Waking up anyone who might be sleeping!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣LMAO Love the U.K. , it’s traditions, the Brits, the Commonwealth, and it’s Realms! I am an American!
Every one of these men would lay their life down for their King...............the beauty and loyalty of it all is heartwarming and makes you feel so proud of them all.
More the Country, their Mum, their kids, and the bloke beside them on the battlefield. They won’t be thinking of Charlie 3rd in the heat of the moment.
Roll on Sunday. I'm a veteran, but we're expected to behave intelligently. Being told what to do, without reason, by the Archbosh, in flagrant disregard to centuries of Statute Monarchy, has revolted me. Jingoism was discredited a hundred years ago, and the sooner you get this out of your system, the better. We fight for the Nation, not the figurehead. We're loyal to the Nation, and in my case, God, and that doesn't change. Being put into a feudal oath without any of that by this city financier in a dress (he was BP's Treasury Director before entering the Church, something that should have given an ecologically-minded individual pause for thought before accepting consecration as the Head of the Church of England) is enough to turn my stomach. True, he said it wasn't compulsory, but that misses the point: we're a democracy now, and that oath undoes it.
What are you doing tonight…oh, just taking a little musical march through the streets of London…bliss and bless them all! Let’s see more of this…it brings such cheer and happiness.
God bless every soldier and everyone that has worked selflessly, loyally. The rehearsals for the coronation of King Charles III are incredible I know on the day of the coronation it will be spectacular . Be proud of yourself because we are. This little Kiwi absolutely loves what you have created ,seemingly with little effort but we all know how much work has really gone into this spectacular creation
So beautifully recorded, Military Bands Everywhere. Bless your heart! I'm watching this from a hospital in Canada, and so grateful you were ready, willing, and able to get this on video for us!!
Thank you very Susan, I am glad you enjoyed and felt that you could experience these special rehearsals! I hope everything gets better soon in hospital.
I thought I was going mad as I thought - is that marching music in the early of the day before sunrise before I finished my night shift lol. So it was this! Amazing! Looking forward to today as we have pole position to see most of this from our apartment 👍 God Save Our King! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I cant imagine anyone not watchiing the Coronation. We Brits know how to do the Pomp, Circumstance and Ceremony! We also know know to defend these Islands. Long live the King, and Queen. God Save them stay safe and stay 🎉❤
Oh how I wish I could sit and hear all your remembrances of those events! Us Yanks across the pond have no clue how to celebrate with grandeur and pomp.
Absolutely awesome. To see the different bands of all the various Regiments plus the Royal Marines, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force. Makes one proud to be British.
3:55 Magnificent display of uniforms.,tradition, class soldiers and music, Royal salute a big favorite of mine, i first heard it played by the life guards and blues and royals at a Bedfordshire tattoo as their marching formation had them peel off into two rotating circles. A big hello to Big Ben
This is once in a lifetime event never to be missed Even the rehearsal is excellent all the units are in their expected best performance I hope I live to see William The Second an English King rather than the Norman Kam Teik Beng
@@jongulliver984 Thanks for the correction I got all mixed up Didn’t realize there were three Williams after William the Conqueror That’s what I like about Quora real time learning
Best way to see ceremonial London is to watch the rehearsals in the nights leading up to the event. My admiration goes out to all the services involved but I have to say GSM Vern Stokes has my total respect and awe in achieving this. To watch him pace sticking the route night after night to get it right is a sight to be seen. This lone figure in the night on whose shoulders it all rests. The atmosphere is something the tv will never convey. Her Majesty’s funeral was extroidinary with regard to atmosphere in London.
Robert Browne Hall wrote that one, Death or Glory and a bunch of others they like to play. He was born in Maine and grew up in Waterville. Every year they actually celebrate Robert Brown Hall day. He spent most of his life about $2 from broke busted. His first march he paid someone $25 to arrange for him and he said never again. From that point on he did all his own arranging. But he did die penniless despite selling quite a few pieces. He loved music more than a lavish lifestyle and his marches prove his talent.
I totally admire all these soldiers, sailors and airmen and have great respect for their service to God and Country. One question. "Isn't there a height restriction for servicemen/women? Some of these soldiers would seem lucky to get over 5feet.
By far and away the best band on show the British Army Band Catterick, a proper brass band sound without the woodwind fantastic, about time the other bands took a leaf out of their books and dropped the woodwind who sound like a load of cats falling out.
Yes. The Massed Guards Bands are marching in ranks of 3 each in the massed band to fit around the roads of London so to split them up to march from Waterloo they had 3 ranks of Grenadiers, 2 of Scots. 1 Scot’s, 3 Welsh and 1 Irish and then 2 Irish and Coldstream files to create each band of 5.
Haaaaaa! Bless them...basically are exercising in to the dark the Parade for the purpose of Coronation ♡♧☆ This was for "The Queen Elizabeth II JUBILEE "; saim they now do for the purpose of Coronation of King CHARLES III
They marched past after the sat band in the video, The Royal Air Force. Unfortunately I had to leave due to other commitments and could not film these marching past.
I know your site is called military bands everywhere, but show the whole damned parade would you. Or do the you think that the soldiers behind the band are irrelevant?
I do not think they are irrelevant. My channel just specialises in the military bands and at the moment due to it being before the coronation I didn’t want to reveal the entire coronation procession or indeed the full parade from Waterloo. There will be plenty of other videos around showing the soldiers behind the band but none others focussing on the musicians.
Same here in New Zealand ❤ really looking forward to it. Bottle of wine to hand as its Saturday evening here. Born in Liverpool in England and saw the last Coronation live in 1953!

