Yes, he Ken.
Augusto Luis, Hahaha, Yes I ken 😉
@@kentamplin Thanks, my guy, all the support from Brazil!
Hah nice one
I ken’t
Nice one pun lord xd
You are the Bob Ross of Vocal instruction. This is a complement. I have watched just about all of your videos one sitting. Kind of how I binge watch Bob Ross.
Thanks for the kind words, Fontain!
PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR ---->>. Search UA-cam for "Louder with Crowder Bob Ross".
Hands down... THE FUNNIEST BOB ROSS VIDEOS!!
After 14 months or so, this technique is finally happening automatically. My poor ole worn out throat and neck muscles thank you VERY MUCH!
You're welcome to your throat and neck muscles!
Same here!
0:15 "It's the engine that drives your car.
Without it you really can't go any far." Nice poetry

Read that as he said it 😌
It really depends on the orientation of the local terrain in relation to the vector of the Earth's gravitational attraction.
@@ashscott6068 NERD!
This is actually awesome! I had drama classes at school, and we were taught this style of breathing so we could project our voices better during a play if there were no mics! Listen to this guy, he clearly knows what he's doing!
Lady Gaga's ARTPOP Shiny Blue Ball- Thank you!
Exactly.
Yeah I use this to help give more oomph to my voice acting. The sound comes out significantly richer sound. Looking at the difference when sound editing is like looking at a bologne sandwich compared to a fully loaded sub. Such meaty soundwaves.
I’ve always been confused when people say “you need to sing from the diaphragm” and I’m left saying “ok but what does that even sound like though?”. Thank you so much!
So do you know a little more what they meant now?😊
Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy Yes! I’ve been binge watching all your videos haha
@@janikb3538 now your ready for Glotal compression.👍
I've always had trouble projecting my voice and these are the only lessons that instantly increased my power, this guy is an amazing vocal coach that shows the proof is in the voice.
Thanks for the kind words, carrot st1cks!! 😊
Here is a tutorial on something that will make or break your singing voice! Check this one out, and please be sure to LIKE and SHARE! I look forward to your COMMENTS below. Please let me know what you would like to learn about in future video tutorials!
Yr so humble, an smart. yr awesome bro.
I have a question when it comes to your courses and stuff. For the more expensive ones is there anyway to set up a payment plan. Or do you have to pay up front.
Alex, start with what you can afford. You can always upgrade. kentamplinvocalacademy.com/
Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy Hey ken Im from India and In my country our country music dominates our region in which singers encourage to breath from chest and we got used to it!! When I started to admire Western music and see training videos on breath , I feel lil inconvenient breathing from the diaphragm or the abdomen .Any tips for this?
I have a question, I like to sing but lets face it, I cant sing anything at all haha but my family has no singers at all, how much of this good singing is down to genetics? I doubt I will ever be able to sing because my voice is rubbish, but what I mean is like in athletics, or body building, you cant just take an average guy off the streets and make him break the 100m sprint record, he would have to have the genetics to be good at sprinting, is this the same for singing? Just because my family is rubbish at singing does that mean I will always be rubbish at singing?
This is awesome. I noticed that a lot of my anxiety is "stored" in my shoulders, neck, jaw, and belly. This is a great way to calm down. Ty
my god man, can i just give you a shout out for your dedication to the comments section. Scrolling through, you've replied to almost all, whether they are a couple of years ago, or even a couple of days ago!! I love the fact that you dont just set and forget on these older videos and you continue to go back through these is fantastic!
Ok, now time to get that support going and learn to sing!
I appreciate that, MrKaxid. I do try and I do appreciate everyone that listens, likes, shares and comments. Can't do any of this without you! Rock on!
I have been very impressed by this as well. Such dedication is quite rare and truly appreciated.
this is by far the best & easiest way ive ever heard this explained... thanks Ken!
Cool. I'm glad it helped mikenaugz88!
