If you'd like to start using "The Path" on your own island, you can get the 9 slot design using this code: MA-6647-9230-4716
Also be sure to follow me on Twitch for live design streams and the upcoming villager hunt! -> www.twitch.tv/ryanftw
did you get the thought bubble to transfer? if so, too who
you should do like a live stream with you selling or giving away some of your stuff
Are you going to pick back up with Pokemon?
Loo
O
Ooiloooooooi
..
"The path" seems like some scary cryptid movie and then the thumbnail is just a cute animal crossing character lol
That’s literally what I was thinking 😂
Kjk 71 same 🤣🤣
The whole process of finding/learning the diy was hilarious.
- oh a present
- present floating away from the island
- oooo new diy
- oh I can use that
- 60 stones!?
What an emotional rollercoaster
*The creator of the path knew that this will be the only path people will use*
i dont use it
@JamiePlayz dead joke
A S !cool kid alert!
Question. If they were to make any changes to the path would everyone get the change or no???
@@Kaylee_20 once a custom design is posted, the creator can’t change it.
I just want to say when you are ready for trees, take a nook miles ticket, eat some fruit, dig up whole trees for your inventory. Saves time. I brought back 8 pine trees from my last island plus all the wood I could harvest, + stones. I needed lots of weeds for a diy project so brought back all those too, got 1000 miles just for weeding. While I was there, caught an arapima + 2 sharks, so really worthwhile trip.
Shush,you hear that?
That’s me. Crying,
I.need.more.design.slots.
At least like 10 more Nintendo please
This man sacrificed his get-ready-for-work time just to build a bridge in Animal Crossing but then not building it anyway.
if that aint me lol
I'm one of those people who used "the path" initially then I got fed up of seeing it everywhere so I've been using the default paths in game with pattern overlays instead and I'm way happier with it. That's just me though I'd just had enough, also bear in mind with the patterns instead of default paths, they don't change with the seasons, the in game dirt paths etc change colour slightly with the season changes so in winter they look frosty etc. Food for thought.
Looking great so far, it's nice to see you enjoying the design aspect of the game :)
The Path has a frosty version that you can just overlay over the existing spot for the brown one instead of manually repainting everything.
@@Monokm I'm still not a huge fan, personally I think it just makes the place look messy and not necessarily rustic. I just prefer the default paths and their colour variations
Ahh you've described my exact dilemma. I rarely use the path because of it's messy look, but I love the windyness of it. What pattern overlays do you use for your default pathing?
@@MO-zk8qs Well I try and wrap the dirt path around trees to create the windy look and use pine needles and appropriate coloured leaves dropped around on the path and surrounding area, I also have 2 puddle designs that I drop on. I use stepping stones to separate my paths so I'll end a dirt path a few squares before a bridge and put a new path at each side of the bridge to make it look well used and not to uniform. For example I start a bridge path with a "brick overlay" that matches the brick bridge or I just use cobblestone for the stone bridge. You really don't need to many patterns to make it look nice.
Im the same. I use a similar version of "the path" but it has flower borders not grass so it doesn't look */too/* weird in other seasons
I redid my island to make it more natural and the best advice that i can give, is that you should just place and construct things almost randomly and create ideas as you go. It definitely made it more enjoyable more me ☺️☺️
Myles Rauf yh I could but I want to take this game day by day :) Thx for the suggestion though
It’s what I did. I’ve played since day one and I just didn’t feel happy with how it was. I moved all my houses to the beach about a month ago and have taken my time laying paths and it feels like my island flows together now whereas before it was sort of mis matched jumble because I tried doing all my ideas at once.
The only thing I don't like about those log steaks is that they don't stack with each other. They feel like they're fences afterall
You are the Bob Ross of Animal Crossing, can't lose this title now lol
Inventory management method? See this is why crunchy be pointing out your inventory skills 😂
I will be the inventory management king 👑
-spends 10 minutes to make a bridge work
-end up hating the placement and not building the bridge
lol same
Lol yep me too!
Perhaps try using a more flat bridge for your Resident Services? The wooden bridge, suspension bridge, or the log bridge might be good options since they don't round up at the top. Also, the wood material bridges go along with the natural theme really well. Despite the bridge issue, the rest of the entrance looks great! I like how you're just building off whatever ideas you found that come to mind at the time. It helps make it even more natural!
The suspension bridge is my favorite! Its the second bridge on the list and it goes down instead of up! It might look better
Personally when i use the path i think it looks best when it’s never the same width for very long, so even those paths leading away from your RS could still be a little bit more random. I just plant flowers or place stone patterns to activate the new empty areas :)
The Path is its own virus, and unlike *other* viruses, I love it.
if it is, i recovered
I need those park benches. I swear I’ll never get them 😂
haha i can craft them if you want
Are you talking about the ones in the beginning? Because I can give them to you if you really want them
Snooty villagers give the recipe for it. I think there's usually one villager crafting for each hour of the day, so check in on your snooty villagers anytime they're home.
