I had a 95 BMW M3 that had the headliner start drooping....took it to a guy in downtown Orlando, FL who worked on nothing but European cars. We talked about his methods and he showed me the 3M adhesive he used, which came in 5-gallon buckets which he described as "extremely expensive." Which explains why the average Joe doesn't use it. Also explains why he charged $500 to restore that headliner. Thanks for this....your patience and craftsmanship is truly impressive.

What I enjoy so much Mike is that you are not Afraid to Venture into New territory you Head straight forward and you take us with you for the adventure and if anything happens we experience it with you Nothing Fake about you and Thank you for being the Real Deal, it keeps everything Fresh and interesting, unlike another channel I won't mention their name that record's and repeats the same boring Bullshit Can I get All my Chins and Fat Ass in this Copart Tesla 🤣 or and thinks because of the friend's he's purchased Who praise him, he thinks he's got it all together. What I appreciate WB is how you just own up when something goes wrong and then show us how you get it right. Too many YT channels just show perfect results every time and we all know that just doesn't happen.
That Sir was a mighty fine job and it looks factory. An unbelievable restoration from something that was really scrap. And yes black headliner ....

Great perseverance, Mike, and the finished result makes it really worthwhile! Anything with 3M on the label is a good choice, and the 3M90 was perfect for that job. If you ever need something with even more "grip", try the 3M Panelbond, which is a fully certified 'structural adhesive' and is even used to stick bridges together (only Interstate bridges though, not railroad ones, apparently...)

from what I learnt in this since I will need to do a cracked dash as well soon...take it little by little. Dont spray too much glue trying to work on a big area. Have clean hands and pray to god you dont have overspray from the glue on the vinyl. So far I'm thinking of going to the painting route, but we'll see. Just gotta figure out if the paint that I'll be using can be polished or treated the same way as leather/vinyl does when it comes to keeping it like new.

First I saw that dash I really thought it was beyond repair. But wow what a beautiful job you did. It actually looks brand new. You are awesome.

Just an awesome job Mike! It looks amazing and I admire your willingness to not give up no matter how tough it gets. I know some youtubers that the least little thing they give up and sell the car as soon as possible.
