This is quite something. Myself and I'm sure a few others discovered these guys through TPS giving them a 'honk' every week, and now they're hosting a special episode. The TPS community is a cool place to be.
Nice men, nice guitars, nice picking, nice pedals. I miss you, Dan and Mick, but these guys will definitely do. I took my youngest camping over the weekend and just finished my chores, so TPS is my reward.
Dan and Mick, you guys are great players too, but these guys put me on the floor begging for a smoke. Holy crap - what killer tone! Thank you so much for introducing me to these guys!
Beautiful! Nestling in this masterclass is the fact that guys like these actually sensitively "play" the wah wah pedal and not just wobble their plimmers up and down. Totally inspiring!!
It's allways nice to see how much respect the really good players show when they come together. That's how they came to be at this level I think. Thanks guys!
Hi! I'm from Argentina, i have my t-shirt of TPS!. I want to say (with my bad english) that this is my favorite show of all time. I grew a lot as much as a guitarist as a musician thanks to you guys!!!!! COME TO ARGENTINA PLEASE
I have seen this video a few times, but man, it blows me away every time. This guys are just in the top of their game! Incredible players! They just make me feel so inspired and ready to play.
Only 39 minutes and 53 seconds? I could listen to these two banter and jam for 39 hours and 53 minutes. Modern treasures both. Thanks for this, you've made my Friday!
Your pedals are great, but I love the way your hearts are connected straight to the amps. The guitars and pedals just let us hear them. Musical hearts guys. Respect.
I'm a huge Joey fan and even play in the same tuning because of him, but Kirk is the kind of player that plays something relatively straightforward with such an effortless endearing style that makes the best players in the world just stop in awe and go WTF.
That was AWESOME! Just brilliant, you have all out done yourselves. To have Kirk and Joey on and share their insight without plugging their albums and tours was a masterpiece of total self control. Kudos to everyone, Cheers!!!
Mick, Dan, it's been great, we'll always have the memories but times change and people move on, all the best...........all hail the new hosts of TPS!!!!!
Joey and Kirk are absolute legends... and it was a ton of fun... But I can honestly say, that I truly missed Dan and Mick! There’s a reason this show about guitar pedals caught on like wildfire... and it isn’t the pedals!
Thats exactly what I said he is just like Ryan Reynolds except not so rated r but you can tell he could be if he wanted to be I love that type of humor tho it pulls you in he is def a unqie guy in a good way
My favorite parts of this amazing episode (other than all the playing) is Kirk calling Joey one bad dude and Joey saying it doesn't get any better than listening to Kirk play a shuffle. Just wonderful playing and people.
Just realized when I finished watching this, that I had been smiling the entire time. And that Dan and Mick’s quirky banter isn’t as cheesy as I thought compared to these show pirates. Which means we miss you guys. But damn good co-hosting choice. Wow.
Joey - our kind of guitar geek. And sh-ee-it! That slide tone. Kirk just makes you realise why tone = fingers so much! Man has feel for days. Good job Dan&Mick. Nice 1!
This is absolutely great in every way. Would even go so far to say this is my favourite video ever. UA-cam is downhill all the way from now on... thanks Joey and Kirk for a brilliant 40mins of fun and great playing.
Talk about perfect timing: I just bought tickets for Joey's gig in Nashville in October because out of the one month I'll be spending in the US I happen to be in THE town where it's obligatory to go to see some guitar music when he'll be in THE town. Talk about perfect timing!
Both players are fan freaking tastic but I have to say Joey Landreth........ First of all thank you that pedal show for turning me on to him, secondly he is to me the number one guitar player for me at the moment! No one has the feel that he has. Fletcher is more true blues than him but Landreths playing is heavenly
Thanks John. Joey and Kirk are both wonderful humans. Gifted, ridiculously hard working, kind and generous with their time and jaw-dropping talent. It’s the absolute least we can do to at least try and spread their word and work. However cheesy it sounds, Dan and I are both proud and humbled to call them friends. Thank you for watching!
