Pretty spot on. I moved to Dania Beach from Los Angeles in December 2019. My rent in LA at the time was 2K for a 1 bedroom, I lived in a great neighborhood in a rent controlled building for 11 years. My rent went down to $1550 when I moved here but is now $2100 for the same unit. It is still far less crowded as Southern California (that I miss occasionally). I'm happy here, so far so good...
Thats a shame. Just remember, if that's what these people resort to saying to you for no other reason than the fact that they are miserable in their own lives, that speaks volumes about who they are and I would take their comments with the tiniest grain of salt and live your life 🙏