Nookazon has saved us
NessaOfDorthonion wait a min.... different villagers give certain recipes? Omg 😭
hey ryan! your entrance is looking great, but i just have a small bit of advice regarding the path. obviously you don’t have to use it, but thought it’d put it out there for anyone else who wants to use the path.
i use a version of the path that’s a bit lighter and has leaves and holes already in it, but it’s still the same path. my friends who also use the path have asked me a handful of times, “my path is looking straight, how does yours not look straight and instead looks natural?”. my answer is that i don’t use the same piece next to each other- more specifically the straight pieces. i’m more than willing to use the corner pieces next to each other, but the straight edged pieces look extremely clean cut and not very natural. just a bit of advice from someone who is kind of okay at animal crossing, utilizing the path by having no two straight pieces next to each other really helps the natural look.
I would maybe try a stone bridge there? And push the entry way bench back one space. But it's looking really cool so far!
The white bench looks nice with the flowers. I have switched teams from green bench to white bench.
I was so disappointed when I paid off my last house loan - not even a nook miles achievement
Yes me too!! I complain about that a little too much haha
Yes, I was also disappointed that there was no reward for it.
the reward is the house
@@peripathetic2724 Which you get before payment ... Go educate yourself .
Now you get extra storage
But like- the path is literally the best path ever, I’m using it myself and I love it
no
@A S
Ok?
I can't use it 😞
I love Pandemic, Terraforming Mars, and other strategic board games as well. Nice video!
Have you tried the Pandemic Legacy series yet? Amazing game and overall board gaming experience!
@@ryanftw_ Yes! I loved it, but we got stuck on July and then haven't play since lol.
Awww noo! We were lucky enough to only lose a couple of games haha hopefully it's something you guys look into returning to soon, the story gets so good in September! 😄
I’m in the process of redoing my entire island as well. I’m doing more of a cityscape type style, but there’s a chunk of me watching this and thinking “Wow, I really like this” and trying to resist tearing down what I have done 😂
You're making me want to redo sections of my island! lol Love the new dirt path
These videos are so wholesome and calm! Great work!
My first video I watch in a long time and it’s at 5:50am. I’m watching at 5:50 am lol.
When his island already looks better even tho i have a 200 hour island 👁👄👁 in the beginnig i could fish for 4 hours every day dont ask me how and i started designing my island like a month ago and i got from release lmao
ok you cant try to put a bridge down without water. Also, you dont pay nook for the bridge, you pay the gyroid after you lay it down. Also, when you pay off your house, its not that its free to customize but you get ALL customizable options for the house. You only have a select amount before paying it off.
I think the brick or wooden bridge would actually look best--brick would blend well with the plaza, wooden would be nice and flat and fit with the natural feel.
I use to take my mini diy work bench then I accidentally sold it. Then I had to get supplies that I thought I had to create another one.
I cannot unsee the turtle anymore. :) hahahaha
I love this style of video like minimal to no editing and just chatting, you inspired me to start my own channel 🧡
I am living for these island designing videos. Ryan, you're making me tempted to destroy my university island and start over 😂😂
Looks brilliant, can’t wait for more. I think if you was doing a bridge the suspension bridge is a great natural looking one
Oh how I miss watching these as they came out❤ highlight of my day was catching a stream or watching a new chill video. Miss ya ryan!
THE path
I'm crying you addressed my question in an official video ;;; Really can't wait to see what your end result will be ❤️
What was your question??! I missed it
Thank goodness! Those 2 spots under the fountain were DRIVING ME CRAZY! I’m so glad they’re FINALLY gone. 😉
If you are going for the cottagecore look, what you’re doing so far is much too like “organised”? Especially around the town hall with the flowers... you’re in the right place with the entrance though, it’s trial and error ☺️
I really want to see him do a full video wearing the king tut mask😂😂
Also I think that Bridge would look nicer with water coming out into the where the flowers are planted. Just a thought
I stage workbenches in different regions of my island so I'm never far from one. Carrying one and constantly dropping it and picking it up is a PITA.
*GASP* You time traveled?! Lol, jk. I tried doing it too when I tried moving my rocks. Not sure if you might wanna do that before you complete setting up your island.
Ahh right, thanks for reminding me about the rock movement! Yeah definitely need to figure out where I'm going to put those.
RyanFTW imagine setting up your rock garden now, all the empty space 😰
What do you do for work, Ryan?
I love Turtle Mountain! Thanks for sharing. 🐢
Nice! I was hoping we could build up areas as well as cut through them. Dreaming about terraforming my island. I already had to buy some sets because i was playing Rune Factory Special Edition 4 when this game came out. The advantage is I have all of your videos to help me design rather then even more destructive work to frustrate myself with.
i once visited an island using this path. it looked like hell to work with but it looked so good 😭
I love that turtle shape you made there! I am so gonna make a turtle somewhere on my island, such a nice look.
Oh my goodness I just downloaded this path too! I’m so excited to see what you create!
Today Teddy asked to move out and I’ve never closed the game so fast. I need him and Lyman to be workout buddies.
I did almost this exact same cliff thing on my island, great minds think alike!
I live for these videos. Can't wait to see what other ideas you come up with. I'm not very much of a terraforming person. Only because I would like to keep the integrity of my island the same. I do adjust here and there but not too much.
