Interesting is Dell, Samsung, GE, ESRI, taking coworking spaces… if all goes well, these will be the companies next taking 10k sqft space… and then later to >50k sqft space …and that can change the landscape for IT in Kolkata…as these are real product based IT companies

What do u mean by that? What are they going to produce? They are services companies providing resource outsourcing or consultancy.......Seems like you are already in Museum or one of those who know nothing about IT and just comment everywhere! Good Luck!
All these service based IT companies are here to attract local talents. As of now that is all we need to create more jobs, first job then we can think about our next steps. The journey should be slow but steady.
Some good news for the day:
1) HIDCO has applied for EC of Vertical City finally.
2) Skipper Ltd is investing to make a new hot rolling mill plant to manufacture angles at their Uluberia plant. Total project cost stands at 447 crores.
3) GoWB has recently hinted that Tajpur project is moving at an okay pace and not halted, confirmed by Ananda Bazaar recently.
4) Rashidhan Sales Pvt Ltd is investing 350 crores on capacity expansion.
5) Cresent Foundry has also applied for EC of expansion worth around 90 lakhs.
tbh I havent heard anything abt the Tajpur port and same from Adani. Wonder whats going on.

Seriously only God knows what's going on there... Perhaps Hindenburg report has done lot of damage which lead to further delay...

Why dont our CM go and meet big companies CEO or call them once in WB to propose them to open factories or offices like other state CM does for their state. Look at Kerala, Bengaluru, Chennai, Gujarat, everyone is in competition who can bring more companies or bigger investments but why there is no effort from the Bengal side. I want to give one small example between two states which are ruled by regional parties, not BJP/Congress. Tamil Nadu and West Bengal, ruled by DMK & TMC currently. After I.N.D.I.A opposition political alliance meeting in bengaluru where both cm of two states MK Stalin and Mamata Banerjee participated. After the alliance meeting, DMK CM Stalin met with Foxconn CEO Cheng to attract investment in his state whereas TMC CM Mamata Banerjee announced "KHELA HOBE PROKOLPO" for 100 days work on 21st July Shahid Diwas.
Now one can guess where the difference lies between two states.
Had it been the other way round, I would have been more surprised

Now time has come for video of BSV. I want to see what's going on in reliance It park specially and in adani plot also+ TCS.. Bcz i don't have too much faith on big conglomerates.. They take lots of time to build campus/ plant.. Rather Companies like L&T alwys been more efficient and faster than expected..
Big tech product based companies/ banking/finance firms are needed.
All the names are service based..till now zero production company or scale is very very low...so far, picture is gloomy..
By relying on IT, rapid growth is not possible. Bengal need heavy industries, massive core factories need to be set up here. But for last 25+ years no heavy factory has been opened and neither of the parties has really worked for it.

The image of Bengal is quite bleak all over India. You see outside WB it's a total different world, it's progressive, peaceful, prosperous, and dynamic yet stable, which is beyond our reach. The youtube is full of videos on one side of "how Bengal is dying" and on the other side of "megaprojects of India" which mostly include MH, GJ, KA, AP, TS, UP and videos by western channels on " how Bangladesh is becoming rich". Now tell me is it too inconspicuous to understand where we are doing wrong?? A decade has passed, we are still buried in debris, we couldn't pull that rope hard enough yet...
