The "Jill Sandwich" intro is icing on the cake!
If I ever own a sandwich shop I'm definitely going to have a sandwich named that. It will have Salami, Tomato, Avacado, Ranch and Swiss. S.T.A.R.S.
It's a minor thing, but I appreciate that the story scenes have been altered to fit with Barry's role in the plot.
Same here although if some happened in different rooms that'd be even better.
You know when I heard the term stay frosty as a kid...I thought they would have the Frosty from Wendy's so now I just picture Barry with a Frosty.

Bawk literally uses all the ammo in the new col python he gets and then claims the game ate his bullets...

DUMDUM rounds were supposed to be in the final game but developers decided to take them out. They were intended to be expanding rounds (similar to a jacketed hollow points) that are strong on zombies but not on certain enemies such as hunters and some bosses. So the idea would be players would switch standard magnum rounds for DUMDUM rounds depending on the enemy but they were never implemented in the final version. When the game came out "hollow points" were seen as evil due to some shootings so I assume they called them DUMDUM rounds in reference to a Indian providence (where soldiers cut the tip off of full metal jacket rounds, causing the lead inner core to slightly expand) and to avoid the words "hollow point".

Resident Evil but zombies ruins my expensive boots
It's nice to see that even if Capcom completely abandoned this style, modders and gamers are the ones keeping the legit RE's survival-horror alive.
they could have stuck with this and found new ways to innovate within this style and then done an off shoot with RE4 and still been just as successful.

@@fistoftulkas7335 Also there is one aspect of RE4 I find 100% unforgiveable: Quick Time Events they have no place in survival horror.

Man, Bawk plays these mods SO well!
I won't say who, but I was watching other people play this mod and the "Marvin hell" mod. And the other players literally resort to infinite ammo, and sometimes even use infinite HEALTH.
The thing with infinite ammo is players can still die since they have finite health (usually 5-7 hits). But with infinite health, players put the challenge straight to 0. There is literally no point in watching someone who uses infinite health especially.
Bawk, on the other hand, doesn't even use any cheats! Yes, Bawk is using the knife glitch, but thats ok, its not infinite health and the knife never runs out of durability (unless you are playing RE2 remake where knives have finite durability). He also uses trial and error (and uses his intelligence) to beat the game!

Yep, RE1 zombies are the creepiest ones. RE3 Nemesis has some good ones too, while RE2 has the less scary ones.

When they started talking about the zombie moans I was so happy... the remakes RUINED the zombies; Hollywoodized the crap out of them and made them loud and obnoxious.
Absolutely agree, couldn't stand those screams and roars, just ridiculous. These original zombies are the scariest.
That long, lone moan always gave me heebie jeebies. Still does to this day. Screeches and snarls belong to Alien movies, not RE game. 😬

In the original build of the game the dum dum bullets were intended for the magnum, and the standard rounds would have to be empty before loading the dum dums as denoted by the different color ammo counter.

@Tofu absolutely. But re2 remake was decent, and re3 remake sucked. However the original games, as in 1,2, and 3 from the late 90s were significantly superior games. I only mention this in comments because it’s how the streamer also feels.
@Tofu I don’t know why you’re so upset about how I, AND also bawk feel about these recent resident evil games. It’s just an opinion...albeit an opinion that’s shared with 80% of the resident evil community, it’s still just a comment.
@Tofu I also tend to agree with you. It was a good game in its own right but it didn’t live up to the past games in terms of content. They could have had so much more content!! Mercenaries, unlockables, costumes etc. I apologize for also getting defensive about it. Us dedicated resident evil fans and players should not be feeling any negative type of way at each other.

Well, in reality the GL is useless against crows on the balcony. I mean, you could twat the birds with it but unloading a grenade would blow yourself up.

Hey bawk, if this mod is like the real deal then you can get to the snake room from start of game and it won't be locked. It is timed though so you can't waste time.

Which button do you have to press to access the debug menu? And this mod really had you at the edge all the time. Getting to the final bus on danger and always running super low on ammewnition!

never knew there was a strat to pause directly after swiping the knife, does it reset the enemies movements and delay their attacks?
It resets your movements/cancels the animation, while the enemy is still doing their hurt animation. so basically you can knife, pause, and run by. I'm pretty sure it's a big part of the speedrun :P

@@starman5901 I'm not sure. I tried it on Deadly Silence and it didn't work, and I don't think it works on original Resident Evil 2. Those are the only games I tried it on. Bawk explains how to do it in the other Barry's Mod video on his channel if you wanna know how to do it in RE 1. I also don't know if it's a PC only strat or if it can be done on console.
