Less than 5 minutes after grabbing the first grapple full, and the pond looked many times better !! What looked like a formidable task, your machine and skill turned it into a fun project.. creating a whole new look for your customer.
WOW..you got your hands full with this job, but from watching previous pond jobs the Your family company & your side jobs, should come out BEAUTIFULLY.
Gonna be another great pond series. And if this was my pond, a tree house would be going in that maple tree you showed at the beginning. Perfect tree for a tree house.
My dream home build site right there with the big pond to come. Going to be beautiful. Thank you for sharing your artistry. Nothing more satisfying in this life than pounding nails and pushing dirt!
Keep an eye out for the slitherers Chris, that looks like perfect habitat. I know that I'd be tempted to cut a notch into the pond dam at the far end once you get it cleared so it will drain. That way you won't need to worry (as much) about the expansion area getting super soggy. And, if it stays dry, you might be able to dredge out at least part of the existing pond. The notch would also be a good spot for the overflow of course.
You got the big girl, love her power! Big girl has her work cut out for her! Let’s demo some trees Chris! lol I love it! Thanks for sharing Chris, I love that job and Big Bertha 250! 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Green forest as far as the eye can see. LOVE IT. Miss being back east. Been way too long. Somebody has a new windshield..... ;-) When I see all those trees around the derelict ponds, I see furniture, flooring, firewood and paper. Not all of them, but I bet the bigger ones are worth something.
Great video Chris, I'm looking forward to this series. I always enjoy the clearing videos, it appeals to my sense of order and neatness to make a mess into a lovely orderly scene.
I've only been following for little over a year but its not hard to tell you're proud of your work - even if it takes a little extra to accomplish it. I won't be the first, nor the last but I also appreciate the time you take to include Before and After videos from your drone. It really showcases your quality of work! Keep it up and thanks again!
could not even tell there was a pond there in the before shot. this is going too be a nice pond when done. stay safe and don't crack another windshield.
Love watching U work on old ponds. Thought on the last video, take a stump leave a lot of trunk, then turn it upside down, stick it the pond . So the roots forms a umbrella for fish ?
Thanks Chris, for the CC. Really hard to make out what you say. This looks like a nice project and don't wish mud on us but, we could use an inch of rain. Oh well. :)
He never used to do before and after shots, but now he does. It took a while to get him to do that, but its one thing I absolutely love about LD18; he listens to his viewers when they give sensible suggestions and requests. It was the same when people complained about the noise from the machine back in the early days, so he'd shut the doors so people could hear him better. He genuinely cares about his viewers' experiences.
We have asked for the before-and-after videos/pictures for quite a while. Especially before and then a follow-up after the grass has grown over the excavated and filled areas.
It always going to be a great video when it involves snapping of trees. Good old dust, sure beats deep mud or clouds of pollen. Looking forward to Sunday- fire day. That's if weather permits. Fishing on your own pond. That is very cool, you don't even have to drive to the your favorite fishing hole.
Awesome Video.im lovin this Project already Chris. You gotta Love the pond digging projects woohoo.😀 i bet thats gonna look great when all that is finished. Looks good so far with the trees gone . Nice Open Space now .👍
Some times its hard to get a decent perspective of how big of a job you are actually tackling. If you could get the drone out at the end of the project, a before and after aerial montage would be awesome!!! Love these vids!
The 250 is like using pliers to pull sticks compared to your thumb and forefinger lol. It has just a touch more power behind the force being applied. Looks like your set up for another amazing project 👍 🇺🇸🦅🌏⚓️🇺🇸
Another great pond project! Looking forward to the transformation. Nice to see the dirt fall off those root balls so easily, too. Easy burn. The land Barrons must grow like monkey balls on those gum trees in these parts of N.C. 😉😇
You're an artist with a HUGE steel paintbrush. Stay humble and don't let fame get to you. You'd actually be good at any profession you chose. Good people. I want a T-shirt "A Fish Habitat" with a giant stump!
That pine you put your boot on will be good saw timber [wide boards]. Old pond dam looks about Model A wide. You should scare out some snakes. Yes, you get to dig 'dry' dirt. Do watch the limbs - don`t need more new windshields.
WOW, this is the lowest ever like I've got in. 107, my Boy Scouts troop number back in the late 60's and early 70's. I know it's going to be another captivating video with Chric in his favorite element. Building / Expanding a pound.
Chris, do you ever work with people who do GEO-THERMO pipe installation prep work, you could be laying the black 50-100 year pipe in pond for geo-thermal heat pump use in house. Cut down in energy use for home owner, now would be ideal time to consider the prep work since pond is being dug out, and house not built yet.
I have spent most of my life in industries that move dirt or rock around. Now that I'm retired I get some weird satisfaction in watching you do it. I try to follow your projects, but if I may offer one suggestion. It would really be nice if you identified or numbered your projects so when you return to them as you do, that us simpler folk know exactly where your at......
Looks like a great project for the next month or so. Looking forward to many videos on this project, as well as the before and after, which are always amazing to see. Like any construction project, it's going to get allot messier before it all comes together and looks beautiful. I hope the contract includes digging a pad and/or basement for the new house as well, and a driveway, that would make this a perfect project all around. Maybe end the project with you sitting on the 250 FISHING at the new pond, lol. I am curious what a project like this goes for? If it were my property, I would hope for 10K, BUT my gut tells me I probably wouldn't get out for anything less than 25K, LOL.
The best pond maker and repairer in the States 🥰🥳👍
Chris - Your Pond Digging/Reclamation Projects are my favorites! Can't wait for the next one... Peace, Fred
Just seeing this. WOW what a task. After watching other videos of your work, I’m anxious to see the end product. A beautiful pond.
Fantastic.
You found a pond behind all the trees.
Nice work.
Looking forward to the next video of this project. Thanks for another great video.

