This should have been on the BBC,
Well they offloaded the Royal Tournament asap in '99, and only show the Edinburgh Tattoo because it's in Scotland!! You see, our National Broadcaster actually despises it's own Country and people.
George Orwell summed it up quite well in his essay "The Lion and the Unicorn".
What is wrong with the beeb? They are not what they used to be..(?)
The BBC stands for Bash Britain Continuously.
The Bands of the RM probably don’t meet the BBC’s BAME quota so they aren’t interested in airing it. As soon as it’s defunded the better
You must be their last audience member, we’re tired of their bullish!t
The big question is why is this not on primetime television? It seems what our society needs today is a healthy dose of patriotism, pride literally rammed down their throats, and who better to do it than our brave boys (and girls of course) of our armed forces. People who they can look up to and aspire to be. His Majesty the King is the perfect role model to lead this resurrection of national pride.
My own thoughts exactly it beggars belief that this is not on prime time tv like the Edinburgh Tattoo
Agree 100% this should deffo be on prime time tv for sure.
maybe because mountie was a pervert/sexual deviant !
Also a shame it's not televised in Australia as well. I have watched this about 6 times now, as well as other years it's been on. I am hooked to say the least.
Simple $$$$
Note to UA-cam controllers: At events like this, put the infernal adverts on during the applause! There's nothing worse than having a superb piece of music cut off in the middle of the final bar.
That finale piece. A brilliant arrangement of a masterpiece of 'modern classical' music from Thomas Bergersen, a 42 year old musical genius. He is creating some absolute gems which will be listened to many years into the future.
Thomas Bergersen is the only person that can make epic music sound emotional.
That was absolutely amazing! Not ashamed at all to admit the tribute to Queen Elizabeth bought a tear to my eye, what a wonderful tribute. Fantastic work by all the musicians and singers as always!
me too, and I'm not even british. it's as a shared nun died...

This is normal for me - incredibly moving….especially with the hymn background. Tears in eyes… the innocent yet knowing face and the sticking out ears which were all parallels with our youthful King Charles lll
Overwhelming. Tears in my eyes. Rio, May 2024.
SUPER
Glad you enjoyed it 👏
What a nice surprise to see this. Didn’t now this concert was going online today 😀. Nice way to spend my Saturday evening
me also... i haven't known i could see them "live" online
As an Ex Serviceman (British Army) Multiple deployments to some pretty horrific countries .....this helps ease the pain.. thank you!!
Thats what is meant for...tks for yr service.
Thank you for your service.
I was there. I flew in London from Italy for the concert. something around 1000 GBP spent (40 punds ticket...) and I can say it was worh it. will be back in 2024!
Bloody Hell Marines. You reduced a 76 year old man to tears. What a performance, particularly the tribute to Her Majesty the Queen, very well done. Terrific performance from everyone, a wonderful sound!
Greetings from USA. What a delight to watch this live. Congratulations to Lt. Col. Jase Burcham and everyone involved in this endeavor-well done!
What a great Concert! Greetings from Germany, to our british Friends
Even tho I didn’t watch it live when it came out because of work, I keep watching this show over and over for two weeks! Everything is perfect: the arrangements, the soloists, the choir and the musicians/singers.. 🥹 brought tears to my eyes more than once and I can’t wait to be able to attend to one of those live! Probably in 2025 if everything is going according to plan 🤞🏻 Happy retirement to those three brave soldiers who fought and keep fighting and helping the commonwealth and other countries! May your retirement be filled with joy, laughter and brightness! Love from Canada to all of you out there 🫶🏻🤍
An excellent concert, but of course it is. However in this broken and evil world, just occasionally there is a moment of hope - the encore is one such moment. Thank-you.
Hello from Cleveland, Tennessee USA
Outstanding performance and a delight. It has been over 40 years since ths old Sergeant of US Marines enjoyed liberty with our Royal cousins. It is always a pleasure to enjoy the work of your bands. Well done indeed.
😭😭😭 this was too emotional! The tribute to Elizabeth was heart-warming!
This makes me smile from ear to ear. Live in Ireland but proud to be part of the British family. St Patrick’s cross is in the flag.
Absolutely astonishing!! The choreography of the drummers 👌. The solo trombonist 😌, well all the soloists👌, the stunning Forgotten War piece, just wow😲🥺❤, Colonel Jase 😅. How do these amazing serving military people also have the incredible ability and time to play music of such high calibre? I also sense every single member are happy and proud of each others abilities. Well done musicians, conducters, and behind the scenes maestros👏👏👏👏👌👌😌🇦🇺. Just a side note, I was watching the story of Colin Thackery lastnight being on BGT, and cried, and then tonight, the brilliant Music is Magic singers, and Coln Jase handing over his baton, omg I cried again😢, for heavens sake stop with your superbness😊!!