I was so glad to see Joey do the same thing that I often do: forget that there's a pedal under the bridge that has to be turned on first. Great as the G2 is, it doesn't turn on the pedals for you, and some pedals don't come on automatically when they're powered up. Glad I'm not the only one! :)
Man- fun show. When it comes to the blues, Kirk is the "real deal" in that way that so few players are. Every note of his just drips with soul. And Joey's open tuning slide is heavenly- so good. What a pair. On a related note, my arc klone v2 died, so I decided to buy a new klone style pedal. I went back through your vids to the klon review, listened to various pedals and decided that A: I already love/ trust Keeley, and B: that oxblood sounded great. Then, at the same moment, Keeley released a new germanium oxblood reissue in a limited run, so I got one. It arrived today and hot damn- it is the most versatile, most badass overdrive pedal I've ever tried. If either Dan or Mick can get one I would highly recommend it. What an amazing pedal.
Just awesome! Two incredible talents and personalities. Cant wait for the record in October and hopefully some tour dates for over here in Perth Australia with you both. All the best guys.
Great episode all the way to the very end. Very cool having “guests” in such a different format than you usually use. Very cool and entertaining. Some tasty playing as well. Man, Kurt could totally narrate movies or audio books, I could happily listen to him talk for hours about anything.
Thank you to that pedal show for introducing these guys to me. I saw Matt Schofield at the iridium a few weeks ago. When either of Kirk or Joey is in town, I'll be there too.
This is quite something. Myself and I'm sure a few others discovered these guys through TPS giving them a 'honk' every week, and now they're hosting a special episode. The TPS community is a cool place to be.
Isn't Kirk the nicest man,no ego massive talent. Both these guys would play along with you and never judge your ability. Joey and Kirk, thank you.👍
Totally!
He really is. A total gentleman. He's a happy man.
I still wouldn't play along with them tho. They might not judge my ability, but I would.
Man I just love TPS watching from a small village in Uganda and it's heaven!
2 of my favorite players and I discovered them watching TPS. Thanks to all involved.
I swear that the first 2 minutes of this is EVERYTHING guitarists need to know about playing together.
Why isn't this top comment?! If Dan and Mick are reading we NEED to get Tom on the show too!
Nice men, nice guitars, nice picking, nice pedals. I miss you, Dan and Mick, but these guys will definitely do. I took my youngest camping over the weekend and just finished my chores, so TPS is my reward.
There's nothing better then seeing 2 of the best guitar players in the world playing a blues shuffle together. Man that shit left me in tears of joy.
Not ashamed to admit, I let out an audible shriek when I saw the title of this one
Haha!!! Us too. Can’t quite believe it actually happened. :0)
I can already tell that this will be the best 40 minutes of my life!
Dan and Mick, you guys are great players too, but these guys put me on the floor begging for a smoke. Holy crap - what killer tone! Thank you so much for introducing me to these guys!
These two need their own show. What chemistry and love between these guys. This made me smile in 2020 when I needed a reason to.
The best part of this is not only are they legends on guitar but they are just lovely people. Awesome show gents!
okay is it officially impossible to dislike these guys
Playing as natural as breathing. So good. I love it when the effortlessness remind's you of just how much effort it must have taken to get there.
Profound. Thank you for sharing that.
That was awwwwwwwesome! What killer players and cool cats to boot. Hats off Dan and Mick for putting these two in a room with guitars and a camera!
A gem that should not be hidden or forgotten.
Us too: Was a truly magical day!
Your pedals are great, but I love the way your hearts are connected straight to the amps. The guitars and pedals just let us hear them. Musical hearts guys. Respect.
That’s exactly has it should be!
I'm a huge Joey fan and even play in the same tuning because of him, but Kirk is the kind of player that plays something relatively straightforward with such an effortless endearing style that makes the best players in the world just stop in awe and go WTF.
What a joy seeing these two jam and talk music! We all need to do our best to support the folks on here - go see Joey and get Kirk's record!
What a joy! Thank you guys! All of you that was awesome!
