Been here since you made your job quitting video like 3 years ago and seeing your growth has been nothing short of inspiring. You're killing it man, thanks for sharing the journey with all of us.
I worked as a freelance designer for 2 years and for a creative agency for 3 years, until things reached a dead end for me. In this period of searching for a new job, not receiving any responses from the places I've applied to made me question my career. After watching your video, I remembered why I love being a designer again. Thanks a lot for that!
The professor part is so real I remember being in class and being critiqued by my professor on how my design would not work or if tried going a different route and whenever I would get graded on my work they would always mention that I should have done what they recommended which is BS but you kinda gotta suck up on your professor to get a good grade.
Your content over the last 2 years has been crucial for me! I was in a huge drought with creating graphics and 3d animation, I was recommended your videos on UA-cam and it gave me strength and tons of valuable information to push myself out of that! Thank you and we are all super happy for your accomplishment in reaching 100k!
I was passionate about the design, but for several years now I've got lost. Trying to find now inspiration, cause still graphic design - is what I want to do. At some point I realised that I can't be the coolest designer or at least somehow unique, and I've got disapointed in myself. Gonna watch more of your video, I feel I'll find something what I need now
normally don't comment on vids but knowing i'm not the only one who went down the "created-wwe chactacter-to-graphic-designer" pipeline is so dope haha - congrats on 100k!
Thank you so much to you for always bringing invaluable videos based on your experience, which makes you one of the finest Design Content Creator on the GLOBE. One of the major parts of my growth will always thank you for the rest of life.
love from germany! you are so inspiring. i started watching you about 3 months ago, you are on of the main reasons why i got motivated to work with photoshop again to create stuff. god bless! :)
This was such a wholesome video! I'e been avoiding watching content from other designers for a while because I find myself in this comparative loop not knowing their experience or context. But this was super refreshing and cool to understand the time, effort and energy that goes into getting to where you are. Congrats! You've worked super hard for this and you deserve it. Keep up the good work
Thanks Jesse for all your videos, can't wait for more. They’re a big inspiration for me and other designers just starting out. Congrats on the 100k! Greetings from Argentina.
Your Insight on your journey is great and style as well, your videos keep my creativity going even when I have creative block. So thank you so much, and the hard work you put out. never give up and stay on the grind, the job is not finished nor will it be, learning is universal. have a good day.
Hi Jesse, this is the first time that I comment on one of your videos. I always watch every single video that you upload, your content is amazing, and it gives me a lot of inspiration. It helps me to keep doing what I like, and you always show that if you put effort to it, it is possible. I just want you to thank you for opload these videos, you are amazing, keep going! Congrats on the badge!
congrats on 100k man ! your vids have been a great inspiration, and abt that part on the WWE and NBA creation, ive never found someone else who also related to that ☠️
Congrats on everything you have achieved - you are dedicated and also helpful, I think you always pick the fruits of your labour when you move through the world with good intentions. You don't gatekeep and inspire passion in others, I really admire how you talked about the money aspect even though that is something vulnerable for most people but I think it's something people should talk more about because creative industries can get really exploitative. I used to work in publishing and it was a struggle out there. I also wanted to ask this: do you think it's possible for someone to get into graphic design by being self taught. I've always had a passion for visual arts but went for a humanities road and studied literature. I wanna merge that with something visual, be it graphic design/3D design but I've been holding myself back because I have this thought that without formal education, it's not possible. Sadly I am not in a position to pursue full time education anymore, can't afford not to work. I wonder what you (and anyone else who might be reading this) might think. Cheers.
Freshly starting out. Any bootcamps you recommend? Or courses? Maybe you have a video that you have created where I can learn. I am in, and would like to start immediately. Thanks!!
I couldn't get many job offers as a graphic designer in the Seattle area.....I don't know if I should keep trying or just quit and try something new. It feels very competitive here.
i like design but i have no idea whether what i do is like how it is in the real world. I just do freelance work for creators (thumbnails, and i make personal posters for myself). i don't know anything really about the type stuff and such so I have no idea if i really do wanna design.
