- Hello Simsters !
Another issue I came across in configuring XP12 settings was my trim wheel travel speed was far too slow. I needed (or wanted) to speed up the time it takes for deflection so I dont have to keep constantly turning the wheel.
Anyway, there are settings in Planemaker which can assist in this regard. Let's check it out.

Mate, this is a life saver.. been fighting with my Bravo throttle and XP-12 for weeks. Cheers bud o/
you are welcome buddy. Hope it helped you out some.
I really appreciate this video. Now the trimming is much easier. Only one problem left to solve. The trimwheel works fine in the calibration section but makes a jump in the cessna around neutral trim. Need to find out why.
Thanks mate and I hope it was of some help to you. Has the neutral trim got something to do with your response curve in XPlane ??
I had to set the start of the responscurve to 0. It was set to 10 as default and then the trim jumped around neutral trim. I cannot get enough trim nose up so i will experiment with the trim deflectio setting for more trim in combination with trim times.
I also discoveted i have to go into the calibration of the saitek trimwheel and rotate the wheel until it is centered BEFORE i turn on the master battery switch in the c172. Then i can rotate the trimwheel slightly until in pings. After that it seems to work just fine.
@@steinarnestas2954 Interesting. Let me know how it turns out. Keen to understand this. Interestingly, I still have my original saitek trim wheel. These things are rare as hens teeth !
@@CessSim My trim wheel works fine now. I have the Brunner cls eng joystick and the settings were wrong in the cls2sim software. I had to uncheck the use of cessna trim wheel in the cls2sim software. I am now able to trim perfectly. If I can find out how to disable the trimwheel in xpl12, I will try using the cls2sim sw for trim control again. Just to see if it works. Apparently there are some issues with planes using hydraulic trim in xpl12 vs cls2sim.
Excellent information. Thank.
no problems. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the video, this has been an issue in my sim for a few weeks, spinning and spinning and spinning
Thanks William. Hope this helped you somewhat. Appreciate your continued support of the channel.

Will this also work with the DeskTop Pilot Trim Wheel? I tried what you have suggested, but nothing seems to work. the sensitivity stays the same.
Not sure what is happening there buddy. I will check it out. Cant speak to the desktop pilot trim wheel but in theory should still work.
