Great video! I just wanted to point out something Alison said about the second submission - “because it’s not highly attracted to a magnet, it must be a chondrite, right?” but we know some HEDs, Lunars and other meteorite types that are not highly attracted to a magnet, are not chondrites.
I don’t mean to be picky and I know chondrites are the most common type found, but as your channel is such a great source for education - someone might come away from that comment with the wrong idea.
I appreciate your feedback. It is impossible to cover every conceivable fact in a 40 minute video.
@@TopherspinMeteorites Of course! Understood.
Great job of pointing out important features. Very strong analysis by the crew!
Thanks very much
Isso mesmo 👏🏻
@@patbrown2227 hi
Hi
Great video as always! I love the knowledge you and your crew share through all the videos with scientific facts and details.
Your channel is a Meteorite Identification Course, indeed! 😊
Thank you! 👍 This made me very happy.
All right so I did not catch the live but I am absolutely loving all of this I got quite a few rocks I just don't know what it is I have a good idea and you guys are really helping me pinpoint different flaws in the stone to help me figure out what it is I wish we could take pictures and send pictures of it just because I have a stone just like this exactly like this it's crazy and now I know it's not a meeting right I always say that I thought it was I immediately said granite just like you guys did but still love it keep up the good work guys and girls
Thanks for this great feedback! Our goal is to help educate people so they can tell the meteorite and the meteor wrong from each other.
Thank you, my friend, for this video. I have a gray stone for Nazik Qamari in Brescia, but I could not confirm that. Is there any information? I am from Mauritania.
I hope my many videos help
@@user-bv4ed7ie4v I have same stone do you want to see

I sure love these rock ID videos you been doing. Very interesting and entertaining!
Glad you like them! We are planning on recording then the 3rd Wednesday each month and having them edited and up by the end of each month.
You and group are nice to us hunters. Thanks! Great info😊
Thanks 👍
OK, who the heck are these specialists geeks??!! I have an Agua Zarcos I found in my front yard 2 years ago,in NW AZ, then recently a few were found in the Bahamas too! I've got a couple dozen blue beauties not just my 2 pounder...been doing this a long time
These specialist geeks that you're talking about are internationally respected experts. Unlike you, we know what we're talking about. There is no way to find a Costa Rican meteorite in your Arizona backyard. Sorry, you're just wrong. So I'd prefer if you would refrain from insulting us, especially when you clearly don't know what you're talking about.
I have a personal problem with Bobby Haag, & Rock'n gem...I have pictures of some of my meteorites on the Meteorite Museum website too..my Agua Zarcos meteorites I found 8 years B4 one crashed into a doghouse in the Bahamas, I'm thinking it's orbit wasn't as close as mine...Agua Zarcos means Water & Forgotten Name, they are Beautiful too. Oh, I do know what I'm talking abo😢 sir...I even have ET fossils that you Don't need microscopes to see like Orthoporoxinites do. I sent a letter to Dr. Robert Hoover in Cincinnati to show some of them but my letter was returned by the college a few years ago B4 he got it...I am able to go into the field & find complete Falls always, not just Finds
If you have personal issues with other people, perhaps you shouldn't publish them on my UA-cam page for all to see. That's kind of weird. Also this other doctor you're talking about in Cincinnati, I have no idea who that is. Either way, nothing you have to say has anything to do with the video that I work so hard on. If you have a question or a comment about the video I produced here is the form. If you want to go on hypothetically talking about some mud ball you found in your yard that you think is a meteorite, that is for some other platform. I do that on Patreon.
Also, let me get this right your claim to fame is you wrote a letter to a famous scientist that no one knows and it was returned to you unread? Impressive!
I'm not putting down your site, I don't believe those were meteorites either. Dr. Robert Hoover discovered Life off world working for NASA, bacteria. I'm Not trying to get famous, all my pics are as Anonymous... it's just hard to tell by pics as you well know sir. Bobby Haag is in charge of MSS in Tucson & I have people in & around town to bring the is specimens to me to check meteorite or metewrong. No disrespect to you nor your site, but is there a way we can make contact on email or something? I just have a problem with authority figures. I had Tucson check 1 they called Bitnium before they knew about CAIs. I'd really like to show you some that Richard Norton didn't have the chance to decipher the taxonomy of. If it's cool with you. I didn't treat you with any disrespect like you do me...just let me know
Thanks but not interested in working with you at all
Could contact you
You can ask your question about the video right here.
@@TopherspinMeteorites Thank you very much for the response. I own a stone that could be a lunar breccia. How can I be sure of that, knowing that the stone weighs 11 kilograms? Can I contact you, my brother?
You need to pay for a membership on Patreon in order for me to look at your sample. Google Patreon Topherspin.

Go to my Patreon page. Watch the entire video for full details. Did you even watch the whole video before asking for my help?
@@TopherspinMeteorites yes I did.
Cool. So you have the answer to how to pay me for my rock identification services. See you on Patreon.
@@TopherspinMeteorites then I do believe that I have 3 meteorites, they all three have passed each one of your “tests”
See you on Patreon
hi Topher and crew. Thanks f
or the logical and detailed explanation. its a nice feeling to think that you have meteorites but its nicer to know sure and why. and so its better to know when its not .from scientists you dont get this quantity of knowledge.
step by step its going on. , the next stone is following . one question: i have seen in some meteorites vesicles ,not much but there are some. is there a rule when they appear?
Thanks so much for the great feedback. Yes you are correct The crude does a great job helping on these rock identifications. Vesicles in meteorites usually only appear in melts and in very fresh fusion crust.

@@TopherspinMeteorites
Haven't seen it before. I want to send you some pictures
@@TopherspinMeteorites I own a very rare meteorite
I am not interested in rocks that you might have found. Did you have a comment or a question about the video I worked very hard on?
two of the three are infact meteorites.i suggest people get them tested.because metalic glass and fused meteorites are totally different then regular meteorites.the metal in them is magnetically weak and they weigh 10 percent less then a regular iron meteorite.and this is fact you can not tell by looking at a picture how much the sample weighs how magnetic it is every thing the rock is composed of and you cant tell weather the structure inside is crystaline or non crystaline.and if you dont know what crystaline and non crystaline structure is look it up.
You are 100% wrong. This is not accurate information and I want my viewers to ignore it.
my question is what happens if you people on here say it isnt a meteorite.and the person takes it and has it tested and finds out it is a meteorite.would that make people meteor dumb?
Test us and find out. But starting a conversation by insinuating that we are dumb is not the way to have an adult conversation. If you'd like to start over please do so.
Actually don't start over with me. If you want me to look at your rock pay $25 and sign up on Patreon like everyone else.
👍💯
Thanks
it's not a meteorite - it's fossilized dinosaur poop... because it's brown)
I agree with half of that.
Hello from navy mick. Trying to get help with photos to upload. I’ve a certified ch5 done last year in Canada. Want to sell some but I’m a new seller with no experience. My metiorites is at Monash university in Victoria Australia. It’s a 35 pound one. From vesta. Hope to get the help soon as my times running out. Need to get yous the Chiness collection I gathered when show first started. Got over /50. Keep you busy. I know some have been shown to me wrong. But my big ch5 is perfect. Told. A once in life time funded on ebey. Chona wouldn’t sell to the west back then. But they sold me everything I wanted. Navy mick down under.
Did you have a question or a comment about this video I work so hard on? It would be absolutely rude for you to come here and just try to sell your rocks and ignore my video wouldn't it?
I have a stone can test it
Go for it
