Thank you for your great videos! My 10 year old grandson loves puppets and wants to make a sack puppet. I purchased your pattern and with no experience in making puppets I made my first test puppet in just a couple hours and it turned out great! My grandson loves the test one and can't wait till our weekend together to make a green long fur puppet. He calls in the evenings with plans on what kind of eyes, and how many fingers. If anyone is wanting to make one of these puppets it is well worth getting the pattern and following the video. It is easy and rewarding.

@@Carefreeville regularly for me about two yards of fabric is enough to make a puppet. Depending on the size of the character you want to build.

Have you ever thought about hosting a contest, where viewers send in puppet character designs, and you make your favorite and send it to the winner? I think that would be really cool, and a lot of artists and doll customizers have done something similar.

Ernie is not a sack puppet! He used the live hands that are separate from the body. Though I am sure you can still make a fun Ernie. Clothes seem more difficult for this kind of pattern but Monsterpiece Theatre always has Cookie in that suave suit so I probably just don’t know what I’m doing

As a working artist who makes props I get all kinds of requests...you guessed it a life size puppet with live hands. I remember using you as a resource for a different kind of puppet a while back and had you in my "saves", I am so glad I did because you just saved the day sir. Thank you so much! I can't wait to get started. You are amazing! I think I can figure out my own patterns but I am totally going to grab a little Merch as a thank you. All the hearts!
This will become my project for the summertime
Before the current world events, I had created my own sack puppet, from scratch pattern and all, but using Adams foam pattern for the head (though I did increase the size by about 10% due to my hands).
Now I wish to bring my puppets out again, I miss showing them off in public.

this us perfict timeing! i had a puppet order to make a sack puppet and then this came out!
after you glue the foam with contact cement once its gotten tacky do you have to wait for it to dry more to get it to not emit fumes
Another great example of a Sack puppet is Trekkie Monster from “Avenue Q.”
My favourite sack puppet is two-headed monster since both puppeteers get a head. I have a two headed daemon puppet though nobody to perform them with
