Driving all the way from the suburbs to the inner city in order to make a profit of all of the little black and brown(Hispanic) homies robbing and killing each other off by using the guns which he sold to them in the first place. Who needs people like that setting foot within the hood in order to contribute to the urban blight. One of the best movies out there! A lot of talent in this movie. This movie hits hard, a young man almost forced to play the streets to help his girl out, but being a snitch in the hood is a dangerous game. The 90’s had the best hood movies. I think all the scenarios and stories have been done and there’s no more good stories to be told.
I hear you!! I also think that the people making big movies aren't creative. They just look for what sells, they look for the numbers but it's about art. Big up all the "small" movies, directors, writers, producers, editors and actresses and actors that use passion to create. I find these times were very experimental and filled with artistic desire. That's why they were so good, now it's like people can't be bothered. It's ridiculous.

I'm just seeing this movie in 2022 for the first time. I remember when it came out. Neither the less; it enough to bring tears to my eyes to know it's still relevant to where I live. I don't know if the world will ever care, but I know that 'we' must.
The love we have for our queen makes us do things we normally wouldn't do. To every king watching this please get off the streets and raise your families as a real man should. Love her with all your heart mind, body and soul. And ladies if you have a good man please know that he'll go to the end of the world for you and his kids. So don't tease him about being a real man when you're mad at him. Remember that this man will lay down his own life for his family. If you have such a bond together than make sure he's not in the streets. Make sure you stand by him when times are hard. We hurt just like you but show it differently. Most of us cry in the dark to keep you from worrying about things we're supposed to handle. Remember that before saying harsh things to us. Just be loyal and love one another. Let know one come between you. Stay safe and free.....because We all fear the police coming to our doors telling us our love one is not coming home. Love and honor one another and raise your kids right... Black Rose
Jewels to live by. Diamond and emerald are for the heart where the true riches are stored. You almost figure out the jigsaw puzzle the words of love are the riches we seek that why Jesus is the word. Words are the riches when apply with a pure heart. Don't lose focus. Cause you right. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I SEE YOU

THAITANproduction Yeah the prices on those Neo Geo Gold consoles back then were prohibitively expensive, along with the newly released cartridge games that were $299 - $399 . Only rich kids, drug dealers, and single adults working full time + overtime could afford to collect those. :/

Imagine Bokeem Woodbine doing voice acting for GTA 6 (Vice City) visiting Disneyland and alligators.
Thanks for uploading this. I watched this as a teen a dozen times.
praise the Lord! A good hood&soul movie from Sir Whitaker! Thanks for the sweet upload, ONE LOVE!
Shit was real back then
Everyone was original
shit still real just depends on where you at and your situation...the hood don't ever change unfortuantly
PLR 88 looked like everyone had the same bald head, style of clothes, same slang, etc. Didn’t see no damn individual originality. Things are a lot less narrow minded today

Woodbine's walk was straight up old school hard core
I'm just seeing this movie in 2022 for the first time. I remember when it came out. Neither the less; it enough to bring tears to my eyes to know it's still relevant to where I live. I don't know if the world will ever care, but I know that 'we' must.
Woodbine such an underrated actor !!!
Facts. Always sold his role. Always!
I knew when I seen Jason's Lyric as a teen that Bookeem was an excellent actor.
Facts! Him and Glynn Truman.
Bookem got one of the coolest walks 😂😂😂
It’s a true gangster walk!!
I remember seeing this when I was like 12 in 96. This movie still holds up even today and doesn't come off corny now like some of the 90s movies.
The 90s movies are tha best ever made and the 00s are great
I watched this as a 13 year old. . Always stuck with me.. Great film.

The love we have for our
queen makes us do things
we normally wouldn't do.
To every king watching
this please get off the
streets and raise your
families as a real man
should.
Love her with all your heart
mind,body and soul.
And ladies if you have a
good man please know that
he'll go to the end of the world
for you and his kids.
So don't tease him about being
a real man when you're mad at
him.
Remember that this man will
lay down his own life for his
family.
If you have such a bond together
than make sure he's not in the
streets.
Make sure you stand by him
when times are hard.
We hurt just like you but show it
differently.
Most of us cry in the dark to
keep you from worrying about
things we're supposed to handle.
Remember that before saying
harsh things to us.
Just be loyal and love one another.
Let know one come between you.
Stay safe and free.....because
We all fear the police coming to our
doors telling us our love one is not
coming home.
Love and honor one another and
raise your kids right...

Exactly
The cop at at least went to bat for dude at the DA office but he wouldn't budge. However, if you don't do stupid shxt you won't have to worry about these kinda problems. We all have to make better choices.

@@jjjordan3881 Its typical of a woman acting dumb trying to get her own way untill you call her bluff and happily walk out then she realises she fd up and starts backtracking. Just like when a girl tells you its over and your like ok bye!! she then starts asking why your not bothered and how comes its so easy for you.
That ain’t the same sandwich!
Forest Whitaker did an amazing job on this movie I never knew he directed this movie until now.
I hate they don’t make movies like this anymore! Never gets old !
Ain’t no way they can do this today. And even tho a movie like this can’t be ‘woke’ ; they’d do it

Dudes were playing on a Neo Geo at home in '92....baller status.
Yea man weren't those neo geos like $700 at those times
THAITANproduction Yeah the prices on those Neo Geo Gold consoles back then were prohibitively expensive, along with the newly released cartridge games that were $299 - $399 . Only rich kids, drug dealers, and single adults working full time + overtime could afford to collect those. :/
BBGRed20
Yea $700 + 300 for each game sounds about right. I would always see it in the video game magazines where yo u can order from the back. NeoGeo could have probably been more successful if they didn't charge and arm and a leg. Most of their games can be played at the arcade anyways.
THAITANproduction
Or on a emu for free.
Giraux I member my OG had a Neo Geo at one of his cribs. My nigga that shit was soooo much bread. Games were like 2-300
