don't forget how he fired so many people from twitter that after a day they realized they let go critical employees and had to beg them to come back lol and during his reign of terror X went from 44 billion all the way down to 9 billion and twitter runs a lot worse today. Now ask yourself is he really the one to be recommending cuts and I forgot to mention how tesla was about to file for bankruptsy but survived bc of subsidies from the government hes a pretty much a welfare billionaire at this point.
I agree they won’t be able to cut $2 trillion by 2026 but maybe they are estimating their savings over a longer period of time? And maybe including the reduction of debt service to be paid if discretionary spending is reduced then the need to use as much debt in the future will be reduced along with it the corresponding dent service
same in norway about 30% in all departments can be cut. Even a department leader in Norway said so,but that was after he had cutted 50%. Funny u say UN is a waste of money... so who should pay for it. Just let all nations in africa be raging on constant civil war with huge mass migration of people?
They will cut $100 Billion like the TEA party did in the 2010s. They will find random spending or something stupid for a head like $750k to study Gay Trans Frogs and it will make a nice headline. Typical GOP talking points...
Lol, maybe that’s what it should be. But i suspect that their actual main focus will be environmental protection offices that regulate Tesla’s supply chains.
I audited the US Coast Guards finance center in 2015. I kid you not that they had 6-7 people working the same tasks that 2-3 would do. And they were hardly aware of what each other’s role was in accomplishing those tasks. The amount of redundancy and wasted time the government normally operates with is astounding.
Coast guard..don't get me started..they make up fake broken regulations just so they can have a job...each month they inspect ships..big ships and claim ..oh the light bulb is too bright..fix it in 5 months now pay this fine....after 5months they come back saying oh it's too dim.fix it now pay this new fine....later they come back and say oh you have too many lights on your ship...pay afine..again they come back saying oh the paint binsudenis rhe wrong xolor..change it ..pay a fine till 5months ...over and over....like cops giving tickets for profit.....
The government should have a level of redundancy. Imagine going to a DMV office that was streamlined to run off 2-3 employees and one of them calls out sick. No thanks.
Black ops and other classified programs are something you don’t need to know about. These programs are the reason why your freedom even exist in America.
1) That's almost the entire Defense budget, and so cannot possibly be correct. 2) Yeah, no sh!t they 'can't pass an audit.' Classified programs and budgets cannot be revealed publicly, "audit" or not. They will literally never, ever pass an unclassified audit, ever.
I recall many years ago when the DOD was in the midst of BRAC (Base Realignment and Closing) and there were bases in GOP districts that were on the closure list and how the GOP representatives who constantly complain about wasteful government spending fought tooth and nail to not close bases in their districts. All fun and games until it affects you!
This isn't the same GOP. Trump decapitated the party. There have been massive changes in who the GOP represents and how they go about doing it over the last 8 years. Try to keep up.
Remember them to. Lived in Virginia Beach and Oceana made the list, that base employees over 100,000 people so it would be big impact on the city. Unfortunately these government cuts have to happen if we want to see any improvement in Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid down the road.
We are in a 4th turning. During one of those more regulation is demanded not less. and just like the FED cut when they should have raised (because that is what the 2 year yield told them to do) people voted for less regulation this go ... and when everyone is suffering they will DEMAND more regulation ... regulation keeps the rich from robbing everyone or at least makes it harder. We are about to let the Rich Hyper Elite take all the guard rails off and if you are not rich expect to be much more poor and have less opportunity... ie. Stagflation like the world has never seen. Be careful. At least stack food. ❤
I worked for a City government and I saw the parks dept. spend 100,000 on flowers and planted them in the middle of October only to have them killed by frost 2 weeks later. I was told that if that money had not been spent that they would not get same amount of funding for the next years budget. I was in a dept. that had 6 crews that went out in trucks to take care of trees in the city. The first thing we did was go get coffee. Then we would make it to the job site and sit in our trucks for 30 to 45 minutes. We would then work for an hour or so and then take 3 hour lunch break and then work for around another hour and then go back to the shop. I only lasted 1 year and then quit.
