She really did pour her soul into that performance. Without that soul, everyone else is just mimicking technique.

Now, of course, I can see the differences that make Melissa Melissa and Janis Janis, but Melissa will definitely be the closest I get to Janis. That said, I've seen ME maybe 8-9 times (every Denver concert since 1994).
