I’m just thrilled Victorinox is trying to innovate in the pocket knife and EDC space at all, since these days we often have to wait many years between interesting releases from them.
Every year has a new fancy steel, and then people act as if the previous is made of paper. Victorinox chose the basic bread and butter that works and i can't complain at that.
@@paulstevens1493 Victorinox is a peoples' brand and most of their products are low cost. People all over the world use their knives without any problems. Not sure about that wallet by Victorinox. They should've just offer both things as a single unit, or a better attachment system - maybe allowing for previous SwissCards to be used too.
I think you can get them separalety, the case is a secrid card holder (you can see the secrid legend on the side) and a simple swiss card plus a rubber band or ranger band or something alike and you got one.

Man, you hit the nail on the head with your Gerber rant. Not gonna lie, for a $20 knife, the Slimsada is a big win. I will keep their USA made crossbar knives in mind!
I have one of those victorinox wallets and absolutly love it. I don`t know if you had the chance to try it more, but I leave the house everyday with it in my pocket, and it has saved me in many ocasions. Would love to see another video about it, to see your in dept review and to shed more light into this brilliant wallet/tool
3:23 Years ago there was a (failed) kickstarter for Jackfish Survival Credit Card Holder, I am surprised that there doesn't appear to be more like that, it did not look perfect, but it seemed fairly logical and not plastic like the Victorinox. I use a Vext slim wallet and love it, I really would like something like the Vext with included multiools and/or a key layer.
Man this list just made my Christmas wishlist double. Plus the large light from Nightcore looks like a great self defense bump in the night on my nightstand flashlight
I believe that the notch at the end of the Swiss card wallet is likely meant to serve as a stop for the elastic cash holder band so it doesn’t slide off when taking it in and out of your pocket. I guess they could have put that in more of a midline spot, but nevertheless, it doesn’t prevent one from sliding the band to the middle when strapping g some cash
Just received that Mossy Oak 12-1 and after trying out the Gerber Armbar, LM Skeletool and Surge (returned the leathermans); it actually feels like the perfect multitool for me. Doesn’t feel hefty in my pocket at all, tools deploy smoothly and the scissors aren’t too bad either. Let’s see how it goes.
Cool design by Fenix, but I’ve never seen much of a benefit from the angle lights I’ve tried. For hands-free use, I prefer to just clip a normal flashlight to my shirt and ground-bounce the beam. For some reason it just works better for me. I’ve got a different version of the Mossy Oak… decent enough tools, but I find one-hand use awkward. Not a huge deal, but I find myself dropping edc gear that doesn’t feel like an extension of my body. In this case, the extra weight of a full sized multitool is worthwhile. However I will make an exception for a SAK, since it is both compact and gives me superior tools (and also looks cool, in some cases).
Lumintop lights are some of the best value out there and that Silverfox for $16 on prime day was a steal considering it comes with a USB-C rechargeable 14500! Even running on a normal AA NiMH batteries it is decent.
Hi, have you ever used Rollingsquare inCharge cables? In my experience they are superior multi-type cables. Have you ever used Havalon's saw-blade? I always think about if external portion of holder would thin enouth to pass though cut made by its thin blade.
To see if I would like a button lock I also did not want to spend to much so went with Firebird GANZO FB727S-BK Folding Pocket Knife, around 22 bucks on amazon
The Swisscard Wallet is a classic example of combining two items not because it makes any sense, but just because you can. We have always had the ability to buy a Swisscard and a minimalist wallet, and then glue them together. Nobody does that, because there's no point.
I have investigated and purchased products similar to Budi in the same range of multi cable organizers. But in my research I found them to be really poor quality. With the age of different USB standards there is a big difference between 3.0 and 3.2. Thunderbolt compatibility and wattage/data transfer speed. This is a really popular way brands cheap out on their equipment because it's such an obscured specification it can often go undiscovered until you try to actually use it. You forgot to show the best feature of the Budi card reader: If you pull out the little lever ON THE OTHER SIDE, you have integrated a great cell phone holder. Did you know that? 😊
Like the havalon a lot, but atm not in my price range. Yes, cheaper than the skeletool but I'm not sure if I like it for real and don't want to spend 70€ (keep in mind I'm living in Germany) just to try out. So, my question: do you know about any skeletool clone in a price range up to 40$? Thx in advance, bro and as always... Cheers from germany!