HOAs are a perfect example of government inefficiency on a smaller scale. Instead of focusing on sustainability and real community needs, they prioritize control over petty details that don’t improve anyone’s life-like blocking solar panels or telling residents to remove potted plants. It’s absurd that while the world moves toward innovation and sustainability, HOAs cling to outdated standards and micromanage their communities. These organizations should be working to support residents, not creating unnecessary obstacles
i lived in a community where the HOA went from $200/mo. to $400/mo. in two years. they were bankrupt, couldn't even make essential repairs like people's roofs that were damaged in a storm, and to top it all off, when a few of the units burned down, those units didn't have any insurance, and so the HOA made every household pay $1300 in a "special assessment" to cover the cost of the build. the units were then promptly sold at a huge profit by the owners, on the backs of everyone else in the community. and five years later, people still have tarps on their roofs. all of this is "legal" according to the bylaws of the HOA.
Hoas aren't part of the government, though. Most, if not all(cant seem to find a single one so far, update me if you do ) are private organizations created by developers or organizations. They get grants and sometimes disaster relief, but cutting that would barely bring anything back.
😂 oh brother tell the masses what they want to hear. Two of the worst two face trojan horses who are reinventing themselves. Billionaires who got rich working for the ten percent. Never underestimate the ignorance and gullibility of the American people.
5:20 perfect graphic. Everyone should agree with this regardless of politics. Also, fun fact: the last government surplus happened under Clinton. Elimination of wasteful spending had something to do with that.
No politician will ever care about cutting waste and corruption. It's up to journalists and concerned citizens to identify waste and corruption. And it's up to all of us to vote it out of office.
Regardless of political views or thoughts on personnel choices I don’t know how anybody can be against the concept of a government efficiency department to ensure the government isn’t wasting our money.
wasting money like giving 400 million to Elon to blow up rocketships during launch or wasting money by giving millions in free food so our impoverished kids can eat?
My wife works for the government. She tells me that there is easy 40 percent of people who don't do a thing because it's impossible to get fired. Second part is sometimes they have meetings where they pay for your flight ✈️ and hotel and food for a meeting. When it can be done online. Her co workers like it because they see it as a break. My wife hates it because it's time away from our home.
I don't understand the flight part. If they are sending her to a meeting that requires travel, why wouldn't they pay for her flight, lodging and food? Every private company I've worked for has done that...and I've never heard of any that don't.
What's interesting is that, despite we calling ourselves a capitalist nation, we actually have massive government spending and heavy subsidies to corporations, which creates unfair advantages and kills competition. Another little fact is that US government spending as a percentage GDP is actually higher than communist China in 2023.
In truth it’s a mixed economy with a considerable degree of big government. Pure capitalism is an idea, an aim, something to strive for. The reality of the country is government involvement for better or worse. And reality does not always conform neatly to ideas. What’s important to me is the vision of the founders- a small/minimal government republic. I hope we protect that.
@peterbedford2610 just to add, the 25% is federal govenrment spending. If we were to add all levels of governmental spending. Then it is over 36% of GDP.
I heard Vivek mention renegotiating contracts that are overcharging the government as well, so that should add up as well. Government needs to be in a surplus.
No major economy runs in a surplus lol. Especially with the US, we should be spending smartly considering how many basic things we don't get that other developed nations get (universal healthcare etc).
I wonder if they’ll address govt contracting waste, including for Musks contracts? Or how reducing environmental regulations, and oversight will benefit their own businesses?
It will also be the most corrupt job you can do. We don’t want to live in an oligarchy where an unelected businessman has massive power to shut down completion: do you think Elon is going to cut spending on starlink space x or Tesla green credits? I don’t think so, this is just another corrupt scheme by Elon since he was able to buy this election for trump
As Jeremy Clarkson said just yesterday at a protest in the UK, whilst standing outside civil service offices. “Walk into any of the offices round here. If you don’t understand what somebody’s job is, fire them.”
A public audit should be released every state of the union address as part of the addressing. Numbers and an overall explanation or summary. Money talks… and everyone knows what walks. If this is what it takes to have a protected type of audit then so be it. Make it public and open to discourage behind the scenes manipulation. Free money has no accountability to people who receive it. Our taxes are a blank check and free money to the government. These are just Layman words, but it is how I see it personally. Great content once again.
