The look on this car is so close to how i intially want mine to look lol
Keeping the res on makes that thing sound CLEAN. Never a big van of the legit straight pipe on the cars.
I deleted the resonator too along with the muffler to get a semi-vibrant sound cuz I didn't want too much rasp lol

I have a 6speed gt sport and its real fun to drive! Dct can't handle the same power later on either!

@@joerichardson6107 SXTH, N75, and think a couple other brands offer a TCU tune for the Elantra sport DCT. N75 has a TCU tune of their big turbo ES.

There’s no Elantra GT Sport. Elantra GT and Elantra Sport are 2 different cars. Though they have the same engine. So imagine this big turbo kit would fit on the GT as it did the sport.

@@ooopppiiiuuummm the GT is the hatchback version of the Elantra Sport (which is a sedan). Same engines on both. But they just call the hatchback GT. Not GT Sport

UM how not size a turbo to a motor to small. ITs one thing to have a big turbo. But bolting it on a stock top end is crazey. You end up with good top but nothing bottom!! Keeep your money going

@@joerichardson6107 ive worked as a shop foreman for hyundai for 12 years and replaced countless motors on these for piston slap. Ive had vehicles off the truck with 4 miles on it with piston slap
@@samcampagna6029 4 miles? Pretty crazy, I've heard of the carbon build up, oil leak from one of the lines that run to the turbo, valve gasket cover leak, but not the piston slap. I run good oil ( amsoil) and top tier fuel, run intake valve cleaning every oil change, running fantastic. Sxth had a 407 whp Elantra stock engine with 90k miles on it. Out of the major problems I never see this listed, reinforces to keep up good maintenance ( unless it's a car with 4 miles on it with a factory defect). On a side note I bought mine brand new 2018 I have 43000 miles on it, take excellent care of the car and I've developed a small coolant leak I work at a dealership myself and while a tech was installing my downpipe he alerted me to a small coolant leak, so I have to replace a hose five years in 43000 miles. Hopefully I can avoid the piston slap until I get something different in 5 years. Thanks for the info.

Is the transmission and motor stock or built?
I don’t think any of sxths cars are built like that I think that they try to bolt on to stock as much as possible like for example the big turbo kit I think is from the voloster. don’t take my word 100% on this as I don’t really know but I think it’s stock, on there insta they have a white elantra with 90k miles that makes 408whp on methanol
This particular car was OEM on both the engine and transmission. The only built car we have had through was the red Veloster Turbo!

Matt87 dual clutch.. there is a difference. It shares almost No similarities to an Automatic transmission. It is basically Two separate manual transmissions. It’s like calling a LaFarrari or a Huracan an “automatic”.. both have dual clutch transmissions like the Elantra Sport
Matt87 do a bit of research on a Dual Clutch transmission before you start saying things like it’s an “automatic”.. You really think these high end cars are just “automatics” lmao.. not talking about the Elantra, I mean GTR’s and things like that. Same dual clutch type of deal. Yea higher quality and quicker shifts, just same basics
If you are a strictly manual type of guy, which I agree is amazing. But they are being phased out. Manual will be completely gone within the next 10 years, replaced by those “automatic” dual clutches
To put all this mods and money on a automatic a bit disappointed. The sound of a exhaust is never pleasing.

It’s not an automatic transmission. It’s a dual clutch transmission DCT. There’s a distinction and DCT has one advantage over manual. The manual may be more engaging, but the automotive gear shifting on DCT is faster than anyone can do on the manual. They’ve done tests and DCT is about a 1 sec faster on 0-60mph time.