My most sincere congratulations to HM Royal Marines for the wonderful concert … ♥️♥️♥️, but a special mention goes to Mr. Hutchinson for the masterful arrangements that every year on the occasion of the Mountbatten Festival his songs give a touch of class and transmit a great emotion… Thank you ….. Paolo from Italy 🇮🇹
I think I got some grit I'm my eye during the tribute to our late Queen, Sam brilliant as usual 👏
Nothing better than the sound of rope-tension snares ala 18th Century: a very rich sound.

Can't wait
Here for the two steps from hell
Thrilling performances and very heart touching with the special group of men and women. I'm so happy that I found this program while looking for Scottish music on UA-cam tonight.
From Florida, I say thank you for another brilliant Mounbatten Festival of Music program.
I am writing to you from Madrid, Spain. I have been subscribed to your channel for a long time. You are wonderful. I'm excited to hear you. My father was a military pilot. Colonel of the General Staff and Chief of Air Search and Rescue of Spain. I am very proud of him, hence my interest in everything related to military life. Thank you very much for your magnificent performance. Greetings.
I attended this event - my very first time in England and to my surprise sitting behind and above was King Charles. Absolutely wonderful show and one of the most spectacular venues in the world: The Royal Albert Hall!
Heard and seen by a retired Major of the French Army, and in one word:
FANTASTIC !
Finally got to see a euphonium solo being played at this wonderful festival of music absolutely beautiful
What astounded me was that a military band could include so many orchestral musicians. My girl in the NZ Army band played clarinet and Sax..but could also play cello when needed..they're all gifted musicians and singers as well. Well done Marine Bands and all military bands in gt Britain...
So much talent. Am so proud to be British.
I was there what a treat for us to have King Charles in attendance on a Friday, been waiting ages for this :)
What a beautiful tribute to the Quenn Elisabeth, a fantastic wonderful performance by all the musicians. A pleasure to listen to. Thank you
As the great grand daughter of the first Drum Major of the Royal Marine School of Music, this was an emotional roller coaster! Brilliant musicians and so many memories came flooding back. My grandfather and uncle were career RM bandsmen, two great uncles served and my dad was a RM Commando. Absolutely nothing like the Royal Marine bands!❤❤
Was gutted I couldn’t watch live this year! I’ve been twice, and I love it!
All i can say WOW!WOW !WOW ,that was out of this world FANTASTIC ,well worth waiting for Wonderful Band 😚😙😗😘
The trombone solo is so hauntingly beautiful!!! Transported me to a place of total peace and tranquility....
This was so awesome. Very emotional too. Loved every minute, watching from New Zealand.❤
Music is magic 12 of 10😀
Bloody onions on the finale are to blame for tears flowing. BRILLIANT Senior Service, from a Pongo veteran
Fantastic, Awesome .. So, many wonderful folks leaving. You will all be missed, This old squid from the US Navy, wish you all well in your retirements. Your great contribution to the bands, your leadership, shipmates Fair waves and Following Seas in all that you do and have accomplished in your time with the Bands of HM Royal Marines. God Bless you all.

Wow another great show from the Massed Bands of the Royal Marines, That was a wonderful tribute to Queen Elizabeth. For me the best part of the show this year was the Music is Magic part
When I watch the 2020 version, I was thinking that was the best ever. But this 2023 version came along! THIS IS THE BEST yet!
Hello from Philadelphia, PA. USA
Greetings from Florida, could use more music like this what a beautiful treat. Hoping well hear them again FANTASTIC ❤❤❤❤
glad I turned on UA-cam look forward to this every year!
We were there on the Saturday evening concert. Second year in a row and we love it. My 13 yr old is a drummer in a sea cadet band and the RMACoD and is seen in the audience during “A Life on the Ocean Wave” doing the stick work.
This is soooooo niceeee we need more like this in the world :( greetings from swiss my near friends❤
Thank you for a great concerrt. It was amazing. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Extraordinarily well done! I thoroughly enjoy watching these performances. It’s always good to hear some of the best musicians in the world doing what they do best!
Hands down the best trombone solo I have ever heard, in the Wonderland segment. Amazing. Not even at the intermission and the concert has been consistently excellent. Looking forward to the rest. Kudos from Canada!
