I have had our Lightning Lariat a little over a year now and there has never been a vehicle that I have owned that puts a smile on my face every time I drive it like the Lightning. I’ve got just over 43,000 on it now and zero issues, fantastic machine!
Canceled my cyber reservation 2 weeks after the delivery event. I felt Tesla didn't deliver what they offered 4 years before on range, price and some design. I bought a lighting 2 months ago. Looks better, same range, lower price. It's a great Truck.
Same with me. In typical Elon fashion, he made a lot of promises and then under delivered. I could have and should have bought a lightning 2 years earlier but waited for the CT. After comparing it and seeing all the reviews (especially the bumper snapping off) I realized it's not for me. Ford's been building trucks for forever and knows what we truck buyers need and want. I don't need the headaches of a company building their first truck on my dime. Got a great deal on a platinum lightning a few month back and absolutely love it and zero issues.
Hey, I just got into my budget. They are down about 30 grand. You can easily get one for 40-45 grand. In fact, I see them for 36 grand used I think somewhere in North Carolina.
I’m going to see if I can find a good deal on the Pro version. This will be my first electric vehicle. Most of my daily driving is in 15 to 20 mile chunks.
That's our experience. Lightning (XLT) was our first ev and we love it. It's big for what we we came from (Tacoma), but extremely comfy ride for the family, and charging at home is amazing. Software is meh, but we usually just use Apple carplay or Android Auto instead. Only regret is not getting extended range, but base battery is absolutely fine for everything we've done (daily driving, visiting family, beach, small boat). Edit: OH! Splurge for the tailgate with the built-in pop-out step!! Not lightning specific, but a glorious accessory that we can't live without anymore
Well, it definitely depends on your use case. If you tow a lot over long distances, this isn't the truck. If you don't tow heavy or far, it's great. If you don't tow and just use as a weekend truck for light duty stuff, I think it's probably the perfect vehicle; provided you can charge at home. If you are limited to public charging, like you live in an apartment or condo, etc, it's certainly not cost effective.

Agreed
I'm with you. I bought the Flash trim about 3 weeks ago. I'm canceling my Cybertruck reservation. I love the Lightning.
I have had my Lightning since ‘22 and no regrets. It is just an awesome vehicle. My only complaint is that it doesn’t have BlueCruise 1.2.
For the past year and a half I've really loved my 2023 F150 Lightning Lariat extended range.
Love mine as well. About to do a video on a few things that could improve, but overall, it's great.

I am not sure about the cybertruck either. The frunk was definitely a let down, in regards to space.

I didn’t hear what range you got! But I think is the extended since battery is half way and had 146 miles left, I’m looking to buy one as we speak!
This one is extended range. Good luck with your purchase.
Great review.
Nice truck, I would get one too if I can afford it. lol

@@TristenHernandez$36k? A Pro trim with 45k+ miles maybe.
Which color is this? Love it
Ford calls it azure grey. Unfortunately, I think it was eliminated as an option for 2024, at least for the lightnings.

Good choice. I got the xlt standard battery, that's all I need for my daily use.
I am considering making the switch just a little chicken right now.

It's seems like now is a great time to switch 1.9% financing, tax rebates, dealership incentives.
@@bryanhaen6750 They are definitely trying to move them.
Is this a lariat?
Yes, Lariat.
@@whateverfits1978thank you. Do you have another video that shares price of this truck?
