Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh at 6:31 I know this video has been up for quite some time already, but I've only recently become interested in puppet building and your videos are so informative and detailed. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
I would love to see a video on "special effect" puppets. Just finished building one with light up eyes and would love to try some more complex features
I would definitely love to see how you do an eye mech. I would also be curious to how to make a puppet that has a distinct animal feature around the mouth such as a muzzle, or a beak.
had no blue felt left couldn't get any in shop so made tongue red and ears green. fur is still blue. have some hair for her. bits of green purple blue and pink hair. using a orange plastic bowl for skull? can i use tacky glue to stick the skull in? false red nails, wooden spoons for arm rods and she is going to be awesome.
You know, i love to create caracters based on my scketches, (No, not tumblr tipe, that sucks) And since im a huge Jim Henson Fan, i have tried to make puppets myself, so, i must thank you for your videos, they are really helpfull.
Hey Adam! I'm 14 years old and I just love puppets and I wanna make or buy one, but my parents say that I am not a little kid anymore and that I should grow up... but I really love them... anyway... You are excellent! I apreciate a lot what you are doing and when I grow up I wanna be like you!(well, my parents have somenthing to say about it...)
Adam, Have you done a video on building a puppet with an eyebrow function like Animal from the muppets? Where you can raise and lower the brow with your hand inside of the head of the puppet? Thanks for sharing your work and process! Hope all is well, Take care. AJ
Christians studio films official it would be a similar technique to this but you’d want to make a “potato sack” body. You could probably do that type of body with the clay and tape. As of the hands just trace your hands to make a glove.
@@PuppetNerd thanks also would you consider making a video about different types of fur from different stores like Joanne fabrics because most people use different furs from different websites and I don't know which one is good to use?
Do you know of an alternative material to ostrich feathers that has a similar look/texture and movement? I'm vegan and don't want to use real ostrich feathers, but I'm having trouble finding synthetic alternatives or cruelty-free feathers. The look I'm going for is like Rosita's hair from Sesame Street, but any hair suggestions would be appreciated!
Hi Adam, I love your work! I've been trying desperately to do an Animal muppet, and have no clue how to do his hair in back. I tried the technique shown here but it sticks out too much instead of laying flat. Any suggestions?
I'd love to see you make a replica Fraggle one of these days. I've been desperately wanting to make one for myself, probably Traveling Matt, and their hair looks quite similar to what you're doing here, but far more complex lol.
Hi Adam. My family and I love your videos. My son and I are getting ready to make this puppet. We’re getting all our supplies together. What’s the diameter of the eyes you used in this puppet?
I know it varies a lot I'm sure, but do you know how long it took you to make this guy and the green puppet in your detailed how to series? I know I'll be much slower, I just want to have an idea of a time before I dive in. Thanks so much for all of these amazing detailed videos!
Is there a method or technique of trimming the fur so it doesn't have that obvious cut/trimmed look to it? Because when cutting or trimming fur, especially long-pile fur, the piling always has that unnatural squared look from where the tips of the pile were cut.
Thank you for making these videos! I've really enjoyed all of them. I'm thinking about picking up this pattern from your site, but I'm wondering how much fur fabric do I need for this pattern?
These tutorials were great! Thank you so much this will help. Now how about a puppet made entirely out of feathers like a chicken or rooster (just a suggestion).🙂❤️👍
making a long haired blue monster with large red pompom nose red felt ears and red eyes. the inside of the mouth is brown with a blue tongue. wooden spoons for arm rods.

Hey Adam how a live hand monster puppet like cookie monster or telly monster

Is using fringe more expensive, and how do you figure out how much you would need to cover a head using fringe or feathers?
It depends on the look you are going for.
Is there a specific angle that you cut the fur on or do you just cut? Also how high is the fur once you're done trimming it?
You can leave it as long or as short as you want. I think at the low spots I go down to about 1/2 inch.
@@PuppetNerd thanks also would you consider making a video about different types of fur from different stores like Joanne fabrics because most people use different furs from different websites and I don't know which one is good to use?

Yeah! I have used this strips of a sheer fabric too.
I noticed the puppet stands in the background if you made them it would be a cool tutorial! If not where did you get them?
I have plans to do one.
Yes! Thank you!

Hi Adam. My family and I love your videos. My son and I are getting ready to make this puppet. We’re getting all our supplies together. What’s the diameter of the eyes you used in this puppet?
Pretty sure they were 1.5 inch diameter.

I usually spend at least 40 hours on a puppet.

Can you make a video on how to make a sack puppet like your Chef Roast puppet...
Stay tuned!
Trust me i will!!!

Did you watch the whole video? You tease the fur... as mentioned.
Yes, and yes I've tried that before, but still didn't quite give off the desired look.
Joseph Scarbrough you could probably use Adam’s glue tip to style the cut fur. Check out his other tutorial series.
Thank you for making these videos! I've really enjoyed all of them. I'm thinking about picking up this pattern from your site, but I'm wondering how much fur fabric do I need for this pattern?
I always recommend people to order 1.5 yards. You will have a little left over, but it’s handy to have in case you accidentally cut a piece out wrong.
That was a lot of hair to cut and nice job with the face he looks very cool.
A monster puppet (live hand version)
I already have a sketch . I will want to figure out how to do a big long thick mustache and clothes.
How did you make I mean
I wish I could see tutorials on the mechanisms
Cool I love it can I have it
do you dye your hair or is it naturally white
Great tutorial i like it and i probably gonna make it but can you show how to make real hand puppet like cookie monster
I miss your voice, motivates me to finish my first big puppet.
I want to see a mouth mech for a full body puppet
I’m not sure what you are asking. This is a full bodied character with a mouth.
Adam Kreutinger like you did with the owl puppets
can you make a video on how to make a king puppet
All you really need to do is put a crown on a puppet, then it’s a king. It’s more about the performance and script at that point.
These tutorials were great! Thank you so much this will help. Now how about a puppet made entirely out of feathers like a chicken or rooster (just a suggestion).🙂❤️👍
Give it a try!
I’d try it like they did with big birds feathers.
8:50 thanks for the nightmare