We already have audits. Please educate yourself before speaking on things you known nothing about: don’t just parrot party talking points. We already have the government accountability office and they actually have the power to get rid of inefficiency, unlike dork maga. This is just a corrupt scheme for Elon to shut down competition, and pretty much turns this country into an oligarchy
I belong to Americans for Limited Government, and we really do need to get the U.S. Government reduced because it's gotten so big no one knows what the others are doing. There is no check on each Departments and we have Departments within Departments, which is crazy.
Redundancy and bloat in the government is SUPPOSED to be there. It helps make sure that things don’t fail during abnormal conditions. It’s not a business, it’s a government. It’s not supposed to be efficient, it’s supposed to be full proof. Obviously this is ideal, not reality, but making it “more efficient” means making the government more fragile in the worst ways possible. Not reducing military, but reducing social welfare. Infrastructure. Jobs. Etc.
Not true, this is what happens when you have uninformed people speak lies on huge platforms. We’ve had the government accountability office for decades, and they actually have power to cut spending unlike Mr Dork maga here, who knows nothing about running a governmental organization. Before you repeat your party line, please educate yourself, Elon musk is an idiot who knows nothing and has spread many many lies on twitter and doesn’t get punished for misleading people. Do you honestly think Elon is going to cut government payments or subsidies to space x or Tesla? Doge is just a way for Elon to shut down competition and bring corruption into government
We re being taxed for what we own, what we buy, and what we sell. This department can potentially raise their opinions to the public and be transparent about it. I personally like this idea
The only way to resolve the debt is to strengthen the middle class along with cutting wasteful spending. Elon has a conflict of interest due to leveraging government contracts every chance he gets while Vivek’s only goal is to just get rid of the DoE entirely.
@@flysinsoup Teslas are already cheaper than many cars. I just bought one for my wife with 0% financing. Its the best vehicle money can buy with the best tech available. People have zero idea how good they are because they listen to haters instead of experiencing one for themselves.
@@tabbott429 I have experienced multiple and they're overrated (I believe they're overrated by the tesla fanboys and underrated by the haters). I used to be on the Tsla fanboy train but it's gotten a bit funny with how laughable it is. I will say Tsla is by far the best bang for your buck if you want a car that goes fast - but if you're part of the car community then everyone will just clown you because it's a tsla. And Tsla is cheaper than many cars, but anybody who knows cars and needs a cheap, reliable car will go for a Honda or Toyota in a heartbeat before touching a tesla. And China has undoubtedly cheaper cars than anything created here due to how ownership works over there - I haven't seen a true review of their cars yet but Tsla's quality is not a high bar in the first place.

#3 and #4 is so corporations can run amok, sort of like removing all traffic laws so drivers and do anything; speed, drive recklessly, disregard stop signals and signs, etc.
Exactly. Elon musk just wants to remove safety regulations for teslas so he can sell his self driving feature freely and not worry about the people he kills along the way
Mandatory spending also takes into account all of the wasteful departments that the government has, they plan on getting rid of those departments in their entirety.
Just because our government is telling us how much discretionary is does not make it true. Example of indiscretionary spending. Pentagon was audited by 1700 auditors. The audit cost the taxpayers 174 million. They found that 824 billion was unaccounted for or missing.
It has the potential to be effective. Personally I've seen redundant high wage positions of power and management, however it also has the potential to be worse for the government if they start with the bottom earners or low wage employees. Many Low wage positions could be considered redundant on paper, however a lot of government work performed by low wage employees cannot be accounted for due to the way work is distributed and who takes the credit. This has the potential to fire the people who actually do the work, and keep the middle managers who can't do anything.
No it doesn’t. There is no potential whatsoever. We already have the government accountability office, they do a lot better job that dork MAGA. This is just typical corruption, so Elon can avoid safety regulations and to cut out any competition to Tesla and space x
That’s organizational psychology. Pretty sue Trump went to the Wharton School of Finance. And if he doesn’t know it, doubtful albeit, he knows the right people. Next question
The Non-discretionary budget also has tremendous excess overhead and waste to be cut. The response to COVID alone cost nearly $2 Trillion and has many budget lines that need to be eliminated.