This is absolutely precise and effective in my voice!! Thanks Ken!! I’ve been sometimes strugglin’ with throat tensions whenever I hit high notes that often leads to cracks or breaks. You’re such a legend Ken. I’m with my vocal coach and this really proved the essence of diaphragmatic support on singing, it helped me release tensions. Thank Ken!! You deserve million likes and subscribers❣️
I'm so glad it helped Will Solace!
Best vocal coach ever i have watched you since i was 17 and you helped me a lot i just pray you with good health and positivity,❤
This is awesome. I have watched about 5 videos now and I am very impressed. That was really the coolest watching Gabriela sing those different songs, do them so so well, hit the notes and make each song her own. Just perfection. y'all just blew me away and even though there weren't any ballads, religious songs or talk of anything goosebump worthy, the way she sang and hit those notes and with such power was absolutely goosebump causing, amazing and just a HUGE, WOW factor. Gotta hit the hay, but I look forward to more videos tomorrow. Thank you Ken for putting out these videos they ought to get more people if nothing else feeling better themselves, singing happy loving and fun walk down memory lane songs......songs like Jerry Reed's, Amos(funny & memory lane)50's. 60's, 70''s & 80's rock and country music one cannot go wrong with most of it, there is some of course, but I just want the uplifting songs, love ballads, , good for health exercise psychology and plain ole happiness!!!!! thank you both for sharing!!!!!!!!
Great tutorial Mr. Tamplin, over the past year i have come across some of your videos and tutorials on youtube and it's refreshing to see an instructor who can walk the walk. keep up the great work, your students will truly benefit.
New subscriber here! Your channel is a literal gold mine...singing has been my one constant passion since I was a little kid. I'm now 24 and the improvement I've made alone was great but a slow process. Just trying out different things to see what worked and what didn't. I can't wait to see how much improvement I can make with your help. Keep the videos coming!
Your demonstration of diaphramatic support was so simple and accurate. I was taught this by someone who studied music at a.conservatory in russia. I was made to lie down and a heavy book placed on my abdomen then I breathed in and out. Diaphramatic support is well exemplified in the singing of the late Pavarotti, Andrea Boticeli(The Prayer). It seems difficult at first but you learn with practice. Just do it even when singing in the shower. The end result is so comfortable, beautiful, joyful, relaxing etc.
This is literally the best breathing video ever for singers :-) I’m so glad I found this while I was practising the warmups
Wow Ken! Thank you so much for your talent and gift. I've found some very good video's that you've put together. I do sing, but never had any vocal training, just learned pretty much on my own for about 25+ years. Your techniques are outstanding. I'm very happy to have found you. Tama
2:00 until 3:00 this is what I mentioned in my other comment. THANK YOU!! That's what I wanted to see, so I could grasp a little bit of your concept of breathing/support in a visual way! Awesome. Once again, thank you a lot, Ken!!
You're welcome, MusicRed!
Thank you for lecturing us.
What a brilliant tutorial! You are indeed one of the best voice coaches on youtube. Your advice has been helping me massively both with my singing and voiceover work. Thank you!
I'm glad the information is helping you, Lilia! 😊
Ken, I have usually not enjoyed voice lessons. But I love the way YOU teach !!
I try to make the lessons interesting, factual, and informative. I give you real information that WILL help you to learn more about how singing REALLY works! Thank you, ANISTAZI!
Ken thank you so much for helping me out with this
Great vid Ken! You're at the top of the vocal coach mountain. What I'm loving about your course is its working, Im impressed with the results and they just keep coming.
In hindsight would've paid more for Kens course ppl, well worth the price... a no brainer, and comparatively, dare I say- a bargain.
I’m impressed that you mention to any who watch ‘If the UA-cam vocal coach can’t do what they ask you to do...’ loose quote but I have seen your ability. I remember Shout I believe this channel has been around for some time.
