how long does it take you to hand piece a quilt top, lets say queen size? seems like a TONE of work, but a beautiful labor of love. What made you decide to hand piece instead of machine?
It’s so sad they stopped making that ruler! Any clear quilting ruler will work. I have a 1” x 6” one that works well. I think Olfa and Creative Grids each make one.
I like the idea of using sandpaper! That, along with a rotary cutting mat, will make marking much easier, I think

What would you recommend to replace the Perfect Piecer? I can't find one anywhere.

It’s years old-so I don’t remember. I bought if from Amazon.
How do mark darker fabrics I try to use pencil but couldn’t see the line thanks
I have a white chalk pencil (Sewline brand) that I use for that. A lot of people use a sliver of white soap!
Do you have a recommendation for a pencil to use on dark fabrics?
So far I've always been able to see enough of the pencil mark on the back of a dark fabric. But you could try a white chalk pencil.