If he hadn't cut the pandemic response team obama put together, we wouldn't have had to spend 2 trillion, cause the damage wouldn't have gotten that extensive. But, you dolts know everything like your president.
As a government employee I would love for someone to trim the bureaucracy. So much of my job is unnecessary paperwork, signatures and reviews when my talents would be better utilized. So many oversite programs have implemented so many useless rules on us.
@cloqueoverangthing some people care more about their children’s future and the future of the country over them making a few easy bucks just lazy selfish people who don’t have the skills to do certain jobs would be bagging groceries for a living if it weren’t for the way it works unfortunately
My biggest issue is focusing solely on cutting costs and not also thinking how to increase government income that won’t drastically harm U.S. citizens. Cutting costs doesn’t really matter if we spend more than we make anyway.
Austerity... did I miss something? No one is talking austerity. Trump is hyperinflationary... well rather... super stagflationary wich is even worse. Now we are taking all the guard rails off. It is going to be fantastic. Stack food.
The house holds the purse, but getting the facts out to the public is huge. Then hopefully the groundswell of the public's outrage of the waste will work. Thanks for the video Brian.
Worked as a government contractor in Kuwait and Afghanistan. At every job I saw fraud, waste, and abuse. From time card abuse(normal at every job), new equipment destroyed, (when a unit left theater) and staff that did little work yet had the most hours worked per week. Another huge waste was an army unit and contractors doing the same job together. Multiple logistics sites had double the manpower needed to get the job done.
And yet....🙄 My army cousin threatened suicide if they ever sent him back to Afghanistan. They sent him to Japan to monitor coms in N. Korea, thank goodness!
It's so you have backups and continuity. Humans aren't robots. They get sick, take leave, have emergencies, could pass away or just quit. You overfill the job in case if this and so you don't overwork your staff who could quit because of being overworked.
I don't know if this is intentional or not, but he left out a lot of valid concerns over the department. An unthoughtful viewer may really believe that the department is all positive, when objectively it is sketchy, at best. And I am no democrat, don't reply at me with whataboutisms, I am all for eliminating government waste. What I am not for, is removing corporate accountability and defunding necessary social programs that people rely on, all pointed out by these mythical, "super high iq patriotic volunteer workers."
he's trying to not lose an audience but we know who the evil one is and he's cutting spending so he can give the rich tax cuts. We're not stupid. OK OK you magas are stupid.
They may not be able to change anything themselves but like you said they can make suggestions and those suggestions can be acted upon by people in power. Still something that needs to be done.
One of the main things about DOGE is Transparency between government and we the people. This will make a great impact for Americans to protest what we want out or in.
DOGE is a game changer! Thank you so much for explaining the details. It'll be difficult, but look at the alternative. We have no choice but to CUT CUT CUT and drain that swamp!
I like the sentiment, but having people work 80 plus hours for little to no pay isn't feasible. Bills needs to be paid. Not sure how things could get done.
Oh that's easy... they did this so only rich people will do the job. Are you getting it yet? This is a literal war on the poor. Which to them is anyone making less than $500k a year.
I know some people are at odds with Trump, but we should all be in favor of becoming more efficient with our government money (aka our tax dollars) or at LEAST the attempt of doing so.
Don't simply retire from something; have something to retire to. Start saving, keep saving, and stick to investments. Everyone should have BTC in their portfolio
Some persons think inves'tin is all about buying stocks; I think going into the stock market without a good experience is a big risk, that's why I'm lucky to have seen someone like mr Brian C Nelson.
I agree with you wholeheartedly! Our money is and has been wasted for years. One of the reports I have heard is that taxpayer money is being used to provide rental places for federal employees that aren't using them and in fact have not returned to work since the covid-19 crisis.
Here's another example of government inefficiency and corruption. So, there's people who are covered by Medicare for health and dental through private insurance companies, but most dentists don't accept that insurance, and the ones that do, do not take new patients. As a result, there's plenty of people who do not have access to basic dental care, but the government paying for their insurance, and they're "covered." In reality that dental insurance costs about $36/month to buy it and get accepted by most dentists for basic cleaning and stuff. This is happening in states. I'm not sure if Elon Musk would be able to do something about it, but I think that a change is coming.
