I totally understand agree with you about Talent Shows. They are like factories putting out content but not always paying attention to the really talented artists. I think seeing her version of Bo Rhapsody was worth it though. I appreciate your concern about finances too, very nice of you. All good though. See you again soon!

Angelina and her family were asked twice by Simon's team to come to America and perform after the second time she was wanting to go to America so they would hear her,,, however they already knew some things from winning NGT at 8 so after discussions both sides decided it would be good for Simon's ratings and on AJs side she would be interduced to America so it was a win win, how ever Al's know with out signing the contracts she would not be allowed to win the show ,, they agreed and the real win came less than a year later at age 14 when she signed on with Republic Records and they were more than willing to agree to her family's strict restrictions regarding song ownership, style, and her schooling being finished before she goes full on artist , she is 17 now and graduates this year and has a full album coming out this year she has made singles and music videos under RR already and still does some covers
She doesn't wear shoes because when she was little on vacation she saw a little girl with no shoes. She gave her her own shoes and said she would not wear shoes when she performs until all kids had shoes.

Anthony, it's interesting that you had just reacted to Eva Cassidy singing Over the Rainbow before reacting to Angelina Jordan's own version of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, because if you listen closely, that's the song they're playing in the background as the judges are giving their reactions. As the song concludes with where dreams really do come true, they did for Angelina that night, because what you didn't see was Heidi Klum's reaction, where she could hardly wait to speak, was so excited that she stood up and hit the Golden Buzzer. They play that footage as a backgrounder to the second performance Angelina gave covering Elton John's Beyond the Yellow Brick Road in the style of Sara Bareilles, which also brought the house down.

your comments regarding shows like America’s got talent, American idol, etc. I agree with you 100%. I notice what sells is looks vocal skills and appearance. I will leave and go as far as sexuality. And again this is only my opinion I have heard some awesome singers that, Simon has even commented on the greatness of the voice but yet they weren’t chosen because they were overweight, gay or they just wasn’t physically appealing. I agree with you 100% that is just a moneymaker, but when it comes to this young lady, she’s a true talent, she’s a old soul wrapped up in a young persons body. Her voice will never be duplicated or replicated. She has a gift. I am 57 years old and I have never heard a voice, creativity, music that touches your soul coming from this young lady. I’ve never heard of any other performer or musical artist with her skills. Her skills come a lot from just singing, not vocal jabber jabber in the background met mechanical things into Ulta her voice the training is good, but they don’t have to do much to train her voice because there’s nothing really to train. Music is not just about power and range, what if you had power and range but you lack being emotive and other parts. Music is about having the right amount of skill out of all the skills and she has it. Being a singer and having power and range is just bland and with no character and emotion. I'd say to you my friend, this young lady now is 17 and she barely started her life so in about 10 years from now you might have your mouth shut. The program (Simon) asked Angelina to perform knowing she would not be finishing the competition; her parents would not let her sign with any label. Also, she was already well-known; especially in Europe. You might really like watching all her performances on Norway’s Got Talent. She was 7 y/o and won. Your analysis of talent shows is spot on. Everybody assumed that Angelina would win the whole show, but she didn't, because she refused to sign Simon's contract. That would have handed him control of her career for the next five years, but Angelina's sights were higher than that, and she insists on absolute control over her own music. If you listen to Howie's speech after her next AGT performance (Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - highly recommended too), it's almost like he was saying she should win the show but she's not going to. Angelina knew she didn't need to win the show, she did it for the exposure and it paid off.
I appreciate your honest explanation to the monetary side of things.

