That Nextorch TA15 is awesome! I mean wherever you go you have a fuel source! I think the higher end flashlight companies need to make a few options with extremely simple UI. In fact, I would like something for my elderly parents other than the big box store flashlights. I guess this flashlight could even work for them. (That Kizer Mercury is extremely elegant, although I prefer silver rather than gold.)
@@nextorch I was happy with the 14500 lights being able to use a AA battery in a emergency, but this flashlight is a game changer. I love it when companies do stuff like this, because it can turn a horrible situation into a better 1, with technology like this. I am definitely excited about this light.
I just got the FC12. Clip failed after a week. Otherwise I still really like it. Seems to be a common problem with budget lights? Time for a small hose clamp I guess.
The FC12 with the short 18350 tube is easily one of my favorite lights to date. Another trick i found with this light is that you can mount the warrior mini 3 clip using the separate "clip mount" that olight offers as an option for mounting the clip to the tail switch. That same little clip mounts to the grooves on the head of the FC12 quite nicely. Giving you a low budget, deep carry, pocket thrower with direct turbo. What more can we ask for!? 😅
I've got the Mini Praxis with Ultem scales in my pocket right now. That Mercury is beautiful, but I'm already fighting the urge to get a Vosteed Nightshade
Presumably the Mercury could be used to shave, in a pinch? Speaking of ring selection lights; Would love if Nitecore brought out a successor/sequel to their SRT7GT.
Just ordered a purple FC12. Almost went with the thrunite TN12 pro because of the instant turbo via tail switch and full access to all modes via the side switch… but the FC12 is purple.
Great Reviews - Always looking for good quality/price EDC gear to buy, and it looks like the Wurkkos FC12 fits that bill. I am a big PowerTac fan, but they can get expensive. Definitely love the new Towser K - the handle is gorgeous and definitely looks bigger than it is, just out of my price range.
Would you recommend the Wurkkos FC12 over the Sofirn SC33 both are roughly coming in at the same price. I'll be using it for law enforcement in the UK.. Great reviews 👍🏽
Can I be honest with you? Wurkkos and Sofirn are both budget brands. If I was going to have a light my life would depend on I would buy something a bit more class. A rotary switch light would be recommended, Fenix has a very good one.
It seems like the knife community is very focused on form over function these days. Most knife reviews center around the "action" and handle materials/looks as well as on paper specs such as blade steel. I'm a multitool guy but I sometimes carry a dedicated knife as well if the situation calls for it and the situation is rarely playing with my pretty knife. It would be nice to see tests of which situations the knives perform well in - what is the particular blade's element. I understand that this is beyond this video's scope but I thought I'd comment on the recurring theme I've noticed.
@@maxlvledc That's understandable and I hope the comment didn't come off as seeming to target you specifically. I have found many of your videos practical and rather hands on which I appreciate. With so many different types of knives out there it would be interesting to practically expand on why carry certain ones and in which situations.
Nice! Excellent vid. I don't like any of the knives. I think the ultim is just a fad. It doesn't really have any business being in the knife handle world.
Just got the fc12 last week and it’s insane, I love it

Appreciate your words! 😃
NEED THAT TAC RING FOR THE TA15!!!

THE NEXTORCH IS GREAT BECAUSE OF ALL THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF BATTERIES YOU CAN USE- VERY HANDY!
THANK YOU AGAIN MAX- GREAT FLASHLIGHTS AND KNIVES.
Kizer really doing big things now days I dig it
I love the Kizer variable. From this video gear of the week. Kizer variable is my favorite because it is so tactical-cool!

ok, that I have to try! where did you get a 18350 tube?

The Kizer Variable almost looks like a wallet knife and not a neck knife. Interesting design, either way!
Loving these gear of the week round ups 👌👌

Some great gear Dom! That larger Kizer fixed blade looks neat. Mattisfaction's Phoenix also looks really cool too.
Thank you for your review!

Your not wrong, for me...they come at such a rapid pace I couldn't do proper testing on all of them.

I'm a simple person... I see Kizer and I click!

hello hello i missed the last two giveaways i wont miss the next one lol have a good day brother ill see you tomorrow
good thing! tomorrow is going to be BIG!
That Variable looks like an accident waiting to happen with such a short handle.
I think many knifes these days are for experts only. not sure I agree with that.
