I saw David Jason when he was filming a Touch of Frost near where I lived, he smiled and said hello when he could have easily looked through me and not paid me any attention, he is a genuine lovely man.
I always Remember Watching Danger Mouse & Count Duckula as a Kid in the 80's and Then Came Only Fools and Horses after That I Watched Reruns of Open all Hours. David is a true Legend and a joy to Watch
Fortunately as someone in their 50's I grew up watching this guy deliver legendary performances and my kids have been brought up with us all watching this guy, particularly Only Fools & Horses. Hopefully generations to come will also appreciate the classic humour and delivery that David, Nicholas, Lennard, Buster and the whole team gave us.
OFAH and Del Boy are not just up there with the best… we are talking about the very best…. Ingrained into English society the writing and the performances will forever be remembered by any that were there - when we talk about Del Boy, we are talking top 5 best ever sitcom characters ever - OFAH Top 5 British comedies ever…. As the years progress it might be easy to forget but please go back and watch, the writing and the performances are absolutely incredible and for my money there will never be another show like it. RIP John Sullivan
Forever Granville in Open all hours... Ronny B and DJ were the sublime pairing with a fantastic supporting cast! We're losing these legends slowly but surely and I'm really struggling to find their natural descendants... TV is not what it once was, and possibly never will be!
We won’t see their like again, TV has changed so much. The old days of three and four channels are long gone, we were forced to watch what they put on, lucky it was such quality.
David Jason and David Attenborough are both on their own tier. No one else comes close to this level of legendary status. It’s great to see him looking sharp
I was talking to a family member a little while ago, and he was telling me about an open rumors at the BBC about DJ, I was saddened to hear that he had similar qualities of js, rh, sh. And many others
Sir David = Danger Mouse + Porridge + Open all hours + Only fools and horses + Darling Buds of May + a Touch of Frost massive shows all of them he also voiced Toad in the stop motion live Wind in the willows and done so much more. The guy is amazing I wish more interviewers would ask him about Frost and Pop Larkin.
I know he doesn't like the idea that people mainly know him for Only Fools but he should know he played the character so well it's forever iconic and forever funny. Brilliant actor in Frost and Open all hours.
God David Jason you've brought laughter and reality to everyone not only are you a legend but an inspiration to how everyone should act and hold their selves truly truly amazing!!
Sir David is one of the best because when you watch him you see the character and not the actor, but there is one little thing he does that comes out every now and then when he has someone over, Arkwright, Rodney and Mullet has had that look when he turns his head slightly on a little angle and turns it to his left shoulder with that little smile, Got You.
I did see somewhere that Sir David was even considered for the role of corporal jones in dads army but lost out because he wasn’t well known enough at the time.
Boys there’s a big elephant in the room here and if you know, you know!! And if you don’t know you’ll come back to this comments section in 10 years cos now you do know 🥴
I would have loved to see mr bean in an episode of only fools and horses, I imagine Rodney bringing mr bean back to the flat, there is so much you could do with that, and it would be hilarious. Two iconic actors.
A Man that can be truly deserving of the title ‘Absolute legend’.
That was lovely… you guys on the show are such fun and listen to you every morning.

DJ is so genuine he'd be like talking to a favourite uncle 😊
He is a national treasure, absolutely no doubt about it.❤
So was Jimmy Savile but once he was dead and could not take others down with him nothing came out just like Al-Fayed