Angelina wanted to be on "that Simon Show" since she was a toddler, fact. She respects that he is demanding because she is extremely demanding of herself..
Anthony, go back and notice that AGT actually PLAYS Eva Cassidy's rendition of "Over the Rainbow" during the judges' comments.
She wasv7 at the audition and 8 by the final so both ages are quoted and correct. The band Queen saw her cover of yheir song they lovedbit so much they gave her copyright of her version. No better compliment than acknowledgement from one of the greatest bands of all time.
Not only did Angelina get the golden buzzer from judge Heidi Klum, but she also received huge praise from the remaining members of the legendary Queen. Queen were delighted with Angelina's arrangement and shared it on Twitter with the words "WOW, what a rendition" (three years later they repeated their praise on TT in March 2023 with the words "absolutely killed it".) What was unfortunately not to be seen Here, all four judges came on stage to congratulate Angelina (very rarely).
BTW, Angelina released her version of Bohemian Rhapsody on January 24th, 2020 under her own label ANGELINA JORDAN INC. shortly after Angelina celebrated her 14th birthday. (to date more than 11 million listeners on Spotify alone) 🤗🤗
This rendition has no power. I think it's free PR for them. Also we see when she goes high up, she doesn't have the power to sustain there. Some people praise her to be "versatile" and "powerful", a huge NO! She has her own style, which is limited around jazz and soul and she is very good at that area.

It doesn't matter what judges do or these shows. This is a moment in the life of the person at hand. The reaction is about their performance in this particular moment. I don't care for it either but it ain't worth dissecting. It exists with or without me. I'm glad the artist can be seen by 6-12 million and the career gets a boost.

We do enough over the top, judges do, yet we want her to remain grounded, to understand none of this stuff is finite really, it's always your best needed, whatever that is that day. The other judges are entertainers/celebrities. Simon is a record producer. He provides critiques that benefit the contestants and may potentially provide the valuable information to them on whether they should continue the path of music or not.

Notice her little sister crossing her fingers as the performance starts and later her mother wipe tears from her eyes. Also remember she said she had waited 10 years to sing for Simon. This interpretation of her is absolutely memorable, for her incredible technique, for the ability she had to re-read such an iconic song in a more intimate way and for the intensity of her interpretation, at only 13 years old! This is a splendid example of Angelina's extraordinary and unique talent, her extraordinary intelligence and musical sense, through which she absorbs and transforms the great songs she loves so much. I loved everything about that performance of her, the choice, the ease and the ability to push her ideas forward. Not to mention the joy of seeing her family proud and happy with what she created. Angelina has been working very hard since she was a little girl, with an awesome, supportive family that mainly focused on letting her do what she loves and realize her dreams, but at the same time keeping her from being thrown into the messed up world of show business at a too young age. She participated to a few talent shows, but it is in the many appearances in festivals and on her channels that she really shone for many years. NGT and AGT helped her being noticed by the industry and seen by more people, who then turned to her channels and others and discovered hundreds of performances recorded over the last 10 years. She is a gem, an angel, a true artist and her voice is the most beautiful sound that I have ever heard. Every thing she releases is masterpiece. I cannot wait to finally get to hear an album full of her originals.

She’s coming out with her first album this month, with a label that is backing her in what she wants to do. Simon wanted to sign her, but her parents wanted Angelina to finish high school. She’s already worth 600 million! She is one of a kind, and I hope she stays true to herself!! She can sing anything!

Anthony, glad to see you back reacting to Angelina! Goosebumps, chills and tearing up are pretty much Angelina specialties, man. She makes us feel it. The remaining members of Queen liked Angelina's rendition so much that they allowed her to copyright it, which pretty much says it all. AGT calls this her "audition" on the show, but come on ... even at the tender age of 13, Angelina was already beyond "auditioning."