He won’t don’t worry. This is just so he can remove regulations for teslas and space x. Just plain old corruption. We already have the government accountability office they actually have the power to remove wasteful spending and inefficiency. If you think a billionaire cares about you or your safety you are mistaken. He just wants to make more money no matter how much people die from his self driving feature
I agree with you completely. Musk has a vested interest in getting rid of the agencies that are investigating his companies for wrong doing. This is asking the fox to guard the hen house.
@@shenamariscal6200not billionaires, they are going to look out for themselves first. For example musk wouldn’t cut electric vehicle subsidies, but he’d cut department of education…. Self interest is going to make this less successful
@@BHPOfficial There's not a single person that could hold the position without having a potential upside. In my opinion, who would be the least likely to take advantage of possible upsides? Possibly the man who needs the money the least? Elon Musk? The richest man in the world?
Brian, you will be a great person for this project. You have earned the trust and credibility of your viewers, which is a good start. Are you going to volunteer ? It is a thankless job though.
This is how it should be. People who really care and love America should be making decisions. Meaning in a voluntarily basis for the top roles. Supporting roles can be paid professionals. But you cannot be corruption free when there is always an incentive to enrich yourselves.
funneling funds from care for illegals to care for veterans and citizens would be great. And Yes, there is a difference between illegal immigrants , and those relocating to the USA for citizenship.
Don't just say DOGE is problem it's not started yet and wait and see how the DOGE will do, if they do what they were supposed to do then it's best for the country
I know that for a fact in 1982 A Indian from India bought a motel with govt grant money and defaulted on the loan and his brother and family members did the same they now own a hell a lot of motels up and down 95 north and south . in Virginia I saw the damn paperwork he showed out to me Every 7 years they would default a new loan That’s were our money is going You really think we should pay taxes lol
I can't move out of my parents house, I can't afford healthcare, but don't worry my state funds free housing, healthcare, food, and transportation for illegal immigrants! And yes it's all public and it's not a conspiracy theory.
These people are not patriots. They have brainwashed everyone into letting them (the hyper rich elites) take all the guard rails off to steal even more from everyone else. It is going to be fantastic. We deserve everything come at us and I think it is going to be horrible. NO what we need is the rich elites to get the F*@K out of our politics not let them do more. People are insane. When we get what is coming... and it will be very apparent... please make sure you aplogize.
You say that about 5,7 tril is “necessary spending,” so it can’t be cut, but that’s the WHOLE POINT of doing this is that we all know it ISN’T REALLY NECESSARY. The government is only telling us it’s necessary
You really think that there are not true patriots out there that would love to help drain the swamp, and they don't need paid to do it? Do you know how little common soldiers in the civil war were paid? Do you know how little food and basics they were provided to put their own lives on the line? Sounds like you don't and definitely don't have the American spirit that made America great.
I'm retired, bored and would do it for free just to screw the government the way they've screwed us. But I will not travel for work, that's inefficient and cost money when "Starlink" exists.

The problem with USA's govt's various departments is that they have to show that they spend A LOT to get more for next year's budget! They should be rewarded for how much they save, rather than the other way around!
Well apparently they're using sla v ery to balance it out Or more realistically, other rich people. Man the red party sure loves bowing down to the wealthy
I did some small research this morning and I read that Brazil did this in the 90s (I believe) and it *staved off hyperinflation. It was coupled with a economic freeze, but as a result they got rid of 50k government jobs and helped cut 10% of inflation in a week or similar

I have a few questions: 1. In the mandatory spending side of the house, if there are waste of money or duplication of services are we required to spend that money? Medicaid/medicare/ VA services for example 2. Can the Executive branch or President Trumpet make cuts to spending within that branch? 3. If they are able to find savings can they make direct payments to the national debt. Or are they required to spend it?
