Michael, I just searched for Freddie's "Have You Ever Loved a Woman" and your reaction video from two years ago was one of the first things that popped up. So yes, you have reacted to Freddie King on the channel before. Keep doing what you're doing on UA-cam. I'll be watching and listening!
I've got "My Feeling For The Blues" on vinyl and it is just sooooo good. That starting track "Yonder Wall" just kills and you just know right off that you are in for a ride with this album.
Freddie is one of the most tasteful in the groove players I've ever heard.....and if SRV approves than I am sure we should all approve......Love Freddie.....long live the "Kings" (Freddie, Albert, B.B.)
First Freddie King video and man not going to lie, LOVE it! The man and the band, the sound, the feel and the soul, sounds so good and could listen to them and him for hours! It's awesome when you see musicians not just play, but feel what they play, play what they feel, and you see that here! ✌
Michael, thank you for picking my Reacts Request. 🙂I always do a search on Guitar Gate before I post a video. It seems like about half of the time I search someone has already posted the video. If it's been posted once I don't repost it, to avoid redundancies. When I searched "Freddie" on Guitar Gate, only 1 video for Freddie White appeared. I did not do a search on UA-cam to see if you had ever reviewed a Freddie King video. Sorry about any confusion but my search was only on Guitar Gate . Thanks again for reacting to this video. I hope you, and anyone reading this, has an excellent week. 😊 Cheers! 🍺
Got to see Freddy a few times in the 70's .... He was a force to recon with .... !!!!! . A major factor for me when I first picked up the guitar ...... :D
I've seen other videos of Freddie on this show - I believe it's a local Texas station - and the backing band is led by Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown. Couldn't get a good look at him in this video, though...
One of the first videos I saw of yours was a Freddie King reaction. Love "Going Down". I want to suggest you do a reaction to some Chris Duarte Group. He's the epitome of funky and wild blues for me. TONS of energy in his playing. His album Sugar Strat Magic is awesome 👌
@stevedostal2576 he's totally underrated. He might not be everyone's cup of tea, he gets a little crazy, but for fans of a psychedelic and funky blues rock sounds, he's a monster.
Freddie was such an amazing lead player. To bad he died so young. Fun fact: hes the guy grand funk was playing poker in the back with, he was a big time player apparently
i’ve never heard of you or freddie king until today and i’m glad to learn about both. i feel like i’m just starting my journey to learn guitar and it’s really cool to see you do these analyses. i found you through your bo burnham welcome to the internet reaction and i was wondering if you ended up watching his show? regardless you seem like a really cool guy and i’m gonna subscribe
Michael, someone has mentioned this, the great Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, wearing a brown coat, is playing right behind Freddie. I would encourage all to go down the Gatemouth rabbit hole.

I think his videos are different now, worth a new reaction
The great Clarence ‘Gatemouth’ Brown on rhythm guitar! (Moving between the dancers and the horn section, playing his blonde Rickenbacker.)
Freddie is one of the best to ever do it

Freddie King and Sunny Thompson wrote some incredible tunes. Thanks for covering this giant of the Blues 😃
Freddie was just too cool.
What a legend!

You can now add Marcus King to the list
Love Freddie. SRV often said Freddie was a major influence. Great vid!!
The melding of the player and his beautiful instrument. It’s all about the blues.
Freddie's hair was on 🔥...all part of the mojo
I love listening to Freddy play ... but I REALLY LOVE watching Freddy play

Me and the boys would do this one in the shed freshman year. Solos so badass we scared the neighbors 🤣 😅
Thanks Michael I love Freddie and learned so much from this video.
Nice shot of Billy Cox on bass at around 1:35. So that's 1/3 of the Band of Gypsys on that stage ha!

Excellent call Eric!
Wow. Just watched On My Way Down and it took a turn I did NOT anticipate. Downright nasty player (and band). Thanks for the new rabbit hole Eric.
@stevedostal2576 he's totally underrated. He might not be everyone's cup of tea, he gets a little crazy, but for fans of a psychedelic and funky blues rock sounds, he's a monster.
Fun fact: Freddie tended to play with both amp and guitar at full blast, and would vary his volume with his attack.
Yay another Freddie video 🤙🏼
Great lesson !
Love me some real nasty blues! Freddie was a bad man with that guitar. Thanks Michael.
Freddie is the man!!!!!
I live 30 minutes from San Jose! 😀 Another great video,MP!
Look up the swedish bluesplayer Sven Zetterberg, he is not here anymore, RIP.
If you can't get down with freddy, you better check your pulse, cause you might be dead!
One of the three kings! Best
It would be so splendid and delightful if you reacted to Hayley Heynderickx’s song The Bug Collector
Also worth noting, Clarence Gatemouth Brown was Freddie’s rhythm guitarist.
Very cool
Not quite, Gatemouth had the houseband at the TV show The Beat!!! until he got fired for not being able to read music.
That vibrato!

Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown playing rhythm.
Would love to see you react to Falling In Reverse new song Watch the World Burn. Incredible track with those signature Ronnie Radke vocals
Freddie was great, and also a guitar-face titan on par with Hendrix IMO
Booker T. and the MGs next.
Please go checkout Christ Stapleton doing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl !
10:26 Thanks. I guess.
All Swagger
ALL SWAGGER
That's 1:35 on the original UA-cam video not 1:35 on this video.
You forgot to mention Ed King. Shame on you! 🤨😉
