This is exactly what they should stick to doing and what they can be best at doing, animal advocates when animals are indeed being abused, but it could have easily been totally done by Humane Soc. or ASPCA as well.

So happy to hear this. My grandparents lived down the road from this place and we could hear loud barking from these poor babies. We never knew they were doing this just thought it was breeders. Hopefully they will be shut down for good.

Imagine the true horror begins when they are shipped OUT of the breeding facility and IN to the lab... your taxes pay for this. Look up videos of what happens in the lab, if you dare...

All animals need to stop being experimented on. Rats, rabbits, etc… So inhumane and cruel.

Beagle are used all over the US. They are docile and will not bite. I am so glad these dogs where rescued. I have three beagles. I wouldn't have any other dog

This is where the WHOLE STORY is NEEDED . These companies and the human's names who provide the funding to even fight the legal battle against this NEED TO BE PUBLIC,, what's to hide,, why protect them, they made their choices when they cashed the checks.. ALL INVOLEVED MAKE THEIR NAMES PUBLIC !!

It's so nice what you did a year ago rescuing these beagles. I've enjoyed a couple of You tube channels showing their adopted Envigo beagles and they look like they are doing good and so happy.

So love to watch these beagles being rescued from a horrible condition, but my heart still in pain for those beagles who were already sent to different labs, I hope somebody will end their agony.
It hurts my heart that they tattooed the sweet soft ears of these precious doggies, like they were a side of beef. God I hate people...but I love the people who rescue animals.

$500 to adopt one of these traumatized, unhousebroken and unsocialized dogs!??? I understand there are expenses and sterilization and vaccination. But there are plenty of seniors who would be loving owners but can't afford this outrageous fee. I tried hard to adopt. But this fee is unreal when local shelters will charge 60 to 80 for seniors who not only need the companionship of a small, docile dog like a beagle but who's low income housing requires a pet of under 40 lbs. In the SW our choices are chihuahuas and pit

They're further exploiting these poor dogs by making thousands of dollars off of them.
The fee is there to make sure the people who adopt dogs won't just turn around and resell them or use them for dog fight bait. There are cruel and uncaring people out there and the $500 fee is to make sure the dogs don't get abused and exploited again.

I recently had the privilege to assist in help finding one of these beagles that escaped from a foster. Beagle Alliance group serched for 3 days finally finding the beagle. The Beagle Alliance. PETA

How can this even happen in our country? In this world? I can’t fathom the emptiness inside anyone who profited from using these animals as if they were disposable. The drug companies behind this should be fined, taxed, and prevented from future operations. Disgusting. Makes me wonder how many other such facilities exist

Animals are used for all kinds of testing , there are numerous breeding facilities in the US and everywhere . It may be sad but the fact is that there has been countless life saving medications , experiments etc that we have ALL benefited from , including you .

When I was younger I was a security guard! I guarded where they used beagle puppies as experiments which killed my heart this animal lover I am ;( I would go fast past their cages:( It is really heartbreaking:( I am glad you got to help some n I thank you!

I have a beagle, and THANK GOD! She hasn't been experimented on, people are so cruel. Apparently they use beagles because they are very forgiving, but thats wrong. How DARE they take advantage of these amazing dogs? The fact some people dont even feel bad.. I hate them. Thank god 4,000 of these beagles were rescued, they should make it illegal, and remove these testing labs. This is horrid to see, and I don't even know how these-- *non-sympathetic* people just.. I hate this. I really do. I cried, as I was just searching "Beagle and Labrador," since I had both those breeds. I wanted to see videos of them interacting, happily, and I just- wow. This stumbled to my interests, and I will aware others about it. Thank you. I will warn my family, and spread awareness to my class , which I will be making a doc about-- shared to my teacher. She's been really down about it, too. And she told me NOT to search up pictures., but.. now.. I cant take it. Yet again, thank you! 🙏 May you have a great day.

Does anyone even asks what happened with dogs after? Have you ever seen the percentage of dogs put down after PETA rescue? 85-90% death rate
the company needs to be charge with cruelty to animals, they are not above the law, and the money will go taking care of the 4,ooo beagles the abused victims. It's really sad to see this was happening in the US.
I propose the beagle be made our national dog with the same protections as the bald eagle .65,000 killed a year no different than child molesters to me and they that do evil to beagles should be treated like them

There should be FBI raids and swat teams deployed to deal with all those research labs and anyone who sets them up. Those are criminal operations that torture animals.
This is really great news, but I'm disappointed that this facility won't be paying any penalties. I realize they are shutting down, but I don't feel that's enough.

Obviously this is a profitable business but busted because of their poor practices. Hopefully a journalist is on the job of an expose about this business and if we are complicit in this kind of animal exploitation, we need to learn about it.