I have over $824K in debt and I do not own anything; I will continue to take debt as much as I can...All I know is I will NEVER pay it back, I pay the bare minimum
Maybe if Elon started to pay taxes, stop his companies from living out of subsidies, tax cuts, carbon credits etc, the USA would not have to cut spending
Even if they cut 2T, I'm sure Trump will spend even more like his last candidacy... not to mention the next administration will continue the incessant spending. It's an American government tradition that is too addicting, no matter who holds power.
True. It's been the reality for decades. Our debt to gdp skyrocketed since 1980 though. Reagan, Bush, and Trump did literally nothing, like literally nothing to reduce the deficit.
Are you kidding me? 1-Tesla has the best margins in the auto industry 2-Tesla has the best selling car in the world 2 years in a row 3-Elon actually WANTS to cut all EV and ICE subsidies 4-Cutting tax rebates for EVs will only hurt other car manufacturers, not Tesla.
You’ve been talking about how the Fed is going to choose hyperinflation because so much of our budget is just servicing our debt. From that perspective, DOGE may be our best bet to save the economy going forward.
You should apply and make a mini UA-cam docu series of it. You have the i.q. and common sense and the series could support you financially while you help the country. 😁
I’m a fed employee. Instead of pushing many of us ba k into the office that are half empty even before c-19 they should give us a monthly stipend to cover cell phone, WiFi, printer/paper cost each month and get rid of a lot of these buildings! They are spending millions on leases which is a total waste!
You can't buy alcohol and cigarettes on EBT, so why not cut out soda and chips and designated junk food? The poor are so obese and diabetic, it's taking a LOT of Medicare and Medicaid is being spent on obese poor people who literally get EBT because they are too unhealthy to work! They should have mandatory health classes before handing out that card, and show improvement to keep it. Also, please, please keep in mind that some people on social security receive their SS payments via the same EBT cards, at least in California. People who were so poor they didn't have bank accounts, and it's safer than having a check stolen from the mail. So if you see someone, a senior or their caregiver using an EBT card to get cash, think twice before you go off on them.

I would put money on convenient cuts to nasa with a kickback to space x because private industries drivin by profits can do everything better but elon wouldnt be making those suggestions to better himself at all
Elon is a huge fan of NASA. NASA doesn't launch rockets so why would Elon cut their funding? NASA has been relying on Russia to get astronauts to the space station for decades. When NASA did launch rockets they were HIGHLY inefficient at it. If Space X did anything it was actually increase NASAs budget because it brought down the cost of launching rockets from 250 million down to 80 million. But I'm sure you already knew all that.
The two trillion is there. I was a government employee until 2021 and the amount of waste and theft is staggering. And it's always worse than what you can prove. You can cut government in half with zero effect in services rendered.
Let's not forget that Musk Fired 80% of the workers at Twitter and the company is still working just fine if not better ! Government subsidies is a area that needs to be looked into for sure including the vehicle tax credit on EV's, if you want a EV then go buy a EV but don't make me pay for it ! I see DOGE as a great idea and hope it gets done what needs to be done or at least a good start !
The big problem with this approach is if DOGE is not contracted by the government, or in any way making revenue to support operations, and there is no compensation to contributors, then it is plausible nothing substantial will get done. They have to offer compensation in some form.

@@TKUA11 It's one example among tens of thousands of insane government boondoggles.
Our HOA is awesome! Volunteers doing whatever they can to maintain the properties and not raise the HOA plus total transparency in finances
i lived in a community where the HOA went from $200/mo. to $400/mo. in two years. they were bankrupt, couldn't even make essential repairs like people's roofs that were damaged in a storm, and to top it all off, when a few of the units burned down, those units didn't have any insurance, and so the HOA made every household pay $1300 in a "special assessment" to cover the cost of the build.
the units were then promptly sold at a huge profit by the owners, on the backs of everyone else in the community. and five years later, people still have tarps on their roofs. all of this is "legal" according to the bylaws of the HOA.
Hoas aren't part of the government, though. Most, if not all(cant seem to find a single one so far, update me if you do ) are private organizations created by developers or organizations. They get grants and sometimes disaster relief, but cutting that would barely bring anything back.
Some are good. People only notice when they are bad. It's human nature.
I love my HOA. They keep out the people who hate HOA’s. Usually dirty or rule breakers.