I bought a mini Praxis and I love it, but the Micra (and the baby Banter) look to be too small for my big fingers. But CRJB makes great stuff at great prices with "good enough" blade steel. And yes, both (all 3) definitely need a lanyard, or a hanging pocket clip similar to the ones you can hang your keys in your pocket with. And definitely a yes on the Revo Canyon. I do like the Mossy Oak pocket kife, but is it better than the Armbar from (meh) Gerber? The Sedulo looks killer but I'm still afraid of the schizophrenic nature of Gerber. I have 2 of their Para Frame knives, 1 good one junk... Last but not least, a Big No on the Swiss Card wallet. (Definitely a yes on the standalone Swiss card though). Money clip/band is to "HOLD" money. That band is as you said - in the wrong place😮 No good if you drop all your cash every time you pull it out!
@webstwistypuzzle I can't say they do but the ergonomics are different and the card has an actual blade that slips out easily. The nice thing about the card was the fact that it was neatly contained and protected while inside a wallet.
the victorinox wallet at its current iteration is a hard pass thou the concept is good if i were designing it would have made the swiss card completely integrated in the credit card holder saving some space and weight, full aluminum construction it also removing the chance of loosing the swiss card in the first place also since its a bit wither then the original swiss card they could optimize the space a bit more... either make the knife a bit larger or add an extra tool thou im not sure what tool actually makes sense
I just can't see myself buying a Gerber copy of a benchmade griptilian for the same price as a griptilian. Even if all the specs are the same, I would just trust benchmade more
The Victorinox wallet is a disaster IMHO. The Swiss Card concept is a bit bizarre to me (why not just use a SAK), but for folk who do like them it's infinitely better to just add a Swiss Card to a wallet than this rubber-band-on-the-side approach. Just my 2-cents.
The smaller budi SD organizer is fine, but very cheap. The ends fall off, the insert doesn't stay fully inserted.and it always feels cheap. The cord sticks in and out, and the USB-C port never feels particularly secure. The metal housing will not stay on tge adapters, and just sticks in the USB port. They need to be designed without that housing. That having been stated, it has never failed to function. There is no comparable product. I have carried this since it came out. If someone would make a quality version of this product, I'd be all over it. The budi charger uses the wrong orientation for the phone. Charging is unreliable. Who needs a mirror in such a device? It is a waste of space and weight. Victorinox wallet? Junk. Ekster knockoff. Bad design. Basically, any wallet with an elastic strap is questionable. Neither sunfish knife appeals to me. The blade shape and size does not suit any use. I don't have that Gerber knife, but Gerber has been a consistent failure, across their range of products. That is an eye candy knife. What would it be used for? For any of the featured knives, how do you use them? What are they good for, other than showing on a video? Maybe a video of you dressing a deer, flaying a flsh, carving a turkey, slicing bread, or whittling would convince me. I am also curious how you carry these knives. The size, shape, and weight do not seem to make whatever limited function they may have an acceptable compromise. The bit constantly falls out of the Mossy Oak. The scalpel blade on the Havalon is nice, but the gut hook is terrible. The tail switch on the MH12 sucks. Nitecore has some good ideas, but their implementation is a killer, for me. I have several Fenix flashlights. The ones I have look nice, but, like Nitecore, their implementation kills their product. This one is no exception. For example, look at that gigantic pocket clip! Too much wasted space. Too much compromise. It just isn't carryable. Not a fan of the screw-down top. Not a fan of the UI or the side emitter. I don't have that Lumintop, but who would carry such a shiny product? Maybe other finishes are available. Actually, it didn't look terrible. I'm just not sure how it could be carried. The top would likely be gone in no time. Then, too, what would it replace. It does not have any features that don't exist in my current carry, isn't better at anything than what I carry, but does take up more space and weighs more. Thus, I did not spend my money on what would be an inferior poduct.
I don't have that many SD Cards & the SIM Card stays in the phone, why you'd have extra SIM's... what I do use a lot of are USB Flash Drives all these fancy wallets for CREDIT CARDS, I don't have any! CREDIT - a sign of the decline of civilization I prefer totally ambidextrous knives, I'm right but carry left that Gerber is nice flashlights & lights can be TOO BRITE! especially with a bluish tint and flashlights are getting way too complex Enjoy The Collapse 🤪 The Fall Of The Empire 😠😡🤬💥💀

I cant imagine the killing they would make if they made any kind of non shit steel knife blade
I can’t argue that!
Every year has a new fancy steel, and then people act as if the previous is made of paper. Victorinox chose the basic bread and butter that works and i can't complain at that.
It’d be okay to experiment with the steel as special editions or whatever, and keep the normal steel in their main line I think!

I don't have that many SD Cards & the SIM Card stays in the phone, why you'd have extra SIM's...
what I do use a lot of are USB Flash Drives
all these fancy wallets for CREDIT CARDS, I don't have any!
CREDIT - a sign of the decline of civilization
I prefer totally ambidextrous knives, I'm right but carry left
that Gerber is nice
flashlights & lights can be TOO BRITE!
especially with a bluish tint
and flashlights are getting way too complex
