    Binging on your videos and finding them fun and informative. Your long, in-depth, google docs supported videos are more fun than they should be. Please do a video dedicated to brush hairs, their uses and makeup you choose to pair with them. Another on accessories: brush holders/rolls; travel accessories etc. Thank you.

    Thanks for the video and all the recs! I ordered the Yoshiki cheek brush (mainly for the gorgeous wood handle!) and one of the large BP eyeshadow brushes (pine squirrel I think) from Beautylish and am counting down the days til they arrive!!

    Are they increasing the price for all their brushes? Majority are sold out :(

    I love the BP006 so much for the lightest ever dusting of finishing powder, and because it always has this unusual refreshing cooling sensation emanating from the central hairs, it adds a delicious touch of "Mmmmmmmm" to my makeup experience. :) The Mizume Sakura eye brushes seem like Yoshiki Y03 Y04 Y05. Just ordered L and S but M was sold out so I got Y04, I'll know soon how similar they are. Thank you so much for this!

      Thank you for this information. You may have just made me appreciate my bp006 more!
      Oh goody! I'm so glad those two lines of brushes are the same. The new line is supposedly made by the ceo/chairman of koyudo? Yoshiki? Do you feel there is a quality difference (like in bundling of the hair or shaping, the feel of the hairs' silkiness ) even though the specs re supposed to be the same?

    Thanks so much for this video! I watched a few times and made notes and started my ordering on CDJapan. Just wondering what's the difference between the white Fu-pa 01 and the black Fu-pa 01? On CD Japan, it says the white one is made from Goat Tankoho and has softness of 7, the black one is made from baby goat chest hair and also has softness of 7. They have the same length too. The white one is sold out so I wonder if I should just go for the black one.

    • @Jaybirdwalking
      @Jaybirdwalking  4 роки тому +2

      No difference except the color of the hair. Tankoho is a type of fine goat chest hair.
      I just prefer the looks of the white on and I cant conscientiously recommend the black one because I've never owned it before.

      @@Jaybirdwalking Thanks! I also like the look of the white Fu-pa 01 and curiously prefer the black and gold Fu-pa 14. I'm just doing some internal struggles to see how good/bad I should be. So many other brushes I want to buy!!!!

      @@Jaybirdwalking Wow thanks for the recommendation. I was also curious if you like Fu-pa 02, it seems really popular, but if I get Fu-pa 01, 07, 013, 014, maybe I won't exactly need Fu-pa 02? I'm checking out Sweetmakeuptemptations post about these Fu-pas and still find it hard to decide.

    Thank you a lot for this thorough review! I wanted to ask you - is the fu-pa14 CB Gray Squirrel Powder Brush (CDJ colab) same as the original Koyudo fu-pa 14? I mean, aside from the handle, is the head of the brush of the same quality (hair and fullness) as Koyudo? Many thanks in advance!

    • @Jaybirdwalking
      @Jaybirdwalking  4 роки тому +2

      Exactly the same. Better yet imo, the CDJapan one stands up due to its flat bottom, though admittedly it's not as pretty

    • @elenapascal923

      @@Jaybirdwalking Thank you! I am asking as I saw Kihitsu has a similar flat bottom fu-pa 14, but priced at 16500 yen on their website. So that confused me. Thought maybe the Kihitsu/Koyudo is pure Grey Squirrel, but no, in the description it says it's a combination with goat as well. So, now which one should I pick? Would definitely like to have "the right" one. Please help :).

    What is that box you store your brushes in? Is that a humidor?

    • @Jaybirdwalking
      @Jaybirdwalking  4 роки тому +3

      Dingdingding!
      It's made of cedar which discourages bugs and regulates humidity

    • @Msdeexoxo
      @Msdeexoxo 4 роки тому +1

      Jaybirdwalking do you have a video discussing that? Or a recommendation where to look for discussions. I thought moisture would not be good for brushes because of bacteria growth. Please educate me as my brushes are such a large precious investment and want to preserve them. Ideal temp etc? Thank you so much for responding!

    • @Jaybirdwalking
      @Jaybirdwalking  4 роки тому +1

      @@Msdeexoxo I do not have a video on storage but the ideal humidity I think is 35-50%. And of course, a dry, cool, place. Ideal temperature I can't comment on as confidently but I would say 50 degree F but I don't follow this as it is not realistic for me to achieve

    I saw some discontinued brushes on CD Japan do you know anything about buying by proxy. Can you explain if possible and is it expensive or what does it entail ?

    • @Jaybirdwalking
      @Jaybirdwalking  3 роки тому

      It's like using a personal shopper. You tell them (Cdjapan /personal shopper) what you want, they buy it for you. you pay for the items + a fee that is a percentage of the total purchase price + shipping + Japan sales taxes (I think, not 100% sure on this last one).

    Hello! I wanted to know if the hair on the koyudo BP 06/08 and BP016 brushes is as smooth as Hakuhodo S110 / 104. I have the KOYUDO brush BP014 and I can really feel a big difference in smoothness relative to Hakuhodo brushes, I know the hair is different (hakutotsuho VS saikoho) but it's for reference. I have no goat hair brush as smooth as Hakuhodo's and I don't enjoy Bp014.
    Another question I wanted to ask you is if you prefer the bisyodo 01 brush or the Houkodou BZ-1 for your makeup base. I use cream makeup, which is not very liquid. I need it to be soft (it's personal preference I don't have skin problems) and it looks natural, since I hardly use any amount of product because I put on very natural makeup. Currently I have the Chikuhodo GSN-2 that I like and the GSN - 5 that I don't like very much and I use it only for blush or liquid bronzer.
    Thanks a lot

      I'm so sorry i let this comment slip through the cracks unanswered for so long!
      The 06 feels slightly less smooth than the 110 and 104. I'd rank the smoothness as 110 > 104 > BP06 but this might be a sensory illusion
      do you notice a pattern? it seems like the larger the brush gets the rougher they feel. with bigger brushes, it is easier to feel the hair texture and thus the hair seems to feel rougher.
      i prefer the houkodou BZ-1 because it is faster. it is also softer than the bisyodo. the bisyodo is saikoho, the houkodou is sokoho, but the bisyodo is more densely packed and feels more firm.
