This is NOT 2015. It’s from her concert tour entitled ‘Live and Alone’. Circa 1999-2000. This particular song is about when she first met her second wife Tammy. I remember seeing her during this period at City Center on West 55th street in Manhattan. It was a hot August night and I got caught in a thunderstorm just before I got to the theater. It was just a couple of weeks before the World Trade Center disaster.
Yes 2001. I flew from Hawaii to LA to see her in Oakland. Met her in the Castro with Tammy the day of her concert. This series she played alone, without a band, alone. Her voice was amazing stripped don.
