Nice flight with the Moustache and subsequent crash of a beginner at the end.

- Everything is fine with the injured person, he is scared but everything else remained whole

I liked when you went forward and landed, how much energy the wing still had, amazing!
The swoop is really from another star...I didn't get the smile out of my face
His wing was too big for the conditions for a beginner. He never had enough control. No matter the wash he would have been blown back. Nice day, I know why he wanted the try. The moustache looks fun !
Yes, it's really fun, but you have to get used to the fact that you always have your hands on the brakelines ;)
@@Flyingtreecould you have flown this more slow? Or would that immediately make you fly higher? Looks very fast.
@@Saxofaxo Yes, he is fast, but you can also fly more slowly. But then a larger size is recommended. But soon a new wing of Little Cloud will come out, I'm curious 🥳
@@Flyingtreegreat, thanks for responding. Will check out the new wing. I guess, with 75kg tow, I would not fly the 18m moustache above 30 kmh as a beginner. Below that, it should be fine. Wanna use it for low wind days. Otherwise I will be kitesurfing. Also will check out Denmark, once I got the Mo. They have these flat dunes, which makes learning much more safe imo.
@@Flyingtreeyou know the name of the new wing? I checked them out, the Puffin should be their soaring wing. Seems a bit more calm than the moustache. And 500€ cheaper.
Nice! What do you think the winds were and your weight?
between 40-60 🤔the wing has an unbelievable range of speed 😁
Love your videos Danielle and yeah I mean hopefully you make some money too but yeah I love flying too it's crazy adrenaline
Thank you. Next year I have planned two three great flights through the Alps and hope I can deliver more movies;) The money is not so important to me I have a tree care company that runs great. And 5 children who keep me on my toes;)
Nice soaring................new sub!
Thx ;) that was my first flight, but you get used to it quickly
What was the rookie doing trying to get up in those conditions? Hope he's okay .
Another said it was his fifth day. In Holland, there is no obligation for a course
@@Flyingtree so case of more confidence than competence then.
@@ThomasDoubting5 Of course, there are also very great pilots because they invest a lot of time. But many made mistakes that would have been easy to prevent 🫣
@@Flyingtree that's the human condition in a nutshell , to be competent we have to first be something of an idiot and hope that our mistakes don't kill us in the process lol.
@@ThomasDoubting5 my life story. When I was young I was never afraid and always lucky...happy are the ignorant ;)
Where is this place? Looks nice

Ouch! I though you were going to crash. Well obviously the other guy didn't have a speed bar built in hehe. That's a great advantage! Poor bugger probably didn't know about the moustache's superior ability in these conditions. I wouldn't have done in those conditions. Hope he wasn't too busted up
Yes, I've had a few hard landings too. to say that paragliding is not dangerous is simply a lie. But I'm glad that I made a shool and got a basic idea of flying. He was fine, at least he was spotted at the bar
@@Flyingtreethat day looked pretty windy. I see a windsurfer gliding in the water. 5 bft or more?
@Saxofaxo I don't have much idea about Bofot:-/ But the peaks were slightly over 60km/h. This night we are driving through the night and hope to be back in Holland tomorrow Saturday. Wind seems to be top
@@Flyingtreeyeah, that is a lot, even for a moustache. The gusts can get pretty gnarly at those windspeeds. No room for mistakes.
How big wars the size of the Susi ? Did he few accelerated?
14 q I think
I think he had size 14 square
What size wing and your weight ?
18q 97kg :)
Looks painful, was he okay? 😳
Not at first but he only had bruises but the angle with which he hit was not great
@@Flyingtree oh sorry to hear that!
Did you happen to face thermals on it? Can it handle them near mountains?
No, I think I would never do that. The paraglider already feels more dangerous than my d wing. And the fact that you have high control forces would be very unpleasant for long one-sided circles.
On the Moustache website it says that it is not made for thermals
@@gkaarobert Oh really??? That's not good, missed that. Damn!
Opps..those brocollits got bigger as you approaching 😂
Whew. Now thats some wind!
The gusts were briefly over 50 km/h, was really great🤩
Good stuff, I'm sticking with my Ozone Rapidos 8m for now. Thanks for posting.
Yes, I have a Rapido 11 square metres with my weight I would not end up on my legs with your size. And plastic surgery...I don't know if that's a good idea😅😂
@@Flyingtree Here in Arizona I use mine at base jump sites... Get it over my head and go from point A to point B... Works very well in Hawaii with the winds they've got there. Thanks for taking the time to respond...
@@dwightbernhimer6734 I have 5 children that made me more careful...not always but most of the time. Would love to fly wing suit but is just too dangerous ;)
@@Flyingtree At my age I just have to worry about my Two grandchildren LOL Don't fly that much anymore... Too old to hike LOL.
@@dwightbernhimer6734 Respect, that's a fast wing, you have to be ready…but nice 😁👍
Looks easy with the Moustache, but I think that you will have to be very experienced with this strong wind, too.
No, that was my first flight with it he finds himself super pleasant and irons gusts tips extremely well away. The only thing is it is difficult to release the brakes on long flights, then he simply goes full throttle
@@Flyingtree Thanks for your comment. Will you only fly it at coasts (soaring) or even in free flights?
@@wanderflieger No, only in quiet even conditions. Faith the wing is just too fast for xc…i like my oxa3 for this ;)
What is a Moustache?
@@mikefoster3487 go-flare.com/MOUSTACHE/GFPMOU10022
Fun place to crash with those thorns. Been there, done that
yeah that wasn't pretty. but he still had all his bones intact ;)
What size is this?
18 m3
And I am about 95 kg my brother with his 78kg just had his hands higher but that really only works with this paraglider 😅
@@Flyingtree do you think that it is right size for your weight? I have the same (95kg) and thinking about 22 size.. what do you think?
@@davidliska98 I think about us 15 m² wing. I think that depends on your level of flying and you can fly the mustache really slow if you want to. But I will wait till the new glider comes out and decide then…;)
Where is this? What's the location?
goo.gl/maps/i7g5ELCASeZVrnJ29
great beach and good restaurants, but you need good wind to fly there ;)
@@Flyingtree thank you! What's the best period of the year?
@@mikefoster3487 My brother lives there and, as far as I know, always flies. But can ask him;)
It kinda looks like the other pilot didn't anticipate the wash after you passed in front and he was unable to regain control (pulling too much brake?) so got shoved backwards into the rotor.
After that, he had probably also gained this realisation. But you only learn through mistakes.
Well that is a path to disaster. I prefer not crashing as a way to learn
Typical bad decision thinking if someone else can do it I can also do it
He just doesn’t have a Mustache 😉
@@joshiasbaja3934 Yes, that's really an extraordinary concept… this moustache ;) love it
The other paraglider was not a 'speed' glider like the moustache, and had quite a bit more surface area and less penetrating speed.
The wind was far too strong for this paraglider to be flying at all.
HMM. IS THERE A MANUAL? AT ALL?
Sorry, but I don't understand what you mean 😅
Hi, what kind of harness is that?
Kortel Karver (1) Bought it 11 years ago for seedflying. Super comfortable yet stable 😍
@@Flyingtree Thanks for the answer. Happy New Year!
@@grzegorzbaczynski35 I wish you the same. And beautiful flights in the new year ;)
