- Hey guys!! Today I am going to be talking all about white paint and how to choose the best white paint for your home!! Over the years of being an interior designer I have come to fall in love with a handful of white paint tones. I keep finding myself going back to them in my home and in my client's homes. Everyone's style is just a little different, so you will need to learn what paint speaks to you. My hope with this video is to help you find a little clarity in how to choose white paint and what sets certain paints apart from each other.

One of the most helpful videos for me to make a decision. Very detailed explanation. Just subscribed. What took it up a notch for me was while you were explaining each color, you were actually showing what they look like on walls. Very good video.

Great content..very informative..but something about the lighting or exposure of the videos makes it hard to see the objects in its original saturation in some frames..I rewatch some videos to get more inspiration hence I’m nitpicking 😊 would love to see more on how you incorporate functionality without compromising on style and design!

What color are the cabinets in the laundry room when you talked about the white dove paint? That combo of light gray/white dove is beautiful. I would like to copy that. Love the review. I am looking to use China White in my home because of its versatility. I have a craftsman style home and it has deluxe crown molding. Should I use a different trim? What would you recommend?
When you use the same color for the walls, ceiling and trim, what sheens do you use?
I did eggshell on all of them to keep the cost down in this project but normally I do flat on the ceilings, eggshell walls and satin on trim.
I really like BM sea pearl as a nice saturated white that isn’t yellow under toned

I’m using White Dove for my Kitchen cabinets what trim color should I use…Chantilly Lace?
I’m also using Super White flat for my ceilings.
No Sherwin Williams colors?
Super helpful as that will be a big decision in a month or two when we get drywall in place. Our floors are a white oak driftwood color and we want all the walls to be white with nickel gap on the ceiling in the main living space. Fingers crossed we will find one that will work as I know it is so hard to find the perfect white.

Very informative video you got here. I decided to go for white dove (egg shell) for my basement wall. I just dont know what will go nice for the trim? Should I stick to white dove (semi gloss) for trim? Appreciate your input. Thanks

Thanks for the tips. Sounds like china white is a good choice for me. My walls are Revere Pewter, and I'm planning in painting my MB white. If I use China White on the walls, do I use the same color on the trim but in a different finish?

Hi there! With the trim I would say if you want a more traditional look, you could go with the Benjamin Moore super white paint for trim color, or if you want a more simple/organic/modern type look then I’d do the trim same color as walls. With our remodel home I actually did the trim & the walls both in the eggshell finish and have been happy with it. If I do a different color trim I usually use satin trim and eggshell for walls

I am trying to pick a white that will go with my white cabinets and white quartz countertops with gray flecks in it. My furniture is a blue gray as well as the rug with different grays and blues. I currently have a blue gray paint with an lrv of 66 and it looks very dark and very blue. I feel like when I walk into my home my walls, rug and furniture all run together. I am really wanting to lighten everything up. What white would you recommend with the cool tones in my countertops and furniture? Thank you so much

What white paint color would you recommend I use to go with revere pewter? I did a picture frame wall look in my office and I wanted to paint that wall something different then the surrounding 3 walls that are in revere pewter. Please help 😊 I want the “white” wall look.

You reccomend matte or satin for walls. There is no eggshell in the paint I’m looking at. Emerald

What white would you recommend for northern facing rooms?Trying to brighten up our living room as it doesn't get much light.
I would try White Dove or Simply White, both by Benjamin Moore. They’re brighter tones but still have a little warmth.

My home is Aesthetic White by SW.... a very subtle greige can lean a subtle, but not creamy off white and also in some times of day can be an extremely subtle warmer gray.... all trim is pure white and I am in a HUGE quandary as I do want a warmer white kitchen cabinetry (going to have my wood cabinets and island painted) and this is tough and I don't want a blue nor green nor pink undertone and want to lean greige/white, but with the aesthetic white I'm concerned..... I feel the cabinets need to be a hint darker... yet I still want them light in color as the home is minimalistic and open. Any ideas what I can try??? Wish we had a FB store and we don't!!!! So BM or ?

@@gigijenn225 Hi, In the process right now... I went with the same color as the walls... it's an open area to the family room and eat in kitchen. I read numerous articles and it seems as some did the whole area in one white tone so it, "flowed". I have all white/white trim/crown, etc......I ended up doing that vs. making a huge mistake. Colors I seriously considered though were Benjamin White Dove and Benjamin Simply white if you want to google them and see... they don't appear to (from my experience testing them) pull any crazy other colors like pink, blue or green. I love Aesthetic White due to the tiny hint of gray in some lighting... and it's very, very minor and doesn't show up at all on some walls due to outdoor light being less.

White Dove turned contractors primer GRAYISH on my open space high ceilings south facing interior. Awful flat white. Don’t see why people like it