We love you Clearview Tax. Don’t ever change. These videos are great, man.

Then there's the problem, where will these people go to work?
That happens in every company . Im sure other ppl complain about ur wife being lazy and not doing sht . So 😂
I don't understand the flight part. If they are sending her to a meeting that requires travel, why wouldn't they pay for her flight, lodging and food? Every private company I've worked for has done that...and I've never heard of any that don't.
yeah but people like elon do not believe in "remote work". he's always been against it
Trump 2025
Yup. Government spending is over 25% of the GDP.
Lobbying = facism
@peterbedford2610 just to add, the 25% is federal govenrment spending. If we were to add all levels of governmental spending. Then it is over 36% of GDP.
Socialism for the rich , rugged individualism for the people
I’m pretty sure Musk got some subsidies for Tesla
I heard Vivek mention renegotiating contracts that are overcharging the government as well, so that should add up as well. Government needs to be in a surplus.
No major economy runs in a surplus lol. Especially with the US, we should be spending smartly considering how many basic things we don't get that other developed nations get (universal healthcare etc).
It won't be. You know Trump was in office 4 years ago right? You should look at what happened to the deficit every year he was in office. It went up.

And still nothing has been done. No investigation, no arrests, no nothing.
That's down from the usual trillion
Except this time you've got a guy who knows that.
That’s organizational psychology. Pretty sue Trump went to the Wharton School of Finance. And if he doesn’t know it, doubtful albeit, he knows the right people.

The Non-discretionary budget also has tremendous excess overhead and waste to be cut. The response to COVID alone cost nearly $2 Trillion and has many budget lines that need to be eliminated.
The response to covid cost so much because no one was prepared for it.
If he hadn't cut the pandemic response team obama put together, we wouldn't have had to spend 2 trillion, cause the damage wouldn't have gotten that extensive. But, you dolts know everything like your president.

And yet....🙄
My army cousin threatened suicide if they ever sent him back to Afghanistan. They sent him to Japan to monitor coms in N. Korea, thank goodness!

Here's another example of government inefficiency and corruption. So, there's people who are covered by Medicare for health and dental through private insurance companies, but most dentists don't accept that insurance, and the ones that do, do not take new patients. As a result, there's plenty of people who do not have access to basic dental care, but the government paying for their insurance, and they're "covered." I guess I won’t be able to charge the city for an 89k toilet plus labor and lunches. 😂
The dollar sucks. Inflation is forever. It’s impossible for it to stop. Buy Bitcoin, thank me in 20 years
Brics and bitcoin… americas finished and is now in a state of collapse…
I have a few questions:
1. In the mandatory spending side of the house, if there are waste of money or duplication of services are we required to spend that money? Medicaid/medicare/ VA services for example
Yeah here's the detaiIed breakdown: start with 586, follow with
666, and finish the rest with
4905. That's my digits, I will wait that
Maybe if Elon started to pay taxes, stop his companies from living out of subsidies, tax cuts, carbon credits etc, the USA would not have to cut spending
The corrupt are going to stop corruption. Yeah right....
FINALLY!!!! Someone gets it!
Bill Clinton also balanced the budget
Don't expect that to happen... lol
@ , oh I definitely don’t.
That’s why he got away with 💦
Very briefly but Bill clinton was last to do it is true.
Bill Clinton also raped and assassinated dozens of people
Hi Brian!
Hi PreciousD! Happy Wednesday!
Really great video. Thank you. And thank you for not being political. It's nice to hear fair and reasonable opinions on stuff like this.
Great video! Very informative and not biased.
Even if they cut 2T, I'm sure Trump will spend even more like his last candidacy... not to mention the next administration will continue the incessant spending. It's an American government tradition that is too addicting, no matter who holds power.
Yep, if the government drastically cuts spending then the economy collapses. So they push the can down the road as the path of least resistance...
True. It's been the reality for decades. Our debt to gdp skyrocketed since 1980 though. Reagan, Bush, and Trump did literally nothing, like literally nothing to reduce the deficit.
I'll believe it when it actually happens. Both parties have always loved spending money.
