The loyalty of the Aussie / mini is a huge part of the reason I love the breed. Their devotion can border on pathological obsession, but that’s who they are. Best breed for me and my Familly !
So happy with his tail! It is actually not allowed to dock tails where we live in The Netherlands. So the only Aussies without tails have been imported from abroad. 😊
@@KoasOhana You know they can be born without tails right? I have 3 Aussies, one has a tail, the 2 others are NBT. I live in Belgium and docking isnt allowed here either
@jonasckx I know it is possible that they are born NBT, but most of the MAS that do not have tails have been docked. Especially in the USA. Also because NBT cannot be bred because of medical reasons to other NBT's, which means in a litter with an NBT parent there is still the possibility of pups with tails.
The "big dog personality in a small dog body" thing really resonated with me. I just got a mini, she's about 3 months old right now. I have a full sized and he's 13. I wanted another version of him but I also wanted a smaller dog, mainly because they have less issues with bones and joints. I like to play fetch a lot and take my dogs places. Indi has a torn acl and he's too old for surgery. I always wonder if it would have been better if he was smaller. He's on the big side though. Even before he gained a bunch of weight from being unable to play fetch or swim, he was 75lb/34kg despite being very lean. I'm hoping that the mini will be every bit as driven, but maybe her smaller size will put a little less stress on her joints while she runs

Lovely dog ! Glad to see he still has a tail unlike most of his breed in North America .