:)
Hey man, love your videos btw. I'm not 100% sure but I tried to get an apollo with 200 NMT and didn't appear. I've heard that the personality types that are on your island try to not appear on the mistery island. I had a Walt and a Croque, which both are Cranky, so that's why I think the Apollo didn't appear. Try to take this into account for the villager hunting. Good luck. :D
Does any one have a code for a “The Path” path that has a single tile design in it? Because with these you can only make 2 tile paths. I really like to include some variation with this path tho, so a version that has an extra single tile would be so awesome :’)
I found one by searching “the path” on the kiosk thing. I’ll try find it again tomorrow and get the code. I’d do it now but it’s 3am and I’m in bed :)
@@beautyandtech1515 it’s been a year now have u done it
Try using the wood bridge or rope bridge since it doesnt go up in an arch like the one you used here. It might look better
The original creator of his plaza design used stone bridges ;)
Subbed, this looks like content to me lol
I think using a flat bridge would look way cooler on that piece of water
This is so calming!
Looks so good! How did you get the stone look around your hedges?
omggg turtle pond! so cute. you should put turtles at the top hahah
Just found your videos! Your super funny and excited to watch more of your content❤️
I know you said it looks like a turtle, but I kept thinking it looks like a music note!
::In my best Bob Ross voice::
Happy accidents!
I know it's a little late but I would like to suggest a path that is a little darker but has much more variety as in some of the paths have little paws or a small pond even some leaves.
The code is: MA-4147-2454-4020
If you would consider it I think it would look much better. Thanks
P.S. not my design saw it on a different yt video by: Ninten Talk I believe
You could also just replace the light path sides, center, and top with the dark version and it will auto change to that one then you can just add ponds, paws, and leaves.
Every video starts with Ryan mentioning how early he wakes up.
What's the custom design you're using underneath your hedges? I would like to use it :3
Ryan....you...you planted yellow and red mums where roses needed to be... (29:35 for clear shot)
Try the stone bridge. That may look better.
You also get storage from paying off your last loan which is more than worth it imo
Am I the only one who thinks turtle pond looks more like a snail?
Same!!
I finally got the villager who I didn’t like to move out. So excited to find a new villager. How do you get 10,000 miles in an hour?
Rachel buy some tickets, people sell for bells
Love ur videos!! And btw, how. HOW do u have like 17 mil Bells? 😫 pls teach me your Ways 😂
Turnips, turnips, turnips!
The suspension bridge is my fav and it looks very natural 😍
maybe a wooden bridge would look cooler?
Giant stag loss 20:13
I think you have your mum section and rose section around the plaza a bit jumbled? 😬
Watching Ryan not know how bridges work like 🤦♀️ lol
Ryan?? TTing??? wow so off brand but lowkey we love to see it
im so happy you uploaded
your videos are the closest thing i can get to a new horizons experience cause im broke and i dont have a switch
Its cool to see how your island changes and evolves.
hey bud can you share your path you did in the island build pls thank you
I watch this so I can get the feel of animal crossing because I don’t have a switch
Super interested to see how this all comes along! Can't wait to see the dream address of this!
what’s your island called?
XD all I'm doing is waiting for the hedges to come in tho stock
What is the code for the brick edging please?
That was fun 👏. Thank you for sharing 👍👍
what the code for to paths under the hedges does anyone know?
a happy little pond 👉👈
imagine he wearing a hawai shirt in August
in watching your video, when putting your bridge down, it didn't look right because you really want water on each side of the bridge.. I think it looked off because there was no water to show that the bridge was going over water .. maybe make a long body of water right from the airport and put the bridge going over the body of water entering towards the residence center ... but that is what I think the issue was ... you couldn't see any water so there didn't seem to be a purpose for the bridge .. hope that helps a little ....
The Ketchup fiasco in the last video turned up to be soo helpful for me. I woke up today and Marshal wanted to move out.
PANIK
but all was ok because I knew what to do from your video and the comments
Glad my confusion and suffering was useful to someone! Haha 😂
i could TOTALLY use this on my isl-
60 STONES!!!!
Ryan, talking about how a feature works.
Me, knowing this is not how it works.
Okay, when is he going to figure it out. *You go, Ryan!*
Lol you said wonky. I’m telling Ron.
Oh my gosh im so shocked when you said you are time travelling. :( im really sad that you are time travellimg cos i thought you are the one and only youtuber that is so patient that do not time travel. But its ok. Its not my game, its not affecting my game, you bought that game yourself so you do you ryan! Love you.
I know, I'm so sorry! 😭 I don't plan on TT'ing consistently once this whole process is completed. I'm primarily going to use it as a tool to help speed up moving buildings to help me with the designing, after that I plan on taking it day by day again.
New sub. Just cuz i wanna see the end result 😆
Hey ryan i bought
a nook miles ticket and there was no villager do you know why?
Be sure there's a housing plot ready to go for someone to move in! If there's not, you won't find any villagers on any mystery islands. 😁
people like -you- me are why we had to pay for the inventory expansion up front instead of getting a loan