“Proof is in the singing” is definitely a mantra you back up. I signed up I have to read the email and look forward to learning and having fun as I enjoy singing even at work. 😇
I dont know how it's possible for more than a year of going through numerous vocal technique/training videos, that Im finally just discovering you! ..its a blessed day for sure. Thanks for these priceless videos; your format and presentation is one that flows and for me as im sure for many, makes so much sense. Thanks you for sharing your wisdom. God bless(;
/i\ Shffty, My gosh! Are there THAT MANY singing videos out there that it took you a YEAR to find me? WHOAH! Nobody else is teaching what I teach the way I teach it. I guess most people are going to have to settle for whatever fluff they find. I wonder what it's going to take to really get the word out about how singing really works? It will take you about a year just to watch all of my free videos! 😊
Many youtube videos taught me a lot. Just this year, I learned how to make a soap and I successfully taught it to my students. I also learned how to make perfume and now, I am selling my own-made perfumes. Now, hopefully, I will learn the skill of singing this 2020 successfully, because to be honest, most of my friends here in Philippines can sing well.
Thank goodness for youtube!
This was the most simplest video on diaphragmatic support I seen this far, thx Ken 🙌🏾
Glad it was helpful QLEO!
I discovered u accidently and thank god that i did!U have helped a lot in making my voice sound better because i was straining my voice a lot before. Please never stop uploadig videos like this.
Sneha Alex- Thank you! Keep on singing!
Ken is truly the man! He can teach and demonstrate it himself.
Love this channel! It really helps with giving tips to my own students I voice tutor. Keep up the great content!
Thank you so much for all your help!
Thankyou for making these videos! I'm a girl who loves doo- wop more than anything and singing songs from the 50s and 60s are really high. One of my uncle's who was in a band his friend who was also a singer in the band taught me a little singing from a recorded video she took, and it was hard to breathe when I sang. Reason was I would get light headed and my voice would crack. A lot of my parents friends say that I'm a very good singer and I hate singing in front of people! I started practicing singing at the end of my senior year and am almost 21. I feel like I'm at the studio with you learning right by your side and theses videos have helped me soooo much! One time I almost thought about trying out for American Idol, but chickened out. Thankyou sooooooooo much for making anyone of us feel right at home and for taking the time to teach us how to sing better. Even if it's for fun, like in the car!!!
Olivia Gonzales- Thank you!
Ive been trying to find a vocal coach to thoroughly show how to do this and you did a fantastic job. Helped so much.
I'm glad you learned a few things, milky moo! 😊
Very interesting that you bring the abdominals in, rather than out, while supporting the tone. I've always found that this approach makes the tone more harsh/strident and generally makes it more difficult to dial up the correct breath pressure needed.
You explain things SO well. Thank you so much for your videos! They've been incredibly helpful!
Thanks for your kind words, Cat!
Thank you so much! I have been singing since i was 5 and i am now 16. For many years i have had troubles with staying on key with a song. i have watched many youtube videos, but they never really tell me anything and i end up confused. I can clearly understand what your talking about lol. You know what your doing and i can tell you have been doing music for years. Also thanks for that too. Not many people anymore where i come from really appreciate music much anymore. Its nice to meet musicians who really put time and effort into it.
Kayla Clarke You might consider a comprehensive vocal course. kentamplinvocalacademy.com/
Long time viewer, first time commenter. Yea I have killed my voice just about every day for years. That is, until i discovered Mr. Ken Tamplin. I can truthfully say, after applying the techniques he demonstrates, my singing has gone from damaging and unpredictable to a cleaner and stronger. I have a long way to go yet, but im glad i can count on Ken. When i can, I will definitely be purchasing his course: How to sing better than anyone else!
Wow that's cool!!! I really think I need your course. I am not trained but love to sing. I tried what you said about pulling the diaphragm in and my voice already has better power and control...but a lot more room to grow. Love these videos!!!
