I watched this again, lived through it. A lot of Rappers and Sports figures called him a " Sell Out" back in the day. But in reality he paved the way for All of them. They are reaping the rewards from what he did. Everyone from Ice Cube to ASAP Rocky! He was a " Liason" a bridge. But they " Clowned" him. If it was not for him alot of people wouldn't have crossed over and gotten recognition. He is a Living Legend!😘. The things he was " Clowned" for. Rappers are doing it everyday now. Look at Snoop. On a show and making commercials with Martha Stewart. A Woman wouldn't even do this But Yet, they Clowned MC Hammer😒😒😒. He had a cartoon, commercial, and clothing line. He is a Living Legend!
The movie was inspirational! I am grateful the world now know Honorable MC Hammers story. I had joy and tears in my heart and eyes. He touched many souls, but glad he put rapping behind to return to the ministry where needed. I'm a large fan of Mr. Hammer. So much dancing energy, creative skills which were so positive and clean. May God continue to bless him and family and keep them safe. He never forgot his people to which he shared his wealth with. He will always be remembered in life. What a fantastic human being with love for humanity and his family. Thank you for this production. Peace and Love!

ON Ice T's album OG-original ganagsta which had the track New Jack Hustler and the movie New Jack city had just come out too. Ice T was at the top of his game. On that Album I referenced at the end Ice T is giving shots out he specifically gave big props to MC Hammer for taking rap to the highest level. I always remember that when groups like 3rd Base started dissing Hammer.

Hammer was (and still is) a true Hip-Hop legend in my book. He gave people from his hometown opportunities to perform and tour with him, gave his all and tried to give the world a great show when performing, and recorded great, POSITIVE music! 👍🙌💯

To me they were quite similar in personality i can see how they could have been close being both community minded and came from very humble beginnings coming out of the Oakland area where Tupac significant time there and Rapped Oakland hard, I'm pretty sure they knew the same ppl. He was a little older than Pac by a few years and probably saw a young version of himself in Pac.(like this is not who you are going back to your roots type shit) I could only imagine how deep their conversations went. Wish I was a fly on the wall to witnessed those good builds.

If you weren't blessed enough to see this man in concert...you missed a special moment, I promise! I was 12 when 2 Legit came out and I saw him while he was touring. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING SHOW!! I still say it's the best concert I've ever seen! Of course being a child at the time I hadn't a clue all this happened. I just knew he went bankrupt, not why. He was genuinely a good guy! He was just trying to feed his employees/half the community because he definitely hired everyone he knew! Thanks for the upload! I enjoyed this. 😉

Taxes, that's how. The government gets a large portion of your paycheck, the more you make the more they take. If you don't have someone around you that knows about finances you're screwed
The more you make the more they take doesn't necessarily apply to all when you see multi millionaires & billionaires only paying 8% tax and people making a lot less money pay over twice that much.
The thing is you can't spend more than you are making and expect your wealth to grow.

I really enjoyed this movie ... again!!! I hate when people try and make fun of him. He went wrong trying to employ his whole neighborhood and beyond. I think he’s a hero of sorts. Last I heard is that he was investing in tech companies in Silicon Valley. I wish him the absolute best along with his wife and their children.
You can say what you want but he was that dude. He is hip hop. The songs, dances, clothes, and hair he was a whole 90's vibes. Give that man his flowers he opened plenty of doors.

Mc Hammer is a great man I met him once he's a down to earth talented man. Who helped PAC get ready for his wings. The actor who played him did a wonderful job.
Seen Hammer in concert, but didn't have the pleasure of meeting him. Maybe one day I hope. And you're right, Lamont Bently was very talented and did Pac justice on this movie. I remember him from the TV show Moesha. He died a few years after this movie came out. RIP Lamont and 2Pac.🙏🙏

My Lil cousin won a dance contest or dance-off in Dallas and became part of his dance crew. She remarks how he and his wife looked out for her and her child. In my opinion, Hammer’s music was right up there with Big Daddy Kane’s music. They both were DOPE.
I never knew Hammer signed with Deathrow Records, which makes a lot of sense now as to the reason why his music started to change from good ol’ rap music to him rapping about “girls in pumps.”
I also think that Hammer lacked a lot of knowledge when it came to the business side of the industry, which is why he went bankrupt so fast, as well as him wanting to live a lavish lifestyle. However, when it was all said and done, he realized where his place was- in the presence of the Lord, and not in the music industry.
