live a semi normal life but her mother is so dominant that I don't think that she would.
This has nothing to do w the video but the first pair ben and jerry reminded me of icecream and it made me happy lol
bruh ik they have ocd but u can't just make urself sleep on a thin mat while u have a king size bed
I'm happy to see updates of both groups of people at the end of the video. They are both extremes...the updates help with recognizing neither one is better than the other.
Normally I feel a bit bad when the cleaners come in and can be a bit abrupt (especially if the messy person has a disability or mental health condition). However, the reaction the boys got was completely justified.
The real heroes here are the cleaners, they work, clean and help other people. What do the hoarders do for anybody else? NOTHING, not even cleaning for themselves. Laziness and lack of self respect shows when you do not clean or declutter your house.
Well I don’t respect myself so that figures

It's nothing to do with nationality
@@El_Nombre-e3x it kinda does. A lot of nationalities are VERY houseproud. It’s the same with Eastern Europeans. Cleanliness is next to godliness
They only think having OCD is bad but "manageable" because they don't have OCD and clinical depression at the same time, otherwise they would know how it feels like to live in chaos but being tormented by a mind that demands perfection and yet doesn't have the strengh to act on it. THAT is living hell!

For me I feel like with Sarah is more of a anxiety thing
Very Good episode. Ben is lovely, hope he'll get help he needs. Sarah rules.
Lesley and Tuesday are like 2 "obsession mirrors" facing each other and reflecting their obsessions endlessly.
Ben is not using rescue remedy correctly. Instead of dropping the rescue drops without putting the pipette in his mouth, he sucks the pipette and puts it back in the bottle ... Curious from an OCD ...
Omw I was thinking the same thing. I was like Im not even OCD but who does that. But the thing is I dont think OCD brains work on logic. There is a glitch somewhere in that system
It's only his germs, and those flower essences are distilled in alcohol, so I can see why it wouldn't bother him.
@@roseduste80 it´s not even "flower essences". It´s 120gr Plant material cooked in 1 Liter of Water (basically herbal tea), and then diluted in 40% Alcohol 1:240. So we´re basically talking Wodka and tiny drop o´water. So, yeah, should be germwise ;)
don´t be fooled, the correctness of drinking shots differs a lot in cultures! ;) Some down it in one go, some bang the glass on the table , some delicately balance the shotglas to flow into their beerglas whilst drinking, and then there is the Jägerbomb. Placebo defies logic. So does OCD behaviour. :)
Even ten years after seeing this episode in its television format, I find those two young males to be utterly repulsive, and that's even before their vile lack of effort to take care of their mother's apartment.
That poor dog needs it's claws clipped so I doubt them 2 brothers take that dog for a walk. There's cleaning and there's too much cleaning.
The dog looks miserable poor thing
This is such a brilliant pairing of OCD disorders. Both extremes have
much to learn from one another. And hopefully they will find their way back to the grey. I love how quick the germaphobes can let go of things (and throw things away) and at the same time, how fearless and comfortable the hoarders can be around filth and disorder. I hope all of these folks find their way back to (psychologically) healthier and more fulfilling behavior patterns.
Those 2 boys were wonderful - this episoide had the first people Ive seen on this show that give it a go, don't complain and are grateful
I think the mother who has passed on her OCD to her daughter should be ashamed of herself.
No, she shouldnt be shamed for having a mental illness.
What they need is help.
The brothers should be ashamed!! Shouldn't there be some difference between their dog and them with regard to the conditions they chose to live? I don't even want to imagine the state of their personal hygiene.

What person throws darts at the wall, disrespectful. If that were my children they would be out on the street. Unacceptable
Did they really have to throw out the microwave? That seems extreme, you can clean them lol
That was hilarious and scary at the same time that plate reading in the cafe
I really like Ben. He’s so sweet
clearly the mother has not taught her sons well.. she's giggling at the mess they've made like it's cute. no it's not, they're two grown men who cannot bother to keep their surroundings clean, what kind of man did you raise? shame on you.
What is the point of cleaning the toilette early in the morning and then before going to bed? Who uses it during the night? That being said, I would like one of the OCD guys twice an year at my home for a deep cleaning. Everything else I can do myself.
I think it's more clean it in the morning as part of the morning routine and then clean the filth build up at night x
this happens when mummy does everything for and after her precious boys, they learn nothing
