Oh man, this is LEGIT the greatest game no one talks about. A friend and I would spend hours during the summer deathmatching in the splitscreen mode of this game and it was glorious. So, I always wondered, this game was DEVELEOPED by Lucasarts but PUBLISHED by Konami?
There's one time I played this with my friend in arcades back then, I was always choosing the Spider and hide in a random spot he was so pissed off it's hilarious
That’s correct. Wikipedia has more detailed information. The game engine is based on LucasArt’s previous game,Zombies Ate My Neighbors, and has no relation with Cybernator other than inspiration. Also, simply look at the credits and you’ll find not a single Japanese sounding person.
@@gwinbeer The credits were the giveaway, plus the graphics design was more "American Comic" than that of "Japanese Manga." So, they didn't even reuse some sprites from Cybernator?
Loved this game but could only rent it one summer as a kid. never saw it for sale anywhere. It was hard as heck but fun. Loved the splitscreen 1v1 but too bad never had a chance to really 1v1 that much. it was neat at the time to see your bot take damage as you fight.
@allright715 I don't think you're right. Konami just published it, just like they just published Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Lucasarts wasn't some small developer who'd sign away their rights.

My brother and I rented this one. It has the best multiplayer nobody has played.

Game was very fun. Should have had a sequel.
Impressive this game ... without the good luck to receive some specific items from the port the game is almost impossible to complete
