- Ingredients:
4 lbs pork hock
3 lbs of shrimps
banh canh noodles
2 daikon
salt
rock sugar
sugar
fish sauce
mushroom seasoning
cilantro
green onions
black pepper
fried shallots
fresh chili

What does the mushroom seasoning look like I notice you use it in alot of your videos.
It’s an msg replacement, kinda like bouillon.
Do we just throw away the daikon?
Can I get a written recipe please?
Base on a 10 qt pot:
4 lbs pork hock
3 lbs of shrimps
banh canh noodles
2 daikon
salt
rock sugar
sugar
fish sauce
mushroom seasoning
cilantro
green onions
black pepper
fried shallots
fresh chili
1. Parboil pork hock and then rinse well.
2. Add pork hock to pot, along with onion and daikon. Fill up with water.
3. Peel 1 lb of shrimp then smash or you can ground in food processor. Sautéed shrimp with some shallots and oil. Add this to the pot.
4. Let pot come to a boil and remove scum
as necessary.
5. Season pot with 2 tbl of salt, 2 tbl mushroom seasoning, 1 large rock sugar.
6. Let pot simmer until pork hock is tender.
7. Boiled 2 lbs of shrimp an peel shell.
8. Once pork hock is tender removed pot. Adjust broth with additional seasoning to your liking.
9. Boil your banh canh noodle.
10. Prepare your noel with noodles, pork hock, shrimps. fried shallots. Add broth and enjoy with fresh chili.