Love the pond digging. And can't wait for the burning videos. Chris you are so talented. Stay safe. And give Winston a hug from me.
Love watching you start clearing an area.
these pond restorations are the best! nothing like taking something old and making it new again!
What an awesome spot for a tall ladder stand for deer hunting. Absolutely perfect.
I like how you look behind you when you move the machine even knowing that your along. Safety first. Great video.
I enjoy your overgrown pond projects the most.
Great to see a new site come alive.
Another fine job Chris. It doesn’t take long with the big boy toy, lol. Thanks for sharing.

Pond building/refurbishment projects are definitely my preference - always something different from before.

Another great video! Looking foward to part 2 of this job!!!
Another throughly enjoyable video as always thank you 🇬🇧
You pick up those trees like candles off a birthday cake. Awesome.

Great drone shot to open! Will be cool to compare when you are finished.
Pond is going to look good here soon. Amazing when you fly over to start what they become when finished.
Yay another pond dig, l love watching these from start to finish and then the before and after aerial views.

Another big job nice day to work chris
Always like to see some clearing that means a burn pile . And always like to see the restoration of a old farm pond
Love watching U work on old ponds. Thought on the last video, take a stump leave a lot of trunk, then turn it upside down, stick it the pond . So the roots forms a umbrella for fish ?
Love the video, love how you always explain what you are about to do. Looks like a new windshield so watch out for the sneeky branches.
Congrats Chris...!!! The Excavator Recovery Video, now over 10 million views!!!!!!!!👍👍👏👏👏👏👏A fine accomplishment...
That's the video that brought me here and I have watched everyday since 😁👍

I like to watch you in this project, you start from small trees to big trees it's systematic, I can see where you'll end.
Can't wait to see your burn pile from all of that mess!!
I like how you do before drone shot and then after you get done with the project
it's a good way to sell himself

@@Mephiston The first "before drone shot" of his that I remember seeing was from the Stumping Pad project from 14 Jan 2020. More than a year ago. ;-)
