People like the Prinsu roof racks. I lean towards the minimalist modular systems. Too bad I haven't found the prinsu style for the extended cab version.
I was not going to put running boards on my new Tacoma 2023 TRD SPORT but those running boards are the best I have seen. Great video. I have been a wood worker for over 40 years.
@@jacobhenrytacoma From what I have seen the hardest part is cutting a straight line for the new bumper to fit. But it looks great. I also bought a light bar to go behind it. RobMotive has a great video on it. Others have good vids as well. It’s a little more aggressive without going overboard.
its refreshing to see these type of products out there, I haven't seen much creativity lately for taco products and accessories so this is awesome man, thanks for sharing Jacob!
I bought the running boards and since moved. Lost the install instructions and some of the pieces are jumbled into big zip locks losing their "place" designation. Can you do a close up of the running boards just for where the pieces go? Trying to figure it out through pictures
Hey Justin, email me at jacobhenrytacoma@gmail.com I can send you the close up pictures of where everything goes to install the running boards. I can also email you my number so you need to FaceTime me and I can help you out that way as well.
For cheaper lights I highly recommend Nilight. Super bright lights at the fraction of the cost. They even sell harnesses too for a more plug and play installation. I got a 32” 3 row lightbar, wiring harness, and mounting hardware to clamp it to my roof rack all for $100 or so
@@2018LexusGSF ya the two small hood lights I have on my truck are actually Nilight. Looks like Nilight needs to reach out to me and get me some lights haha 😂
Looking for a running board that lights the steps at night. Also, that bedliner not held down by anything might just fly into the road behind you during certain wind conditions.
Years ago I bought floor liners from weathertech for my car. I decided to go cheaper with the oedro floor mats for my wife's car and I loved hers more. I only buy floor mats from them now
Ok, like the products, and I'd agree, they are in the category of "game-changing". The running boards are awesome, really. Bed liner is probably the weakest of the 4, but still would do the job nicely. That cover is really, really nice and almost makes me feel bad about trading in my pickup for a 4Runner lol. The light bar looks cool and provides a lot of light, but I don't think anyone would recommend magnet mounts; the moment someone noticed it was not a permanent mount, the lightbar would be gone. Great video, I'm going to save it to my playlist for future reference.
I like the running boards the best, especially with the 3 rd step. Also you mentioned woodworking, that would be good to watch, even if you made another channel just for that.
I think the running boards look awesome. That is the only thing in the video I been thinking about adding to my truck. I already have the Toyota bed mat and a hard tonneau cover by Lomax I really like. Most of that stuff I got shortly after getting my truck in July 2020. Those items have been holding up well too. The oem mat seems like it covers the bed well but yours add a bit of an extra lip around the sides.
8:03pm hey I just looked up the tonneau cover w light bar strip for my 2023 Tacoma trd sport 4x4 and it took me to Amazon who said it didn’t fit my truck and wasn’t currently available and didn’t know when could you recommend someone who does have it
Love the steps I’m not to sure that bed liner will stay in driving down the road ✅ Not to sure on the other things. Would like a grill for front of my truck 💕🥳
Hey man, when it comes to a roof rack, get a Sherpa Grand Teton! Best rack on the market, it also needs no silicone to seal it to the roof. Check them out!
Its a bed mat. Not much gets under my stock tacoma mat. I don't see the purpose of the flared Oedro in the bed. In the interior, sure. The curled edges will allow way more stuff to get under it. Both this mat, as well as the oem mat are not hard to move, so I don't know what you would gain by using the Oedro. Plus it looks hideous. Definitely made in China.
I KNOW!!! I was hoping everyone would like me to start a woodworking UA-cam channel. I’m happy you said something and I’ll definitely start one just for you 😆
Prinsu is fantastic . That’s what I have … two other nice ones are made by Front Runner and another is the slim line made by shepra. You’ll need to relocate your light bar though as the racks use the mounting holes up on the roof
Need those steps to replace my predator steps and that tonneau cover to replace my soft tonneau cover! Make a video on how to install that tonneau cover! May need it for the future
That bed mat seems to suffer what a lot of Chinese mod makers for Tacoma suffer from. The dimensions look very slightly off so it's not a perfect fit. That bed mat was touching both sides and one side was still slightly lifted upwards. This means that bed mat will always have a tendency to curve up at the edges which would drive me crazy. I'd suggest going to the official Toyota TRD bed mat which is a much better bed mat. It's a thicker rubber instead of plastic which gives it more of a soft touch feel as well. That bed mat reminds me so much of the weather tech floor mats which I replaced with OEM TRD mats because of this very same issue got annoying really quickly. Their molds are just so slightly off and the result is annoying. So what these companies do is that since they're made in China, they just purchase some parts, make a mold of them and sell their parts based on what they molded from. The issue with this is, when you make a mold for an exterior part, you have to slightly adjust the mold for the material that you'll be molding. If they have a slight tendency to expand, then the mold needs to be adjusted slightly smaller to prevent the output product from being slightly too big. These companies don't do this and the result is an end product that's ever so slightly too large.
The bed mat was just pulled out of the box and after a few days it will relax and fit much better, especially if it's really warm out. Also, the design of the mat is intended to have a lip that extends upward along the beds edge.
@@guymichaels3233 If you actually look at the video, the mat ends are already touching both sides of the bed already and that's why it's not laying flat. I have floor mats for the Tacoma that's the same way in that it's dimensions are slightly off which causes the edges to roll inward in front of the gas pedal so those got tossed for real TRD mats.
Interesting accessories with some different capabilities. I wouldn't mind a bit of info as to how the bed cover is wired into the truck, for my part I'm very particular about anything that taps into my truck's electrical. Thanks for the vid.

I prefer the Raptor Series running boards sold through Summit Racing. I also prefer the Toyota Tacoma bed mat, it looks to be superior to the one you just put in plus the bed mat you installed looks to interfere with the compartment door on the right side. . For a tonneau cover I prefer the BakFlip MX4 I don't want wiring in my tonneau cover that can wear over time of opening and closing the cover and causing a short. I would pass on all those products. The roof light and even the cowl lights are for trail/off road use only to many people install those lights and run them on the road blinding other drivers.
It's a double cab short bed. It's hard for paper towels to fly out of that bed. You will have nothing to worry about. Now if you have the long bed, that's a different story, as way more air will flow into the back, and your concern would definitely be valid.
