I felt like I was right there in the crowd cheering. What a pleasant change from all the motormouths on TV not giving you a chance to hear the bands yesterday. As a former member of the ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE regimental band, now disbanded this was a real treat. At least they kept the musical ride which we used to supply music for on tours, and five of them were in the parade. Thanks a million for this video, very much appreciated.🇨🇦🎷🎺🥁👑🍁

Rain, but absolutely no dampened spirits. A fantastic view of all the contingents, so much better than the television coverage. Great picture and sound quality. Thank you so much for sharing this magnificent spectacle, the largest concentration of troops in London for 70 years.
A parade of national pride rather than boasting of military might. So wonderful to see the product of nearly 10 centuries of the evolution of a society. Where else in the world has a country continued such a climb toward peace and enlightenment. They didn't always get it right but they recognised missteps and worked to do better.
Outstanding, amazing parade by all units. Many thanks from US Marine retired. Will visit London and Liverpool in July. Best of my service days were shared with British Marines and Sailors in Portsmouth Naval Base area...Semper Fidelis.
Many thanks for sharing this. The bbc or sky didn’t show much of the procession at all even though I watched the entire in full to spot my son! My son was very well captured by you as part of the navy officers. I can’t thank you enough for capturing the special memory for me. Thank you again
BBC2 did show quite a bit of it accompanied by a couple of Whispering Jack Smiths (one male, one female) who wittered all the way through spoiling the music and sounding like they were just gossiping between themselves.

@@JoshuaMeshua Sadly I don't have an official list of all the marches played by all the Bands on Parade! I just name the ones I know from memory. I do have comments on other videos/channels of about every part of the procession, which might help you find some of the marches played by the Bands in front or behind you. That's fantastic that you took part in the Parade! Huge respect!

The overlap between each band is significant as every band played the same list of music as the whole parade was in lockstep and the bass drummers beat the same beat along the whole parade. So the lead units heard the same music the last units heard. CRAZY! Utterly astounding discipline to get 4,000 people to step off as one. The music was as always excellent.
As others have said, we were somewhat robbed of the chance to see the bands in the parade. I really wanted to get up to London to see this but life got in the way. So thank you so so much for recording and posting this - for me the best part of these parades.

As a child we had the Green Howards "Beating the Retreat" when one of our many Yorkshire Regiments existed. Now many amalgamated. Too few troops, loss of Regiments and local ties. Rishi Sunak is Not Fit For Purpose, let Penny Morduant in, with her Sword, and Make GB and NI Great Again. God Save the King.

British born living in Canada - said to hubby 'lIsten to the cheers for the Navy' (dad was an RN sailor) then the RCMP came by on their beautiful black horses -very proud of the whole parade ! ❤❤

Not mentioned enough is the sheer excellence of how they got 4,000 Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Aviators to, at ONE command, from ONE RSM to step off at the same time and have the same drumbeat (and music) across the whole parade. The front ranks were in step with the last ranks who were a mile back. And then at Buckingham Palace they merged 12 across into 6 across to enter the gate. All done at one command and without fault. No one, but NO ONE, does these occasions like us Brits.
Big deal. Russia does it 2x as big every year in Moscow. This is small fry compared to China's 2019 National Day Parade. Get over it. That said, I would love to have seen the Coronation Navy Review of King George V.

Agreed. MSM was underwhelming. Lack of knowledge and poor coverage of parade in general. This is first time i have seen the march past. This filmer deserves the licence fee. I do wish CANZ had larger contingents marching separately. Well Done Lads and Lasses.

I watched the full coronation broadcast and felt robbed because I was so looking forward to seeing the parade in full. I’d heard so much about it and couldn’t believe it wasn’t shown in full even it it was first and foremost about the Coronation (which we did rightly see the whole of) .Why couldn’t they have given the option of watching the parade in its entirety? Thank goodness for things like this; the biggest chunk of the parade I’ve seen so far! I remember last year’s platinum jubilee when the Irish Guards were trooping their colour. They were seen entering the Mall and the next shot of them was when they were entering Horseguards, not a glimpse of them marching down the Mall. Thank you for this, it was marvellous to see. I’ll have more searches for more of the same on UA-cam. (Feel especially glad for those who saw their relatives marching in this video because they wouldn’t have had much chance yesterday!)😊
I was allowed to cross train on 3 occasions with the British Military(2ND Airborne, 22nd SAS) in my career. I am SO GLAD WE ARE ALLIES!!! God Save the KING!!!
Very proud to be of British decent and a proud subject of the King of Canada. It's not easy marching in ranks that wide. Brings back memories of my days in the CF. Pre-Constitution days. Recruit depot was tough as hell. Very disciplined forces and quite large back then. Then came the end of the cold war and we got out of the Armed Forces job.
I served in the Norwegian Royal Guards and I have marched in many parades including one for the late Queen Elizabeth which was pretty great. But I have to say this was a great show with great marching and music. Wish I was there and I hope those that were had loads of fun. Only thing I found a bit strange was that the British Royal Guards weren't walking in front of the parade but further behind. In Norway the Royal Guards will be the first ones in any parade.
Great video. Sky and bbc were crap. These boys and girls were out training for this parade after midnight for days, but the tv companies showed us nothing of this as usual. I wonder who the directors and editors are who decide what to show. They are very poor as usual
That was brilliant what a lovely March past of our armed forces and commonwealth forces marching together Also I would like to say how smart the police on duty looked in their dress uniforms I can remember when the police looked like that all the time in the sixties

Great video. Sky and bbc were crap. These boys and girls were out training for this parade after midnight for days, but the tv companies showed us nothing of this as usual. I wonder who the directors and editors are who decide what to show. They are very poor as usual

It's such a spectacle that can't be done on the cheap. And by contrast a joyful event for the military ,its a shame it rained.
Why no Pipes and Drums? Especially when you have multiple pipe bands from the Commonwealth who would have loved to play. Would have taken it to another level.
I saw pipes and drums in another UA-cam video but they were coming from Waterloo. You might have to do some searching
