    Appreciate the tip. Defiantly helped me control aircraft on the ground. 👍

      @@CessSim it’ll be after the new PC (on order) and the big family vacation…so August timeframe or so. Also thinking about trying to tweak my setup to run X-Plane 12 (have to say I love your setup)

      @@shadetreehomesim thanks mate. Certainly spent a fair bit of time on the sim over the years building it up, but very happy with it now.

    How have you created this video, no VR headset i can see but VR panoramic views? Do these pedals work with Quest3 VR

      I have 3 cameras working in parallel (Logitech C920). I use Streamlabs OBS for recording and streaming. Dont use VR although I have heard is pretty good.

    Interesting video. Would a real aircraft have a dead zone though? The controls in a cessna are directly connected to the flaps / wheels aren't they?

    • @CessSim
      @CessSim  Рік тому

      Good point you raise. Not sure if the direct connection on a real C172 has any dampening ability with any tension springs or not. Would need to clarify that. If not, then would certainly agree there should not be any play at all.......

      Nose wheel steering on a C172 doesn’t really have a direct connection to the pedals. Yes, the rudder is directly connected via cables, in the same way as elevator and aileron cables are connected to the yoke and differential braking uses a hydraulic system on each main wheel, but actual nose wheel steering is by a spring/bungee setup where it basically just pulls on the nose wheel a little. This means that firstly the nose wheel won’t budge unless there is some forward movement of the aeroplane and secondly the movement is a bit wishy washy and not really what you would call very direct.

      @@c310sim6 thanks for the clarification! So, I guess that means it would be impossible to translate that into control response curves in the sim. It would need to be programmed into the sim model to make the wheels feel wishy-washy based on the inputs you make and the state of the aircraft.

      @@flightsimdeskuk I guess so, but I think with a good set of well set up rudder pedals like these, I think it’s close enough to not matter.

    I'm living a nightmare trying to figure out how on earth my Seitek and Velocity flight controls suddenly began operating "COUPLED" as in rudder to ailerons. I believe it had something to do with the latest xplane 12 update. All flight controls worked beautifully before with the right response curves. Can someone help me find what I need to do to uncoupled the rudder and ailerons? Thanks so much.

      HI mate. That sounds like a first to me. Have you tried completely disconnecting the unit from the USB side, restarting XP without it plugged in and then attaching it again, perhaps in a different USB port?

      @@CessSim Thank you Q8 - I have tried that and still have the problem. I think now I wwill delete ALL x-Plane and reload the Disc version X-Plane 11 and see if it comes back. Thanks again for the suggestion.