Kirk. Feel. Vibe.
Joey. Slide. Harmonic Trem.
The best. We live in blessed days.
Wow, just wow! And also with this many «wows», I miss you Dan and Mick!
"Gurt lush, me lovers!" Love Joey L. Best electric guitar tone I've ever heard
Plus he has the coolest guitars, jeez!
That was AWESOME! Just brilliant, you have all out done yourselves. To have Kirk and Joey on and share their insight without plugging their albums and tours was a masterpiece of total self control. Kudos to everyone, Cheers!!!
Two of the coolest guys out there. Period.
Joey Landreth is magical, but gosh darn if Fletcher isn't the best blues player on this planet right now.
yeah, Fletch and Josh Smith are one of best players out there.
How about of an album of their collaboration. Just take my money now.
One of the best... there is NOTHING as THE BEST !!!!
and matt schofield :O
ALLAN HOLDSWORTH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mick, Dan, it's been great, we'll always have the memories but times change and people move on, all the best...........all hail the new hosts of TPS!!!!!
Oh we wish. That would be awesome!
Some of the best playing I've ever heard. Both amazing players
Gentlemen, your fair play brings a pennant dimension to your show, thank you for your exciting approach.
That feeling when you see the first pedal you ever bought as the reverb on a pro's board.
The first Joey episode may have finally been topped! When Joey gets going playing slide with a dirty tone, it is a really moving, visceral thing.
Joey and Kirk are absolute legends... and it was a ton of fun...
But I can honestly say, that I truly missed Dan and Mick! There’s a reason this show about guitar pedals caught on like wildfire... and it isn’t the pedals!
I could listen to these guys all day.
Didn't realize I had a huge childish grin from the intro on. Joey has a sort of "safe for the family" Deadpool humor. Love it!
Thats exactly what I said he is just like Ryan Reynolds except not so rated r but you can tell he could be if he wanted to be I love that type of humor tho it pulls you in he is def a unqie guy in a good way
Must be a Canadian thing
Yep, I noticed it almost off the bat. Half expected Negasonic to come into the frame to hand him his guitars.
Lol I only realized my stupid bewildered grin when my face started to hurt.
Wow.
Every time I watch this I just smile. So good!
Joey - our kind of guitar geek. And sh-ee-it! That slide tone. Kirk just makes you realise why tone = fingers so much! Man has feel for days. Good job Dan&Mick. Nice 1!
Really made my Friday. My wife caught me with the biggest smile. TPS 💕
And it’s only TPS. Win-win!
I like how the guy laughing all the time sits on the chair normally belonging to the guy laughing all the time :D
I loved this video! It was wonderful to see two fantastic guitar players jamming, laughing and truly enjoying themselves as "hosts" of TPS. Good job!
Fletcher is so humble.... and he also makes me want to put my guitar in the case and take up crocheting.
Me too. Mick here. Both of them. I don’t often think, ‘Yeah, maybe guitar isn’t for me’ but today was one of those days. :0)
I hate being an adult, it took me over a month to finally watch this! These two are incredible players, great tones!
Just so where it's at. Two lovely guys playing lovely guitar.
This is absolutely great in every way. Would even go so far to say this is my favourite video ever. UA-cam is downhill all the way from now on... thanks Joey and Kirk for a brilliant 40mins of fun and great playing.
oh my goodness! the amount of joy the first coupe of minutes brought me is immense!
Marvelous! A big shout-out to Mick and Dan for sharing their platform for this...
This is the best video on the internet. Thanks TPS 🎸
I wish someone would look at me the way I’m looking at that pedal show today. Love these guys. Grinning happy place.
Wow, what a huge treat!!! Thanks TPS!
I can’t love this show any more than I do. I can’t hold all this emotion!!!
Great work.
Watching this back bc these guys are awesome and super kind. Masters.
can't stop listening to Joey's stuff right now, well timed! + Kirk, greatest duo ever!
