Hello captain, I have been a big fan of yours since the beginning when you started the channel and I can say that you are the best channel with such a topic and beyond. I'm just curious, where did the videos from Croatia disappear this summer?😟
@CaptainPaulClarke is there any way where we can know where you are in real-time? You passed by Otranto and I missed the chance to see your beautiful boat. 🥲
Taking trips like this really made retirement fun. It’s been six years since I retired, and while inflation has made it harder to maintain the same lifestyle, I occasionally worry about outliving my savings due to sequence of returns risk. I've noticed my withdrawals are making it harder to recover, and it’s not something I can easily ignore. These days, I mostly stick to the boring stuff just to stretch things out a bit longer.
I’m nearing retirement myself, and I had similar concerns. I started investing later than most, and just relying on ETF compounding wasn’t cutting it for me either. After working with a financial advisor, I managed to restructure my investments and am now on track to retire with around $5 million. If I hadn’t sought advice, I doubt I’d be as confident in my plan right now
I usually steer clear of recommending specific people because financial needs are so personal. But I can say that working with Emily Ava Milligan has made a world of difference for me. I noticed her strategies are tailored to fit personal goals and make sense for different needs. It might be worth exploring to see if her approach resonates with you.
A free t-shirt is well worth it to keep the Pilots happy. It would be a shock for the Pilots in the port hopping on other mega-yachts wearing Loon t-shirts
We used to give out cartoons of Marlboro's to keep the Pilots happy. Then we got a Captain who was a company guy, and he tried to save the company some money by giving the pilots half a carton. Next thing you know, we had a 12 hour wait before we could proceed. We were back to a carton on the next trip.
I cycled across South of France this week - Coming round Cap D´Antibes, I spotted an achored yacht that looked like Loon. I assumed it wasn`t. Later that evening I saw the crew having a beer at The Hop Store in Antibes. They all looked very happy to be together and they were very polite, great to see. Cycled round the cape again the next morning and the yacht was still there and looked amazing in the morning sun. 👍
I love how you show all aspects of super yachting! It’s not all all beautiful scenery, it’s inspecting the boat, making soup for sick crew, training, and maintaining. Thanks for sharing with us!
I love quiet Sunday mornings drinking my coffee and enjoying a great Loon video. The detailed descriptions of the maintenance required for the boat are awesome. Thanks Loon crew!
Love your content. Especially enjoy you don’t show internal drama, just what it takes to keep a beautiful vessel like the 221 running. Please keep the vids coming;
I love that even though everyone is quite busy, Nina took time to make a special meal (chicken soup) for a crew mate who was sick. I also am always amazed at how much maintenance is required to keep the ship looking so awesome!
Hello team, Just like to say what a privilege it is to see some of what goes on. Love every one of you, know each and every individual works hard, thank you and keep well.
So interesting to watch these videos. I used to be in the US Navy on surface combatants, so I am very familiar with life onboard a surface ship. What I found so fascinating to watch the crew do their jobs and how they did those jobs compared to my experiences in the Navy. My job was to drive the ship as OOD (Officer of the Deck), was very amazed at the level of technology now available on the bridge...sure wish we had that stuff back then! Keep up the great videos!!

Love the Loon videos top rate editing, I will never step foot on a super yacht due to total lack money lol. But watching the loon crew at work is a delight.

Thank you for another amazing video. The crew, the boat and the captain on point again! Great job Steve for capturing everything so well. Hello everyone from Ontario, Canada.
the Pilot asking about Tshirts gives me flashbacks to customs and immigration in various countries where the most common question by the staff was "what have you got for me....?". If you didn't have anything that they wanted, then life got difficult, not terrible, but just difficult...
Watching and following from Nairobi Kenya 🇰🇪, Pilot just wanted a souvenir no need to judge him and be hard on him and again it would be good PR for the company.

With the sudden tragic sinking of sailing vessel Bayesian it has been highlighted that Super Yacht passengers are not required to do a safety drill and life preserver training, unlike cruise ship passengers. Do you see a change to the rules or a voluntary safety drill being introduced on Super Yachts and Loon in the near future ? Do you already do one when the guests board ?
When I’ve watched loon’s videos of their safety drills I’ve always wondered what they would be doing differently if they had passengers on board. Abandon ship during a fire and wearing the submersion suits for example, what do passengers do? Or man over board, I bet the passengers would love to get in the way and “help”?
@willexart Indeed, what happens to the passengers ? I think the idea might be that as there are only 12 passengers, then the 20 crew can help them get off but, as happened on Bayesian, all but one of the crew got off but 5 passengers got trapped in a cabin and drowned. With some irony, I think, Bayesian statistics is a statistical theory and method of data analysis that uses Bayes' theorem to update prior knowledge with observed data... I.e. learn from your mistakes and successes, and predict the future.
@@grumblewoof4721I was watching a programme about the yacht and the ultimate stability angle amongst other things. I wonder what will come from this and MAIB’s findings.

It was 4am so most crew asleep as well as passengers. We will see what is discovered when they raise it. I expect it will take years and perhaps prosecutions before any new rules are introduced.