The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. Luckily for all of us, Angelina is such a humble person that the judges comments did not turn her head. She didn’t win the show but continued to turn out amazing covers sprinkled with a few originals. Angelina makes us all feel her music and has done from a very young age as you will see if you watch her Norway’s got talent performances at age 7/8.
Anthony, I truly understand what you just have gone through. Eva Cassidy and Angelina Jordan back to back. Well, I have something you might be interested in listening to. Believe it or not, Eva and Angelina are put together in a mashup singing 'Fields of Gold'. You are a rap star and I believe you are doing this right now because you genuinely enjoy this connection to other people in the arts. Anthony, Angelina has no boundaries. Gender, age, color, language, religion, occupation, wealth, musical preference, it doesn't make any difference, she touches everyone's heart. Her vocal and artistic attributes are top level emphasizing a soulful sound with a hint of jazz but that's not the complete package. I know with 183K subscribers and the need for editors to keep up with everything it is difficult for you to read and/or respond to comments from the viewers. BUT, Anthony, if you can find the time, read some of the comments about Angelina. What you are reacting to when you listen to her sing is the love in her voice. That love is genuine and those goosebumps you were getting, and tearing up (with the urge to cry) and even finding it hard to speak normally during or just after she sings are reactions from your heart. Your head is trying to figure out what just happened! Her fan base (her 'angels') will be sending you all kinds of data (playlists and bio's) about her. She's very special. Anthony, I liked what you said in the beginning when $$$ was the topic. I'm a businessman and when I started in business I went to see someone who could use my services and it turned out to be a great opportunity for me which I took full advantage of. After out meeting and then a subsequent meeting to set things up, before leaving he felt it was very important for him to tell me something. He told me whatever I did for him to make sure I was making money. He told me things will never work out if you are trying to be too nice to me. Charge me what you have to. Be fair, but make sure you are making a profit on whatever you do for me.

I understand your remarks about the entertainer in the jury over-praising, but here Howie actually got it right: : the sucessful Stargate production duo (as she of Norwegian origin and now living in LA) got interested in her based on this, invited her, and they produced several songs together. They presented one of those (Million Miles) to Monte Lipman, who is head of Republic Records. That got her signed, and Million Miles and shortly after 7th Heaven were the first two songs published from that collaboration.

Eva Cassidy was awesome. She refused to go commercial. Stayed true to herself. Died way too young. Angelina Jordan is about to rule the music world.

Despite your misgivings about TV talent shows - and 'Got Talent' in particular - you really _must_ react to all four of her performances on _Norske Talenter_ [Norway's Got Talent] (which, BTW, she did mostly at 8 - she was only 7 for her initial audition). They are simply incredible. And not in the way that most people mean when they say a child singer was incredible on a TV talent show. Muscially and vocally they are much closer to this perfornance of "Bohemian Rhapsody" at 13 than the bombastic "I Put a Spell on You" you saw her do at 9 (except there were no high belted notes like she did here as an allusion to the guitar solo in Queen's original). The very first response she got from one of the judges after she sang her first song sums it up nicely: "I think you are an old soul who has lived many lives". While there are some great individual videos you could use for the different rounds, it wouldn't be a terrible idea, IMHO, to use a single compilation video that contains just her singing (omitting all the pre- and post-song stuff, which might minimize the chances of getting blocked). The whole thing is just over 14 minutes long.
This is AGT Champions. The show invites winners from around the globe. This is Angelina's own arrangement. She got Heidi Klum's golden buzzer. Do you want something very current? Because if you do, definitely check out her May 5, 2023 drop of her original song, the first from the album expected this Fall, "Love Don't Let Me Go." She is 17 years old this year, 2023. If you want a few songs between Bohemian Rhapsody and 2017, there are many glorious covers and a couple of originals. Probably many of the other "angels" are steering you toward songs. Grandma Ellen, roger and out.
What Howie and the other judges, including Simon Cowell, don't know (or haven't bothered to check) is that Angelina Jordan is already an international star and has performed around the world. This was the first song I ever heard Angelina sing, in a compilation of amazing kids voices from Got Talent. I was expecting a more Queen-like cover and wasn't too sure about all the ornaments she added. How wrong I was about that. Even so, I was impressed by her voice and technique. After I heard I Put A Spell On You, there was no turning back for me. I'm gonna recommend what may be her most sophisticated performance of her early career. *Why Angelina always performs barefoot*
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes.
Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. You have to see all four of her songs, there is compilation, from the Norway GT competition. She starts at 7 years old and is 8 by the end. The level of improvement with each is amazing. But this was the world's introduction to AJ. Since then her vocal and empath skills have become legendary to a growing worldwide fanbase. In my 70s I have seldom come across this level of vocal art. Following for your journey in discovering how truly amazing this girl has been now for over 10 years.
Check the number of veiws that this video has had and the fact that she has signed with Republic records and probably has tens of millions of followers. In my opinion what Howie said has come to pass !!!
