I randomly ordered one of their kits when I ordered my first set of AN lines and fittings. Their site say it's not for Evil Energy fittings but it worked with mine Perfectly. well worth the money, I'm disabled and needed an extra hand, this was it!

Glad to hear it worked well for you. If I had to guess, I'd bet they say that because Evil Energy is a more budget minded brand so it isn't uncommon for brands like that to change designs as supplies change. You usually get more consistency with more "name brand" companies. May have been a run of EE ones that didn't work well with it so they just put that out there to cover their own rears.

This tool looks like a real good one to have for any shop or even a person who is doing more than one restoration/ rebuild project.
I did look at their website and when I saw that you were reviewing it I wanted to see what someone who is not paid by the company had to say about it. You did reaffirm what I was thinking and will probably buy them when I can.

Nice one Mr Hippie. Your right, that would be a great tool for an engine build shop of race team.

I got away from braided lines went to black nylon because always malled up my hands. Looks like a good tool but like you I won’t reuse a old hose without cutting it back

I use the black nylon hose most often anymore as well. People just like the look of it. If nothing else its different than the braided that has been so common.

I bought a set of these and the -8 did not fit my fittings. 6 and 10 did fine. Which was unfortunate because most of the fittings being used were -8

That is very disappointing to hear. Did you contact Koul about it? Sadly there is variation in fitting dimensions as there isn't any specific dimensions for things like the outside diameter / wrench size of fittings. What brand fittings did you use? Just for my future information.

HotRodHippie I did contact Koul about it and they got back to me right away. Basically said the same thing you did. Fittings that didn’t fit are Evil brand. (Amazon). The overall diameter is too wide. I ordered a few more and went with edelbrock.

When you doing the car project your spending thousands of dollars. So when I did my car project I had already had one experience with a and hose and it was not good. So I decided to bite the bullet and buy the kit and it was the best decision ever. I recommended myself

Pretty cool! I don't use AN fittings on street rods though. I pride myself on being able to fabricate hard lines.
    Thanks for sharing!
    All the best!

I fabricate hardlines wherever it makes sense but since I'm usually using stainless they connect to AN hoses for flexibility. Got to have flex somewhere.
      Thank you 👍

These work okay, but in my experience, quality fittings make the difference with assembly. I'm not going to name brands, but I think you get what you pay for when it comes to -an fittings.

I can definitely agree. Many cheaper fittings feel it when assembling. But I haven't had much issue with them in practical use so I don't fully discourage their use myself.