Hahaha Mick to Joey: “He can’t even tune his guitar properly”
Hold On! Kirk! Wow, that’s got the emotion packed right in those chords brother. Nice!
Opening trade off was naturally stunning.....
Thank you
I discovered both of these inhuman guitarists through this show so thank you for the introduction! TPS rules, learn things from every show 👌
I have to agree with Joey. Kirk playing a shuffle is pretty amazing. He kills it with the wah too. Excellent episode!
Kirk and Joey have some of the most soothing voices I've ever heard.
Wow great show.. that blues jam they broke into gave me chills. I miss hearing Kirk in the hallways of GIT . Stellar stellar stellar
Talk about perfect timing: I just bought tickets for Joey's gig in Nashville in October because out of the one month I'll be spending in the US I happen to be in THE town where it's obligatory to go to see some guitar music when he'll be in THE town. Talk about perfect timing!
You nutters!! Getting these guys to do this vid!! Insane!! The only thing I could think throughout was, DON’T STOP PLAYING EVER!!
That was sublime. I could watch these two play all day.
Oh sweet Lordy that was pure heaven. Thank you.
I woke up and immediately checked the episode title, hopped out of bed, put on coffee..today will be a good day. Best episode!
Great episode boys. That MoollonT Classic is a stunning looking guitar. Sounds great too.
Ahhhh all so good. I have a 633 to and it’s down to a Kirk Gig a couple of years ago. Best amps ever. Super playing and tones
Sublime. Two of the best out there at the moment. A joy to watch. Good work to all.
I chuckled at the humour. I admired the playing. Forty minutes of my life I don't want back. :)
Love it when you guys have guest like Joey and Kirk.
Landreth's Mulecaster is amazing! Those benders have an interesting sound.
Awesome Show Fellas!!! See you at Harvells tomorrow Kirk!! Totally Stoked!!
Great guest hosts. They clearly have their own chemistry and respect what Dan and Mick have built.
Thank you for watching!

dan and mick looking spectacular this week
Man- fun show. When it comes to the blues, Kirk is the "real deal" in that way that so few players are. Every note of his just drips with soul. And Joey's open tuning slide is heavenly- so good. Just awesome! Two incredible talents and personalities. Cant wait for the record in October and hopefully some tour dates for over here in Perth Australia with you both. All the best guys.
This could just be the best episode ever.
That intro improv piece was out of this world... two amazing player interacting at that level... holy shit that was good...
Joey with a fuzz and a slide sounds like nothing else. Insane.
There is no substitute for volume. Kirk proves it again.
Great episode all the way to the very end. Very cool having “guests” in such a different format than you usually use. Very cool and entertaining. Some tasty playing as well.
Man, Kurt could totally narrate movies or audio books, I could happily listen to him talk for hours about anything.
Love both these guys. Good show and great playing.
Kirk: check please! That's hilarious.
I'm confused. Doesn't the geezer with glasses sit on the right normally?
@ajfirecracker obvious now you mention it 😁.
Actually got me to laugh out loud with this one. Well played!
@@papaacorn9479 thank you James. I love this show
Yes, well played indeed.
Two of the finest guitar players you are likely to see, excellent stuff.
welcome to TPS guys. Enjoyed your show.
Love you guys so much. Can't wait for the record and seeing you in Bristol Joey. Now to learn some of those licks!
Very cool to see Seth Lee Jones mentioned on That Pedal Show. He's a great guitarist, and a talented luthier as well.
That first delay pedal sound is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard
Took to wife to watch joey at Nottingham. AMAZING GIG. Jazz solos were out of this world. Joey you need to do a live album.
Marc Foy I was there. It’s the best gig I have been to this year. South a cool guitar sound. Darker than I expected and his band were on point
Joey's tone is to die for...
That was such a wonderful episode!! More of these please. Still love you Mick and Dan :)
Thank you to that pedal show for introducing these guys to me. I saw
Matt Schofield at the iridium a few weeks ago. When either of Kirk or Joey is in town, I'll be there too.
You guys are the best! Thanks TPS