Thank you Ken
Oh my gosh!!! Mr. Ken Tamplin, i can sing songs now without hurting my throat, it really works!!!! Love it
Thank you ken tamplin. Im from philippines and i really like your tutorials.
Looking forward to apply these lessons!
Reviewing your videos makes me understand how it works.. Thank you again sir.👍
Ken really shows you what breathing is all about and diaphragmatic singing is in the prof of this clip. I really want to clarify a couple of things though. Not that I am an expert but I have been around. Most vocal coaches stress that you should breath with your tummy but if you do you are mostly inclined to collapse your chest. Ken says to keep your chest partiality expanded while breathing and this is at least the most important lesson. At least for me. No stomach out without a rised chest and comfortably backward lowered shoulders.Ken's video shows what it as about. The proof is in the singing!
TY for demonstrating! Very clear and easy to follow. You are the best!
FL118 L- Very happy to be of help to you! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this! I’ve really always wondered. I have been trying to train myself to breathe better. This will help a lot! I have been binge watching your vids for hours. Fantastic voice and help! Thank you!
Great! Glad you found me!
Can't wait to purchase your lessons!
:-)
Sir , you explain things so well . Thank you so much for the tutorials 🙏🏻

Hi Ken, thank you so much for this video, it really helps me.
Thanks so much and happy new year dear KEN😊
Happy new year!
dearest Ken, when I heard you sing the bad example and that little "swallow" you made it was like the story of my life. I almost shed a tear. thanks for your contribution. If I wasn't already 8k in debt from starting music school again I'd have bought your program already. thanks again.
Actually, doing bad examples of music for other people is one of the hardest things to do when you have spent so much time getting it right. haha. kudos.
this video came at the right time. ive been working on engaging my diaphragm to better my voice
Glad it's helping you!
Thank you for making this easy to understand.
You're welcome, JessM Byer! 😊
Thank ken , you've been a great help

Great video, excellent course and you are such an amazing and personable instructor! Thank you!

I rather talk less and wish I could say anything else that is coming from my heart, but couldn't, because I'm also not a native speaker, because you are indeed one of the coolest, greatest, most credible/efficient teacher I have ever met in the internet!
Thank you, Jared!

Hello from Czech Republic (Gabriela Guncikova´s birth country). Ken you´re amazing, thank you very much, cause you´re really helping me. Now and every day. Every day I warm up my voice with your tutorial or just by myself and strenght of my chest voice grows up. I have a few questions but at first I must go through all your videos and discover if I´m able to find some answers there. However thank you again and good luck in everything you do.
Very helpful, sir.
Thank you so much for your content! You are an amazing help.
You're very welcome!
Thank you.
Strong lesson Ken! Thank you Sir!
Zane - Awesome! I am happy to hear that!
This and head tones (mask) are a must! I continually need to remind myself of this because I don’t sing as often as others. I have a bad habit of singing from my chest which leads to throat which results in exhausting your voice and vocal cords. Great tip singers! Love your tips Ken; much appreciated!
You are awesome! Thanks for this deminstration!
Thanks, PsycheodeliaDelle!
I have been here more than I can count..everytime I watch your video,I discover something new..now I have finally TRULY understand why you always said that "its an engine that drive your car"..thank you ken may God bless you always..

This guy is really helping me out. I'm happy I found him!
Awesome! Happy you found me, too!
@@kentamplin Yeah, you're the legit vocal coach that i also can understand because of your demonstrations.
Hey Ken, solid information and great demonstration! The air support technique appears similar to what pro trumpet players use for higher notes (they call it abdominal compression). I started back on trumpet just over a year ago and with this technique I have played notes higher than I could in college.
After a few minutes experimenting with this, the high end of my vocal comfort zone (right now about D4-F4) has already felt better and stronger. Thanks for the good tip!
I have honestly never understood this until now and I immediately noticed a HUGE difference!
That's great, Heidi!