The very best of military music which clearly demonstrates the width and humour of British military music and the skill of those who get to play it. Well done
1:13:32 That Hannah Smither Singing 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Brilliant .top notch , wouldnt expect anything less , well done all
Fantastic performance from you all. Amazing solos. Some sad departings, but you will be remembered.
A wonderful Festival of Music, well done to all involved.
Amazing euphonium piece at 1:22:55, simply perfection
What a marvellous show. Love it ❤❤❤
Magnificent compilation with true integration and what Britain stands for! God Save the King!
Wow, such a great concert. I have no words for how beautiful and well-played it is... I hope I have one day the chance to be there in the Royal Albert Hall to see the concert live!
Brilliant wonderful thanks all
magnificent thank you to all the great musicians.
WOW! What a performance ❤👏🏻🙌❤️
Have seen a few of these now, and I reckon that’s one of the best finales I’ve ever heard! Cracking send off to those retiring, and best wishes to Ivan, pretty sure he came and helped out at a Meridian Winds concert a few years ago when I played Principal Trumpet for them under Don Lloyd
Absolutely wonderful!!! Thank you so much! Loved the children's song; it was extremely moving and well done. The tribute to Queen Elizabeth was marvelous; again, thank you!
Fantastic! Best MFM yet for me. They’re all brilliant but this year’s just had a certain something about it. I’ve always said this, but it really should be broadcast on TV.
the waiting is nearly over. good now that it is officially on here as soon
My goodness me *THAT WAS MAGNIFICENT* well done all who played, sang, participated in the whole splendid event.. BRAVO BRAVO and BRAVO AGAIN.
Heartiest best wishes from Wales.
I was waiting for this
That thunder of applause for the trombone solo was well deserved my word❤
what a fabulous concert! Thank you ❤
I was wondering where the second TSFH song was... and that ending, that was incredible. Put the biggest smile on my face as I danced and conducted right along side them all
What a superb performance by the Massed Bands of His Majesty's Royal Marines.
Absolute perfection. Without doubt, the finest military band in the world.
I enjoyed the Royal Marine Mountbattan arrangenents. Thank you so much❤❤
tres beau spectacle les anglais sont au top
the concert is better all in of world. its incredible, fantastic and amazing.
As always in awe. Is there anything The Bands of HM Royal Marine can’t do?! The tribute to our late Queen was very special. ❤️
Phenomenal, simply fabulous and uplifting.
Quite simply "AWESOME". See you in Leicester in September
Memorable and moving. Thank you. DJ in Knoxville TN
Magníficos una vez más. Enhorabuena
I swear to god they could make music with concrete blocks !!!
Thank you to all concerned.
I've played Pomp and Circumstance, Land of Hope and Glory, dozens of times but have never seen the lyrics. It would have been nice if the lyrics to the sing-a-longs that were on the screens at the Sir Albert had been in the corner of the picture like earlier parts of the video had. We Yanks might have wanted to sing-a-long at home here in the USA. Congratulations on a magnificent performance.
Thank you for sharing, very good! 🥰🥰
Steve Saleh made a moonwalk 🤩 amazing
GREAT Stevie Wonder music!!!
Judith Moore
I am amazed at the brilliance and perfection on the performance of our military bands. This is what living is about. Service, duty, commitment supporting one another and those in need of a helping hand, as well as all the noble deeds that all our military personal do in serving our Monarchy and country. And remembrance, to honour forever the fallen, this is our history, and we shall never forget all who paid the ultimate price for our today's.
The creme de la creme of band concerts! Absolutely beautiful! Such pomp and circumstance never witnessed by my eyes before in America! Thank you, England of my roots!
Really it's more than music. I think the best part was the military jazz band with the singer Corporal Hannah (great!). Amigos para siempre. 😄
Very happy to joy the concert from Barcelona, Catalonia.
I must tell you an historical anecdote: On 24 June 1925, just before celebrating a match, FC Barcelona fans jeered the Spanish national anthem and then applauded and cheered God Save the King, both performed by a visiting British Royal Marines band. The dictatorship of Primo de Rivera accused Joan Gamper (the football club founder) of promoting Catalan nationalism. The stadium was shut down for six months and Gamper was expelled from Spain.
Thank you for telling the story, history.
Fantastic. Thx for sharing online 🙏
the best among the festivals held yearly...what a great performance and the honor it has given to the former monarchs of the UK is indeed marvelous...MORE POWER TO THE MOUNTBATTEN FESTIVAL OF MUSIC!!
Thats a finale you never want to end! Absolutely brilliant.
This was so wonderful, thank you.