The one guy here who realizes Republicans lie about being against spending. I believed their bs for way too long.
@@willjapheth23789 Yup both parties lie. People that believe their party is honest is unbelievably brainwashed.
We should cut government spending on ev emission credits that are the only thing keeping Tesla profitable
Elon has said multiple times to cut them that Tesla doesn’t need it a simple google search would show you that
Are you kidding me?
1-Tesla has the best margins in the auto industry
2-Tesla has the best selling car in the world 2 years in a row
3-Elon actually WANTS to cut all EV and ICE subsidies
4-Cutting tax rebates for EVs will only hurt other car manufacturers, not Tesla.
Credits actually keep Tesla’s competitors around. Tesla cars have about a 20% profit margin.
You’ve been talking about how the Fed is going to choose hyperinflation because so much of our budget is just servicing our debt. From that perspective, DOGE may be our best bet to save the economy going forward.
I was in @TimeSquare during the Clinton Admin. And witnessed when i saw the building showing our deficit going down to our budget. Felt good.
6:57 The compensation is zero 😂😂😂😂 good luck!
I like this direction but Elon saying 2 trillion is basically him saying 500 billion as he over estimates everything
Let’s hope Congress goes along with cuts.
Deceivers acting on the world stage.
Do you have proof or are you blowing smoke?
You should apply and make a mini UA-cam docu series of it. You have the i.q. and common sense and the series could support you financially while you help the country. 😁
Would like us to meet.
We all love how you keep it real and straight forward and to the point.
Right on fighting corruption and waste with corruption and waste
that's the trump way
Federal push to EV vehicles is one that should be stopped.
Already has
Trump already has. Not even in office yet.
I want cleaner air though. Pollution sucks.
@@i_like_beer-o2f ev's at best push pollution somewhere else in our fish bowl.

"Yeah. It's a hustle." - Elon Musk
Fantastic Brian! You are the best!
I’m a fed employee. Instead of pushing many of us ba k into the office that are half empty even before c-19 they should give us a monthly stipend to cover cell phone, WiFi, printer/paper cost each month and get rid of a lot of these buildings! They are spending millions on leases which is a total waste!
Get rid of food stamps that pays for junk food. And unnecessary items.
Yeah no freedom. How about food becomes a basic right?
And remove benefits for half the people on disability. Nearly everyone I've met is perfectly capable of work.
@killianl.1949
How about being able to have a food garden being restored as a basic right in some of these over nanny controlled states? We have to listen to loud cars, loud motorcycles and loud trains, loud music blasting, but gawd help you if you have chickens!
@ShowMeWhatINeedToKnow
My husband is perfectly capable of doing the office work he used to do now that a stroke has him numb down his left side and is walking with a cane. No. One. Will. Hire. Him.
I would put money on convenient cuts to nasa with a kickback to space x because private industries drivin by profits can do everything better but elon wouldnt be making those suggestions to better himself at all
Right
Elon is a huge fan of NASA.
NASA made a 750 million dollar profit this year.
Can’t wait 👍🏾
If you think they’re not layoff the middle class and poor, you’re more naive than I thought.
Twitter is trash.
Twitter has been hemorrhaging money. But sure its doing great. 😂😂😂
Nobody with a high IQ will work 80+ hours for free. They will eventually settle for Marjorie Taylor green. 😁
ouch the truth hurts
What, they will accept the developmentally disabled?
WHY does DOGE get security clearance on US secrets from outside the government????
Getting clearance doesnt necessarily give them need to know or access. Contractor consultants also get clearances this is normal.
And why does Trump get security clearance when he is a convicted felon? Normally felons don't get that.
They'll reach at least $2 trillion by also laying off half the FBI, FDA, and all the DoE 😂
2 trillion a year or on the 10 year budget outlook.
just the right amount for tax cuts for the rich. Brian don't pretend this isn't true.
DOGE has no authority, they can only put in recommendations. Congress has to vote 60-40 to pass any changes. No side has 60 seats
The big problem with this approach is if DOGE is not contracted by the government, or in any way making revenue to support operations, and there is no compensation to contributors, then it is plausible nothing substantial will get done. They have to offer compensation in some form.
