    How can I watch your videos step by step, because I seem to find a hard time finding techniques step by step, because of all the techniques wrestling has in your videos. How can I learn step by step?

      Thank you for the kind words. If you are motivated to learn wrestling as an athlete and transition into a coach it is definitely not too late. You always have a better chance of success when you love what you do. We have many more resources available at kolat.com.
      This is our curriculum for learning wrestling from the beginner phase www.kolat.com/4-to-6-year-teaching-curriculum.html. If you follow this as an athlete you will also be able to apply it as a coach. www.kolat.com/uploads/3/0/2/9/30299091/kolat.com_4-6_year_curriculm.pdf

    Whats the best way to get started in wrestling if im in my senior year of highschool with no experience?

    • @KOLATCOM
      @KOLATCOM  Місяць тому +1

      Does your high school have a wrestling team? If so see if they have any Spring wrestling workouts or if they are going to any freestyle tournaments over the summer. Jump in as soon as you can then look for a college with a wrestling club or intramural wrestling. You can also look into colleges with NCAA Division 3 wrestling programs or junior colleges with wrestling programs.

    Would that get called locked hands when you get top position?

    • @KOLATCOM
      @KOLATCOM  Місяць тому

      Yes, in folkstyle wrestling that would be locked hands and 1 point penalty. The is freestyle wrestling and the gutwrench is a freestyle wrestling move and locking hands around the torso by the top man in Freestyle and Greco is legal. You can always check in the description to see if the technique is for Folkstyle, Freestyle, Greco or any combination Folkstyle and Freestyle, Freestyle and Greco, etc.