Add on all the time polishing boots, pressing trousers and shining all those buttons etc.

Fabulous video!
I do believe 6:04 is Officer of the Day, not Red Cloak, only thing I noticed 😊
You are very correct. I must have played Officer of the Day 1,000 times. 😳

Thanks for that, it was a very long day so I do apologise for the slip up in my tiredness. I’ve amended the description now! 👍
Not "The Red Cloak", but R..B.Hall's "Officer of tthe Day"
Death or Glory fabulous
Maravillosa demostración. Esos jóvenes deben estar agotados y tendrán que descansar un poco. Veré la ceremonia por televisión desde mi país 🇨🇴🇨🇴. 👍
05/04/23: Good luck with the Coronation happening during Mercury Rx!
Haven’t heard or played new colonial for years nice change
It's Officer of the Day not Red Cloak at 6:01
😎👍❤️🇬🇧

God Save The King
What March was finishing at 7:30? Also, I don’t think the Sandhurst band were playing Arromanches? I can’t quite remember what it’s called though!
Did they combine the band members of the Grenadier and Scots Guards?

6:03 the march is "Officer of the Day" by R.B. Hall, not Red Cloak.

Marchs are better at night
What about the Scottish military bands & bagpipes? They are huge part of Uk history & monarch
They marched past after the sat band in the video, The Royal Air Force. Unfortunately I had to leave due to other commitments and could not film these marching past.
Never thought I'd hear american marches for a British coronation pretty cool
I bet at the patients at St Thomas’ were pissed off with that at 4am! 😂
Imagine living in apartments close by, kept awake til breakfast time with the rehearsals.
Fuck no, I go to bed to this.
Was Harry in th RAF?
What are the red sashes for please
They represent rank, usually of Sgt or above.
Ni una gaita escocesa...me re contra cag0 en la 0stia...
Uniforms will be rank by Saturday
Gee suss Sean, don't you wear fresh deodorant each day. Anyway, their 'dress uniform' is in their wardrobe ready for Saturday. 🙄🤔😂😂
Just watched a documentary new uniforms been made for them for 6th may
Wrong Sean boy.

Empty heads
Why are they doing in at 4am. It's so obnoxious to do it at that time
It is the easiest way to cause minimum disruption with road closures that will effect less people than if it was to happen in the day.
I slep with this on anyway.
一個徹徹底底沒落,毫無底氣的帝國,請別再裝模作樣了!
Yet, you are here watching this video and making hateful comment. Move along CCP troll‼️
They still make wonderful music!
You know we say on st pat,s day, everybody is Irish. I,ve got to say, this week-end, I want to be English. Cheers.
